Commercial Hotel Cygnet

The kitchen is run by a coeliac, so I felt completely at ease.
Had an enormous parma for the first time since my diagnosis. It was succulent and tender.

Rod & the crew are great value. Thanks so much for squeezing our dinner orders in (along with about 5 other people) even though you were trying to close the kitchen. As a vegetarian I was relieved to see a mushroom & haloumi burger on the menu, after having had so many bland risottos at other pubs - so often the only vego option. The pub has a long and interesting history, which you can read about in a booklet at the bar. The staff were great, the food was delicious and I’d highly recommend stopping by for a beer and checking out the old photos that adorn the walls. Thanks Rod, we’ll definitely be back next time we’re down that way.

Mum and dad celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary here with a cup of tea. Nice place clean Good toilets. I think the place has changed hands. Good parking and day to get my mum in to have a seat.

Good old pub food. Nice Tassie Scallops for me and another nice dish for my partner. It is an old pub but if you like good old pub food you should enjoy this one.

Lovely atmosphere, friendly staff. Meals are way too pricey, other than the ‘Special Deals’. Eg. $27.50 for Chicken Parmigiana in a local pub! Hm. This price and other non special deal options are priced equivalent to real good inner Sydney restaurants.

This place is so not like a pub meal. The food was excellent and a great selection. Well priced and great selection of drinks. This place never disappoints.

We had a very nice lunch here, plenty of choice, service was quick and the staff happy and efficient.

We dined here once a fortnight for almost a year when we lived in Cygnet. They offer a great variation of food for adults and kids. They also offer takeaway which is handy in a small town.

Not a lot of choices in town for dinner. The Pasta specials are basic. Can't comment on the a la carte menu. Seems like pub food. No scenery anywhere in town so this place was as good as any.

Great food and very good prices. Totally unexpected felt a bit annoyed no cafes open in Cygnet so glad they weren't and we found the pub. Will definitely come back when next in Tassie.

Food a bit pricey. The rump was a little plain in flavour, but apparently the pork scallopini was quite good. Cozy inside the pub. Friendly, helpful staff. One of the only dinner options in town. Tap beers limited to Coopers Pale, Great Northern, Cascade Draught, but you can buy from the generously stocked bottle shop to consume in the hotel.

Relaxed comfortable atmosphere, restaurant welcoming service, top of the range chef and kitchen staff!

Great pub to have a meal and a few drinks any day of the week. Food is great, the beers cold and the staff are super friendly. Can't ask for much more

Traditional country style pub, open evenings until at least 10pm so one of the few places in the area to have a dine-in dinner. Won't win any awards for decor, but has large serves, good food, friendly staff. There is a cafe/restaurant, takeaway food, bottle shop, outdoor eating area with one of the only water glimpses available in an eatery in Cygnet. Your evening destination in Cygnet during the early part of the week!

Typical small town pub. Great service, nice food with very generous servings, nice fire in the dining room, perfect spot to stop on the way to hobart.
