Daci & Daci Bakers reviews
66Lots of great bakery items and a good place to pick up a birthday cake for someone special.
We popped in for a coffee and a snack. The coffee was good. We also had a chocolate brownie, and a chocolate hazelnut cookie. The brownie was incredible, so flavourful and the perfect texture. The cookie was also delicious although a little thin.
Great service and food.
I've been here several times.
I love the almond croissant and most of the pastries. The coffee is ok, but the hot chocolate is great. If you're looking for a great coffee go elsewhere, but this is certainly the best for pastries and cakes. Would highly recommend
Had a great breakfast and excellent coffee in the very elegant environment. The cakes and bread looked amazing but I was too full to try any!
Loved the atmosphere and food. Had tomato soup and russian salad. Would prefer the salad warm, soup was hot and tasty. For desert, was something with lime = not too sweet, not heavy, loved it. Took the salad home and bought the chocolate bomb. Last one was so amazing. Easy mousse in chocolate but tastes great.
I disagree with the reviews regarding gluten free options. I was told there was no gf bread and there was only one cake that was gf. I know going to a patisserie is not really an option for a celiac but these days gf bread should be available. Keep it in the freezer!
It was a fantastic experience having my coffee and lunch here. The waitress that was serving our table was very patient and nice, she placed cutlery and other stuff so delicately and with care that I really enjoyed their attention to the details. I had orange cake and chicken pie that were both stunning. The coffee tasted great too. Highly recommend! Very beautiful place with professional people that care about customers:)
Great coffee, amazing food- so many sweet and savoury delicacies to choose from! Picking just one is a real challenge, they all look like works of art! Trust me you'll return many times to try their amazing creations.
Love it, beautiful and sophisticated café.
All the sweets (Macarons, Pain au chocolat) are very authentic which isn’t always the case.
Fantastic cake creations!
Great coffee and friendly staff ️
If you are in Hobart you MUST come here. The coffee is excellent, the service is amazing & the food? OMG, the best cakes & pastries I've ever had. I wish there was one in Canberra!
The raspberry Danish looked amazing. Shame it didnt taste great. Pastry dry & little flavour. Tasted like it was 2 days old. Quite disappointing. Staff were good. They were more than happy to warm up the pie I also bought. All of their sweets, cakes & pastries look fabulous. I just wish they tasted better. Tad disappointing.
Shop and cakes look amazing, however customer service very poor! I chose the cakes we wanted, then take away sales assistant took our cakes and said "First in first served. "
Needless to say we didn't have any cakes. Ordered a Belgium hot chocolate, that came out only warm and tasted foul! My wife ordered the 7 spice chai, not any better with chai powder bombs throughout the drink!
Disgusting and we do not recommend this place.
Never again!
Disappointing, average coffee lukewarm and lacked taste. Seafood tart was good but the pastel de Nata was miserable, having made a point of eating these wherever I could in Portugal I think I can fairly judge a decent one. The custard was lacking in egg taste the pastry was acceptable but the overall unique shape detracted from the experience. Given the price and level of the market they pitch themselves to the experience could only be described as disappointing. However but a seafood tart for takeaway and you will be OK.
Very surprised by owners reply I really did not think Daci and Daci was aimed at the lower end of the market.
Must try. Can be busy. Good coffee. Good Pastry and dessert selection! Attentive staff. Best is they open early and near the wharf. So we had brekky here before our Mona trip and the Wellington bus tour. Prices are surprising cheap if you will compare it to typical hipster cafes around. Serving js not big but food quality is great.
Food and coffee were delicious but they apparently did not have time to simply cut a croissant in half, despite the shop being half empty at 10am on a weekday
So good, a must stop for a Hobart visit, so easy to accommodate for a birthday cake and I'm sure any other celebration too.

Well balanced food, may require salt and pepper to accommodate your taste. Milkshake with real chocolate! Hot chocolate with real chocolate!
This place is worth coming too!
Enjoyed my time at this cafe, I had Chicken Pie and it was on the dot.they got loads of options to choose from. Exceptional service, great coffee highly recommended.
Will try Desert on my next visit
Sadly disappointing, as used yo be great cafe all day. Ordered late lunch, sausage roll burnt & my galette very brown & oily - like they had sat in a baie-marie since 7am. Cafe is looking tatty, average coffee & service varied - just not a good experience. Day later @ New Town - totally different experience - Salamanca needs an overhaul, as plenty other places to go in the area.
Enjoyable end to our holiday. Lovely baked eggs with mushrooms and sour dow was so yummy sure it’s so full of butter that I better swim home to Melbourne haha but who cares I’m on holidays!
My gf had the baked eggs with ratatouille and large coffees which was well prepared also.
Unfortunately I couldn’t fit in a cake but they looked so good! I will have to return and have one next trip.
