Love the place. However recently I found that the square parmiage has shunk still my favourite meal and will continue to order but would love the original size to return as well as the extra cheese and thinly sliced cabbage. Lots of love

Beautiful old pub but really loved and looked after. Staff were brilliant, food was great and quick. Forgot to order desert but I'd say that's awesome aswell

Great place to catch up and spend time with family, the meals were terrific, the staff are friendly, the bar was great for a small country town 62km outside of Hobart.

For years I’ve hankered after a scallop pie but have never been able to find a gluten-free version. Today whilst strolling around Cygnet I was thrilled to spot a sign advertising GF Scallop Pies at the Commercial Hotel.
I immediately went in and was able to pick up a hot take away pie. It was delicious and packed with scallops, the curry sauce not overpowering either. The GF pastry was excellent too.

Good, filling meals in a heritage building. Beautiful town. Relaxing alfresco eating available. Also offers take away and rolls etc

Thank you for the tasty meal after a long day exploring your beautiful valley. It's been a long time since Ive enjoyed a roast Vegetable Stack such as that and the salad was perfect.

Went here on 28/12/2022 for some food with the restaurant being decently full. We went in and waited 5 minutes to be served which was fine. Sat down outside and the staff struggled to open and close the door when carrying food (was scared they would honestly drop something). Ended up moving inside once a table opened up which was a nice environment. Food took 45 minutes to come out (was a parmi and a burger), for what it was definitely wasn’t worth the wait. Staff were very nice and apologetic towards the wait which was good. Obviously needs more staff in kitchen and out front as tables were dirty and food took forever.good big portion for price though

Vege stack is irresistible with a rainbow of layers and oozing cheese, pesto and just a feast for eyes and taste buds.

Came to have a drink and was told to leave as we walked to the door stating we couldn’t use the car park it’s private. Incredibly rude and don’t want customers using the car park

Dropped in here without expectations or any food to eat and the staff were amazing! They squeezed us in last minute for the most delicious pub meal I've had in a long time. Lovely staff and reasonable prices. Great place to stop by and sit out on the terrace for a bite to eat or a drink highly recommended!

Great food, great friendly service, can’t ask for more than that! Everybody in our party of 7 thoroughly enjoyed their meal and we are glad we found this place.

This pub, hands down has the very best mouth watering chicken parmy in Tasmania. Consistently has delivered nothing but the very best every single time we visit, thanks for the privilege guys.

I had a delicious GF chicken schnitzel with chips, salad and mushroom gravy! It was fantastic to see so many gluten free options on a pub menu. Very fast, friendly service and generous serving sizes!

We had the roast of the day and it was terrible! My wife could not even eat her meal and I left a large part of mine, the meat was so tough I could hardly cut through it and the pumpkin was burnt black!
Have to be one of the worst meals I have had served to me!
