Comfort Inn Gold Rush

Well! We are family from Melbourne and booked in just before covid to go visit this place. However due to covid our family trip got cancelled- border closure! We then planned to go during this year (after border reopened) to Tasmania. Every hotel we had booked in was happy to change dates for our accomodation or give us a refund except for this one! They refused to refund or even accomodate us when we are finally coming to Tassie.

Pretty bad! If you are planning a trip and you never know if the trip might get cancelled due to covid or unforeseen circumstances do not book in here! As they aren’t going to refund anything or even rebook your stay

Wonderful welcome and service. Meals great. Room spotlessly clean and well appointed. Position a little bit too far from town centre to walk it safely on busy road.

Comfortable rooms. Warm once you put the heater on. It was quiet throughout the night even though it is on the highway. Not much traffic after sundown. The beds are cosy. The rooms were very clean. A good spot to stay. The restaurant was closed though for my visit. There are other options to eat in the town.

Greeted by a very informative and helpful receptionist. The room was beautifully clean.room with microwave and dinnerware. A nice flat walk to town. Beautiful view from our room of the mountain.excellent value wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Lovely helpful receptionist and a beautifully clean room with microwave and dinnerware (and the first teapot of our trip - bonus points). A bit of a walk to town but no steep hills. Nothing fancy but xcellent value.

Simple, clean & a comfortable bed in a quiet little town, lovely gentleman at reception, it’s perfect if you’re going on the amazing steam train ride. With a wonderful view from the room! (Look beyond our car lol)

My wife and I were guests of the Probus group of 31 that stayed at the Inn for three nights. The room was clean and comfortable. The host Bernie and his wife provided us excellent meals and the service by Sharon was excellent. My wife and I will definitely stay here whenever we visit Queenstown again.

In a good location and the lady on reception was very knowledgeable, welcoming and passionate about Queenstown and the greater area. The room and premises was well looked after and we had no faults with our stay. We had an enjoyable stay!

Super friendly staff & great accommodation. Went there already twice and def will be back. Bathroom was clean & rooms were big. Even an electric blanket & well equipped kitchen.

Wonderful stay! Room was super clean and tidy, spacious, great condition. Check in/ out was super smooth and the staff were very helpful with suggestions of what to do in the area.

You pay a bit more at this motel but it's worth it, large motel room, everything spotless clean, very comfy beds and room can be warmed up quickly

Unfortunately the motel did not deliver what it advertised.
We booked a room that was advertised as a quad room, with a kitchenette and separate sitting area.
The room we were given had a double and a single bed, no sitting area, and the kitchenette consisted of just a microwave and a few plates.
I pointed out the discrepancies and was met with a hostile response. The receptionist mentioned they could also give us the room next door as we were short a bed, but travelling with two young kids this was not an option to put them in a room by themselves without an interconnecting door.
We ended up having to leave, and checked into another motel.
Most disappointed that the motel refused to refund when clearly the advertising was incorrect and we weren’t provided with what we paid for.

The owner was really rude to us during our stay. He spoke to us in a very rude manner when he could of have said said it in a much politer way.

Clean and comfortable, good for groups. Microwave, fridge and some kitchenware in the rooms. Enjoy the stay.

We had a great stay and would strongly recommend. The rooms were really clean and property was well maintained. We received a nice reception on arrival with some great recommendations of places to eat. Look forward to staying again on the future.

Clean, well presented quiet comfortable beds bathroom a little tight plenty hot water wel fitted out.

Clean and comfortable heating was put on before we arrived most appreciated, very friendly staff lovely big room even had a bath tub family friendly and close to everything

This motel has to be on my list of the very best motels. The owners and staff are lovely, friendly and very hands on. The rooms are exceptionally clean with beautiful linens and towels. Great ammenities. The owners have thought of everything to make your stay a pleasant experience. All ground floor rooms. Laundry facilities. Outdoor lighting for your security. Parking outside of every room. Great breakfasts.
