Bruny Island Premium Wines reviews
70They produce some quality wines. $10 for 5 tastes which becomes free if you make sufficient purchase. Bruny Island Cider is my favourite though, especially the 'Blapple'
Horrible customer service, waited 4 mins to be served, even thought wait staff at the bar could see us refused to acknowledge. Not busy at the time of visit.
A must-try. Ordered taco, fish of the day and soup. All taste perfect! Nice service and environment
Highly recommend for this restaurant. The lamb, the beef, the fish and the chicken are very good!
This will be one of my favorite restaurant in Tasmania.
Great service, fabulous food and I haven't drunk cider for many years! Tried the ginger and apple cider and it was delicious so I bought 4 bottles! Shame you don't sell them on the mainland (Tasmania)
Do yourself a favour and go for lunch
Fantastic experience and would definitely return. The food was amazing. But the icing on the cake was our hilarious waitress Jayne. Most certainly an asset to the place, with her impeccable knowledge of the area and sense of humour.
Bruny Island Premium Wines offers an amazing experience with excellent service, delicious food, and a fantastic ambience. I highly recommend stopping here for lunch.
Food was great, beer was great, service was excellent! Best food so far! You’ll be missing a good thing if you didn’t drop by!
We had a lovely lunch my partner and I.
The service by Jayne was friendly, warm, open and welcoming.
I was queasy from the drive and she got me some of their exceptional just so tasty ginger and apple cider straight away.
For our courses we had the bread dish and my partner had and loved the seafood chowder big healthy portion with toast and i had the gorgeous crispy pork belly with seaweed and wakame and scallops loved it all worked so well.
The ciders went very well with both dishes.
The food took a little while but it was worth the wait and we had nice service and chats with the staff.
The atmosphere is casual but more high end pricing.
We bought some of the cider to take with us.
Easy to find and easy parking.
Highly recommend.
The worst place on Bruny. The owner explodes their staff, and take advantage of backpackers. If you live tips there, on the big jar at the front, just to let you know, That’s for the owner only. She never give it to the staff. So if you live tips just give it to the staff personally. Only the food is good. And smells like tabaco always. I saw personal smoking behind the door inside the place. Just so bad, and I couldn’t finish your wine, it didn’t tasted really good.
Been here a few times. The food is amazing, I've had the veggie tacos many times and recently tried the buttered prawns. I don't drink wine but the cider was wonderful
Absolutely brilliant service & amazing food. The wine tasting was so great & the food was faultless! Highly recommend, especially for the price!
If it wasn’t the extremely bad service, it was barely a sip of wine for a paid tasting.
Compared to other vineyards, why is this one even still in business. I am baffled by the poor service.
If I could I would ask for a full refund. I’m still not sure what I paid for.
The Southernmost vineyard in Australia needed to be on our road trip itinerary in Tasmania. We had our dog with us and there was no outside seating, so my wife and I could not enjoy the wine tasking together. The tasting was OK, the wine as well, although a bit overpriced because of the location. Unfortunately, I discovered that the staff packed the wrong red when we arrived back in Sydney.
The service was friendly and professional, every single bite of the food was tasty and unique, and the wines/ciders were the cherry on a tasty cake! Thank you for having us
Bruny Island was VERY busy today with many locals and tourists. We hadn't made a reservation here, and were told there would be a table available in 90 minutes. Our own fault for not booking, really. However, as we were leaving disappointed, we were called back and fitted in for a quick lunch. We shared the Baked Brie, and the Island Tasting Platter. The presentation was impressive, both serves generous, and the food was top-class. We left super-impressed.
Surprisingly delicious wine, the Pinot noir and unwooded Sauvignon Blanc were my pick, we then had lunch to pair them with them local oysters, the result was delicious!
Dropped in for lunch for 4 people around 1pm. Staff scowled and rolled their eyes at us when we said we did not have a booking. They found us a table but we left when we saw the prices. If you wanna charge $50 for a salmon fillet then fine, but don't treat your customers like garbage when they arrive. If you're not taking walk-ins then better to just say so. Thanks.
Came here for post lunch wine and cider tasting. $5 for 4 tastes, per person. Was a lovely experience and staff were very friendly and knowledgeable about the wine.
What an experience! Our day trip to Bruny Island has a lot to do with visiting here. We arrived to barely a greeting and instead got a 'you right there' and then a 'did you want something'. We wanted lunch and requested a table but felt immediately cast aside like we didn't belong. We waited for service and got ignored for a bit and decided enough was enough. Elected to skip lunch and maybe grab wines and ciders. You'd think that would be smoother dead wrong. For a period of 15 minutes I watched as people who arrive after me be served. And there was one difference between myself and other patrons.
