Comfort Inn Gold Rush reviews
55Queenstown is so worth a drop in and stay the night, especially this motel. Our host was lovely and gave us great recommendations for dinner, and handy shortcut travel tips. The rooms are as the photos others have posted and are so clean and comfy. Strahan gets all the pretty press, but the people we met here are tops.
We intended to stay one night, but ended up staying for two. Our room was very comfortable, well appointed and super clean.it's a short (convenient) level walk to Queenstown centre.
Bernie was very helpful in recommending places to go and things to see, which is great when you don't know your way around.
And the little restaurant was an added bonus!
Best motel ever. Comfy room love the wooden roof. Well placed aircon and many framed photos hanging around to give the homely vibe. This is the first toilet with heating lamps I’ve been to during my trip. Very nice for the cold weather. Even the bed has electric warmers. Service is very friendly and welcoming.
WOW, what a gem of a place.
From the moment we arrived we were greeted by a very friendly lady who was extremely helpful and knowledgeable about the area. She had great suggestions on what to see and do.
The rooms were very spacious and clean and even with the high ceilings, there were no cobwebs in site. It was cleaned to a very high standard.
The beds were comfortable for hotel bed's and there was a nice little kitchenette.
The location is just outside of town but it is beautiful and quiet with only the sounds of the steam nearby.
There is a restaurant on-site that offers dinner, plenty of parking, and WiFi is good. It has a laundry room and there are beautiful views of the mountains.
There was an initial mix up with the online booking but the owner and receptionist were quick to sort it out and accommodate us. Our room was clean and well presented, making the whole experience very positive. I wish we could have stayed longer!
The owners are the worst customer servants you’ll come across. Even though the rooms were ok, I’d never stay in here based on the attitude they have.
Avoid this place if you’re in Queenstown. People like those should not own a business where they provide customer service. Very rude people
Fantastic room for value, comfy bed with electric blanket, modern facilities and very friendly and helpful service from Bernie, we had a great time at the Gold Rush Inn.
Great food, mix of modern Australian and Asian influenced cuisines. Nice atmosphere, good service.
I stayed here on a bus tour and was extremely impressed with all the extra little touches in the room, such as makeup remover towels and air deodorizer in the bathroom. The owner was very friendly and made us all feel welcome.
Slightly outdated (we didn't mind) but very clean rooms. Note that the kitchens do not have cooktops in case you wanted to cook your own food, only micowaves.
Convenient location away from the centre of town. Rooms are excellent and the kitchen with microwave is very handy. Friendly staff.
Comfortable, clean motel room with all the essentials plus a bit more. Lovely high timber ceiling, and a little view of bush out the back window. I stayed here in a.standard Queen room 5 months ago and that was perfectly good. This time I was in a superior Queen, which had a new bathroom and kitchen too. And very good value for money at a reasonable price.
We stayed one night here on our way back from Launceston to Hobart. The room is clean, warm and cozy. Plenty of amenities.
Service was great. The Manager, Bernie, was very welcoming and helpful with explaining the services available in the town, dinner options and nearby attractions. Oveall, it was memorable stay and value for money.
Spacious room with enough space for 4 adults. The kitchenette is well equipped and the toilet is very clean. A very comfortable stay!
Warm, clean cosy and accommodating. Affordable, child friendly accommodation with access to port-a-cot. Comfortable beds, well equipped kitchenette.
Very clean impeccable customer service and very friendly. Will absolutely recommend to all based on this standard
The room was lovely and has everything you would need. I was very grateful for the wifi because my phone was out of service and I had vital work to do online. It was warm and cosy and very clean. Super convenient! Thankyou for having us.
Just outside the main strip of town
Clean and tidy
Has everything you need for a short stay
Wall to wall with other guests (some noise may be heard at times)
Horrible man at reception when checking in. Surly and abrupt. Rooms were lovely and clean. Staff noisy outside our room however were helpful nonetheless. Lady on checking out was cheery and nice. Queenstown a one horse town for tourists however the wilderness railway was the draw card. Township hasn't much to offer but the Tai was yummy.
A 26-room motel, which was a gem of a place. Neat and well-appointed rooms, an excellent shower, laundry room, and a hearty cooked breakfast, The owner, Bernie, greets and sees off each visitor, such a treat!
