Bicheno by the Bay

Help I can’t pick a bed!
My parents booked a family apartment I guess and I’m an only child and the room I have to sleep In has 3 beds! And I can’t decide which bed to sleep in and they’re all bloody single beds and being a teenager my feet are just barely on a single bed, there are a few things about the room I’d like to note however,
There was a mat next to the stove/oven that when I moved it there was a circular mark on the ground (possibly caused by someone dropping a hot pan and melting a part of the flooring also the walls inbetween rooms are quite thin as I could hear my mum snoring I’d also like to point out that the cupboard in the living area would only close properly if closed extremely lightly, I also do not like the fact the wardrobes do not have doors, the toilet paper holder had no way to stop the toilet paper from rolling off however it did make for convenient roll swaps. In the room I’m staying in there’s chips in the paint and In the living area one of the paintings was slightly agar. This review was extremely nit picky overall pretty good though

Love this place. We have been here numerous times over the years. Clean, private chalets. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Great views, walking distance to absolutely everything. Listening to the penguins each night/early morning is a unique experience.

My husband and myself stayed two nights in February. I have stayed two times before. Lovely place to stay. Cabins are clean and spacious. Have everything you need. So close to everything in Bicheno. Definitely be back again.

Convenient location, was clean, and room had been renovated.

Pool and tennis courts a bonus.

Thought it was overpriced albeit we could only get a family room as a couple.

Worth walking up the rock nextdoor for a good view.

Can see fairy penguins at the street light on the south end of the property (don't need a torch for these as they go through the lit area)

Great location, bungalows are perfect size for a couple, clean and have everything you need. Will be back!

We absolutely loved it and will definately be going again. We had Sea views and the bed was really comfortable. Staff were very friendly

Brilliant three nights recently for a party of four families, including ten kids (6-12). Barely left the grounds - heaps for the kids to do. We'll be back!

We booked x2 nights accommodation for 8 adults. The Mimosa unit only had a 3 seat couch, not accommodating for the group to relax. The fridge door was broken in parts (sharp - potential to cut yourself), couldn’t stand milk up, crisper broken & another shelf taped together. Unable to watch TV because of its fixed position. Kitchen sink very low, not back friendly. Disappointing. We also had to wash all the plates and bowls when we arrived, dirty: - (

Great little place to stay. We have a view over water and the accommodation is clean, comfortable and a fantastic location. Will definitely come back. Great for families and couples alike.

Bicheno is a very warm little town. By the bay is central to everything and their rooms are awesome! Clean and comfortable.

Absolutely loved staying at this resort, the house was beautifully nestled amongst the natural bush with picturesque views of the ocean. Fantastic place to stay and relax after driving around Tasmania. Highly recommend it especially to people with young children. The staff friendly and helpful.

Stayed in radiata - modernly appointed room with lovely sea views. Efficient check in process. Room very clean

Great location. Walking distance to the beach and town. Enjoyed the facilities available on-site. Bungalows offer all you need for a comfortable stay.

The stay was very comfortable. Accomodating quality was good. The cleanliness was great and location was OK. I loved the launder facility and Tennis court. But I think the ovens need improving.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay. So peaceful and the cabins are glorious. Can't wait to visit again.

We lived in a cabin for one night. There was no kitchenette so we can’t cook. If we visit Bicheno again, I would like to stay here again, but we will bring our own cooking stuff.

Expensive for dated, basic accommodation. Very tired and not particularly clean. We stayed in the cabin at the top of the hill with a horid driveway. Won't be back.

The blowhole is a unique place to visit, though you need to time is with the high tide. If you got patience, then it can reward you with great photos.
