If you want Heinz bbq sauce in your Kilpatrick oysters then go here. Wine missed the mark. Potential for a great view but seating arrangement meant you were positioned away from it. Staff were attentive but just doing the job. Would try the lamb or specials menu next time. Not a lot on the island so they have no competition.

Delicious wine and cider, which I brought some to take away. Tasty cheese platter and the lamb taco was amazing

I wish I’d read the other reviews first. The one star goes to the incredible chefs (who quite frankly the estate doesn’t deserve).

In the middle of winter the wood fire wasn’t turned on and the space was about as cold as the service. The head of staff had no interest in recommending any kind of wine, even when asking what wine to pair the meal with. Don’t expect to be given a bottle of water for your table either, just get up and do that yourself.

We wanted to do a tasting after to select a bottle of red to take back to our hotel however the staff were too busy having a hug and a catch up with someone they recognized at a table as the line at the checkout grew. After being ignored for so long we just got up and paid for the table and left.

We would have spent even more over lunch if we were given the service to do so. Support somewhere else.and to the chefs, leave here and open up something to compete with them, you’ll win.

Great wine and Apple cider tasting experience. Staff very friendly and knowledgeable. Small area for tasting so if more than a couple of groups you may need to have a quick wait. 4 tastings of wine or ciders for $5, this is very reasonable I think. We stayed for another drink post tastings in the back restaurant area. We didn’t eat however food looked delicious.

Good spot for lunch, cosy inside. The grill wasn’t working when we booked for lunch so had a limited choice of food, but the ones available was still good. Can do wine tasting for $5 but wine options were limited when we were there so we didnt get to try

Delicious food, tasty wines and ciders and friendly staff. Well worth a stop for lunch when on Bruny Island

Visited this winery and did the wine tasting which was lovely. However couldn’t resist ordering the seafood chowder we could smell wafting from the kitchen. Hands down the best we’ve ever had. So fresh and delicious. Highly recommend you try this dish. Had a curry flare to it. Kudos to the chef Andy (secretly hoping he sends me the recipe)

Some people do not understand a boutique, family owned winery that only sources the best produce for their food and wine. This is the best place to eat and drink on bruny island, with a lot of family history. Considering all the exclusivity, only $5 for a tasting of hand made wines and some of the best, fresh food to die for, is more than reasonable, this is not a winery mass producing their products, you won’t find a $12 bottle of wine here, personally I would be worried if there was at a boutique winery like this. I’ve seen first hand how rude people can be to staff here whilst eating at this restaurant and visiting bruny, in a time when we are lucky to leave our homes. I’ve become a regular and to see the disrespect handed out at some points has been shocking. No one deserves a serve and this team especially does not considering the true nature of this beautiful place and what they are offering. Some of those reviews are so clearly lacking any understanding of where they are visiting. Nothing quite like bruny premium wines in Tassie.

Good service isn’t really hard but it’s so valuable to a customer. This place has zero customer service, from the rushed unfriendly welcome to the waitress snatching the menu from in front of us while we were deciding on drinks.

Could have looked past the average food but service. THE SERVICE! How hard is it.

Beer and wine was good, hence the 1 star.

I have never experienced such rude people in my 71 years, the owners are rude so the staff naturally think it is alright to be rude. Someone should open another winery in competition so they hopefully would have to be polite. I will not be back, but they wouldn't care anyway, that's obvious by their actions.

Avoid their wines: average taste at silly prices. A tourist trap. (Can't comment on their food.)

Pretty location, but the service left a lot to be desired. Walked in to a cold welcome and rushed service when they were "about to be busy". When we asked about cider tasting, we were told to go next door, which we did. No warm welcome, no explanation, just told it was $5 for a taster. We decided to buy a couple of bottles as tasting was included. After saying multiple times we wanted to do the tasting and being ignored, we eventually got a taste of cider, followed by "Did you want anything else? " We eventually walked out. Cold, poor service, and a general air of "Why are you here? " Would not return. Save yourself the time and head to Hotel Bruny for great food, great service and great cider.

Might have been end of day. Arrived at 3: 30 pm on a Friday. Staff weren’t particularly friendly - didn’t really go through the wine how it was made, type of style. Could do with smiling more. Wine is also very expensive and not really that nice for the price.

Lovely staff! Food was delicious. Loved the steak and the veggies that came along with it. The dessert was yummy. This place also offers wine tasting.

Good Friday dinner delivered to door. Wow guys did you deliver. LocalSalmon Charddonnay and herb cream sauce with veg to die for, heated for 5 min in air fryer. Not one to eat sweets saved for later very large main meal, but does look and smell amazing Chocolate Sticky date pudding with Toffee sauce. Thanks you are so appreciated on this beautiful island.

Went for dinner. Staff were friendly and food came fast. Was a rainy day and the meals were great and really warming. Definitely worth a visit if you are abouts.

Overpriced/ tourist rip-off. Quality may be good but prices appear to be based on what a tourist might be prepared to pay when no competition within cooee.eg. Side plate of sourdough bread, four thin slices, one pat of herbed butter, $10. Also wine tasting costs $5 per person, taken off the price of your wine if you buy a bottle - I didn't see anything under $45. Service was friendly. Sorry, not value for money!

Lovely venue and the food was delicious, unfortunately as we entered we were greeted quite rudely, we were having a look at the products and deciding if we were going to stay for a drink and some food and were waiting at the “please wait to be seated sign” and the man rudely said “Do you girls know what what you wanna do or are you just gonna stand in the doorway” we then said we were waiting for you to seat us. A little bit of customers service goes a long way especially at this difficult time (conronvirus) and small businesses rely on locals supporting them. However, Maude I believe her name was, was lovely and friendly and took our orders, made sure we were fine at the table and checked how the meals were. So credit to her.

What was offered versus what we paid was disproportionate. Started with a mix of 12 Oysters which were outstanding - hard to screw up when considering the quality of the product. My beloved had the salmon - over cooked, small potion and salad was limp lacking flavour. I had the lamb lion which was approximately 180-200g with 80-100g of that being pure fat - I understand the that’s the style of cut, but at $AUD36 for lunch - I had a higher expectation. We watched the burgers coming out to other tables with envy - our 5yo had the junior burger which was presented and tasted far better that the mains! Service was efficient and acceptable. Definitely not a $155 lunch for 2 plus child even when considering the remote location

Nice wines, in particular the award winning pinot noir rosé.

The stand out, for mains, was the lamb loin. To die for!

Other mains were good but the roasted potatoes outshone anything else on the plate.
