Comfort Inn Gold Rush reviews
55Clean, comfortable, and quiet. Quite expensive in high season for what it is though. Only complaint was the fridge was louder than a B-double freight truck in the night. Not many choices in queenstown and so this was a good stopover
When you arrive at this place, you feel instantly welcome! Bernie, the owner couldn't be more helpful, happy to share his local knowledge in a very warm way! The rooms are spotless and extremely clean and tidy, something we noticed straight away! I even took the liberty to offer our host Bernie a beer, since we felt almost like family, that's the feeling you will get when reporting to the office for checking inn! Definitely a lovely experience, not just the normal sterile atmosphere in your traditional Motor Inn, thank you Bernie!
Motels in rural Tasmania are somewhat expensive, because you don't have much choice of accommodation.
The room was dated but clean, the only heating which was portable could not heat the room.
The room we had didn't have parking out front, so it was find a park.
We were all grouped together as most motels do, the old couple next to us used the bathroom many times during the night, resulting in noises and a lack of good sleep. Nice reception and friendly greeting.
I have stayed at the Gold Rush twice and for me it typifies everything that is excellent about regional, Australian hospitality. The hotel is immaculately clean and captures the essence of one of Australia's most unique regions - the West Coast of Tas. It's not the Park Hyatt and doesn't pretend to be - it is exactly what it is, but done to its absolute best. The owner operators are top notch. Can't recommend highly enough. Terrific value at the price it is.
Wonderful experience. Did put review on but stupid ipad has a mind of it's own. Wonderful rooms, staff and everything well done
It's the nicest hotel in Queenstown and the owner is great. The only small criticism we had is that the small heater in the room is just not enough to warm the entire room up as it was quite cold while we were there. The electric blankets are a nice touch though and help with the cold! The amenities and everything else are fantastic.
It was our first time and stay in Tasmania. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. Good mattresses and linen. Excellent pressure shower and breakfast was substantial and on time as requested. The hosts were friendly and accommodating. The check in process quick. We found Queenstown a good base point to explore Strahan and surrounds. Thank you for a great stay
Fantastic rooms and facilities the staff were excellent and very helpful 10 out of 10 definitely will stay again if in Queenstown.
Clean and large rooms, however furniture looks old and smell, not a very nice room just average.chrage money for a cot for infant
Dont know other motels in town but I would of check other options.
Lovely, spacious and modern rooms, great service also. Would totally recommend to anyone looking to stay for a short or long time in Queenstown Tasmania.
Absolutely great! Warm, clean, quiet room, nice bathroom and heated bed, just for my arthritis.:)
What I liked the most was.black - DECAF tea.:)
First time ever I saw black - decaf tea in a room. <3
Very nice, friendly, professional service.
I travel all over the world; I stay in motels, hotels, hostels pretty much all the time (in ***** and *, and the one with no stars).
This was the best motel I have ever been to. <3
Excellent find after a long day. Very clean and accommodating.small kitchen if you need, that was a surprise!
This is one of the best in Tasmania for friendly service and good clean rooms and wonderful food to go with it. Thank you
Stayed here 4 nights. Great service, and very good info on what to do around Queenstown. The only bad thing was the shower curtain (I don't like shower curtains). Also it was a great place to stay to watch the Queenstown stage of Targa.
