Daci & Daci Bakers reviews
66 After catching up with my adult children this is my first stop whilst in Hobart.
EVERYTHING I have ordered here has been exquisite - visually and gastronomically.
Quite busy at city location although less so at Sandy Bay. Lovely ambience and helpful staff.
Mango passion fruit cake was not worth money but my friend had black forest which was good but overpriced.
Very happy. The staff were very friendly and served us well and the atmospherewas amazinh. The food was really good and very well priced.
Almost like sitting in a cafe in Paris. Really enjoyable coffee stop with friendly service, great coffee and amazing pastries and cakes on offer. Best cafe we found in Hobart.
Dropped in here by chance after a quick trip through the Salamanca markets. The cakes and slices looked fantastic and the little lime number was a treat, but be careful the lime is strong (I liked it but others may not). The reason for only 4 stars is that the hot drinks were tepid at best. The staff were all great and I am sure if we raised the issue they would have fixed. But first impressions count.
The cafe was opulent as described on their website but the feeling wasn't exactly welcoming.staff were friendly but the place itself is uncomfortable. Was not reminiscent of cafes in France if that is the desired theme.
All the food on display looked amazing but our order did not have the same wow factor when eaten. The sausage roll was dense and the meat was dry. Pastry was great. It was odd to see Croissants hidden away behind the staff on a low shelf. The outer crisp of the Croissant was nice but the layers were thick, it had no warmth and no hint of butter.
It's worth noting that alot of people appeared to be enjoying themselves but our experience was more looks then substance.
The food was excellent service exceptional atmosphere very friendly & welcoming definitely would recommend
We had the Belgian chocolate tart served with cream. It was super good, excellent. Staffs were friendly and knowledgeable on the products and was able to advice us accordingly. Will be back for more desserts in the future.
Daci looks like a tourist trap with its fancy cakes on display in the window of a historic building, but oh, those cakes and meringues are just sensational.
And the coffee is really good, and, astonishingly, it serves the best tea in Hobart.
They’ve really nailed everything here.
And to top it off, they have an amazing selection of gluten-free treats – in a bakery cafe!
Daci is in a superb spot, just across the road from the parliament, and minutes away from the waterfront and Salamanca. The street outside is busy but there’s plenty of paid parking in the streets nearby and down at the waterfront.
Staff were lovely, fast, friendly. We can’t recommend this enough.
We went for tea and a treat. Settled for Rose Tea, which fitted the atmosphere. Service by the formally uniformed waitress was quick and efficient. The treats were as good as they looked - delicate, petite but sweet. Tea in a pot allowed too steep. Overall had a lovely arvo tea - it is all a bit pricey but you would/should expect that. One for the tourists.
OMG the Coffees, breakfasts & fresh breads were out of this world. Only disappointment, they weren't open Sundays Boo
Bread wasn't fresh and tasted almost stale. Service was very poor. Waited 10 minutes before waiter asked to take our order. It wasn't busy. After our meal we wanted something sweet. Went to the counter to order but rather than take my order there (I was happy to pay) I was told to go back to my table and order via waiter. Waited over 15 minutes and no one came to take our plates or check if we wanted to order more. Got up, paid and left. Wouldn't recommend this place at all.
Warm and cosy atmosphere. Excellent customer experience and superb service. Some of the best cakes that I've found in Australia.
Thanks Team Daci
I will never go to they sandy bay shop again.you have to wating outside. And not a good answer from the shop owner, COVID 19 is not a good excuse when you have more then ten people having food at the same time also definitely not have enough social distance for each other! Just have a bad service! Please no excuse!
Not often do we go to the same place twice when we are away on holidays but let me tell you.
Three dine in breakfasts and one take away breakfast and I'd go back tomorrow.
This is am awesome amazing cafe that reminded me of a cafe I went to in St Michel in Paris, France.
Top quality food, amazing service, well priced, Gr8 range, clean, attentive staff, perfect beverages.
Sooooo goooooood.
Take me back already.

No doubt this is the Best spot for breakfast or brunch. Every time we are in city we make sure we dine here. Must try the cakes.
Ratatouille with baked eggs was flavourful.
Lovely staff, efficient service, quite a short wait for orders to be served. Bakery goods presented at front look scrumptious.
Quaint menu, if you are after something a little different - this is your place.
We had a egg&smoked salmon croissant, and an apple strudel. The apple strudel was PERFECTLY delicious. The croissant was good in general but the egg and smoked salmon was quite salty. We had to drink a lot of water to offset the saltiness. Any chance to lower the salt level? It would be a healthier option too.
Oh this is good. Really excellent coffee and wonderful food. There's a nice European vibe about the place, but the coffee is better than you'll find anywhere in Europe. Croissants, pastries, etc, are all world class. Can’t recommend highly enough.
Such a charming place to eat brunch! We were attracted by their European interior and their cakes so we decided to eat in, and it did not disappoint. Their pastries (chicken pot pie, plain croissant w/ raspberry jam, apple strudel w/ whipped cream) were terrific! So flakey and light. The jams and whipped cream paired so well with the sweet pastries, and the pot pie was flavourful. If there's anything to add I would say the filling of the apple strudel was on the lesser side, so more of that please:) service was amazing and attentive; they were extremely thoughtful and great to talk to.we've bought some cakes back home to try and can't wait to dig in
