Blue Eye Seafood Restaurant

We went for the half price oysters and stayed for dinner. Staff were fantastic, food excellent and the ambience great. Highly recommend.

This is the great seafood restaurant in Hobart. It was recommended by one of my local friends and we were so happy to find them. We visited twice during our visit to Hobart. Great location near Salamanca and good atmosphere for family. Staffs are friendly especially Tesma who helped us to choose food and drinks etc. The oysters are fresh and tasty. We had grilled octopus, seared scallops, calamari and spaghetti - all are Great. Recommended for all seafood lover. Oh -they have happy hours for oysters between 3-5pm.

There was 3 of us for lunch on a Tuesday the service was very good I had fish chowder and crumbed blue eye with salad and chips out of 10 I would give it an 8 when we finished our meal the head chef came out too introduced himself as the 3 of us where chefs before and now retired

Great place for lunch reasonable prices and excellent seafood. Our regular lunch spot. This Ling curry was spectacular

The seafood was was very fresh but majority tasted plain.
Our sashimi was room temperature, maybe that’s normal here in Tasmania?
Not the best service, as the manager allowed and served another person before me even though I waited first and told her.

Went for my partner's birthday. I ordered the mixed grill, was smaller than I had expected for the price, potatoes were obviously reheated from previous day. Partner had the octopus, greek salad was also over a day old. Would go back though for the bloody mary's and oysters, they were quite good.

What a lovely dinner on Saturday night. Food was fabulous and the waitress was a lovely lady. We celebrated our 40th wedding anniversary. Made us feel very special. Will be back when we travel back to Hobart. Thankyou

Absolutely DELICIOUS food. The Char Grilled Blue Eye was AWESOME. Perfectly sized portions for our lunch. Jed was an awesome waiter and very informative about the menu…. Well done and we will be back

Venue was nice, food was fresh, service was fine! Just nothing really wowed us.

Have been twice now for lunch. Both times have ordered the grilled blue eye and it had been absolutely delicious. It is very reasonably priced at $22. Service has been very good.

Stumbled onto this place walking today. Great service, very dog friendly and the food was fantastic. We had the Seafood Linguine and Tiger Prawn Caesar Salad.

So disappointing…overpriced, over hyped fish and chips, the food lacked flavours, innovation and attention, the staff is lovely, wine list really good, but the chef…. Oh dear…. No passion for cooking

Delicious seafood, excellent portion sizes and huuuge cocktails. Loved our experience here and I'm glad we splashed out to try multiple entrees and mains

In their defence, and without us asking, they didn't charge us anything for our dinner and 2 glasses of wine.
Not sure if we will ever go back.

WOW - the food was beautiful (the actual blue eye was delicious!), great wine list but the service was literally unbelievable… So friendly, efficient, thoughtful… the staff delivered an exceptional experience for our large group. We will definitely be back and I could not recommend this restaurant more highly. A wonderful find in Hobart!

Great food! Always fresh and yummy. Great choice of drinks and a view of the water front that looks spectacular!
