Best food going around 10/10 to the kitchen staff & awsome bar staff great service by all in this pub and a beautiful view of the ocean

Very good place to eat and very popular, best to book every night of the week. Good food and big helpings, reasonable prices too!

Lovely place to stay. Staff really helpful. Room clean and newly redone bathroom, all at a good value price. Our room included continental breakfast.

Perfectly located opposite the beach, with comfortable rooms, friendly, helpful staff. The restaurant conveniently located downstairs, serves the best Sunday roast dinner special I can recall having for many years!

Well I am in a quandary about this one. The room was nice and had been newly decorated, it also had a balcony that you could look out to the ocean. Bed was comfortable. The beach was across the road with easy access and made a nice afternoon walk.
The room did not have air-conditioning and copped the full force of the afternoon sun. As a result the room was very hot and windows could only be opened a small amount. Leaving the balcony door open wasn't an option in the evening as a streetlight was directly in front of it attracting millions of bugs, it also kept the room fully illuminated at night, with all the blinds down.
Personally I did not enjoy the food, I thought a burger would be simple enough (I asked for it to be well done) the burger was incinerated on the outside and partially raw on the inside.
We also had a number of people who continued their party under our windows and balcony after the bar closed. This continued until about 12: 30 am. Also keeping the windows open allowed us to hear foot traffic and chatter of people going to and from the beach and the parking area in front of the hotel. There is also a dockyard for container ships 300m away.
Would I stay again? Probably not, however the room itself was quite good, just too hot and noisy which could perhaps be improved with air-conditioning. The staff were all very friendly and polite we only had to ask. Not the worst by any means, Just not what we were after.

Great quiet atmosphere. Friendly staff. Had a great time and won a nice little number on the pokies! And hot chocolate served in the bar was delicious. Will be back sometime soon

Friendly staff & food quality well above what is expected at Hotel prices. Very clean with well placed seating that is not crowded & Sunday Roast just like mum made.

I have come here 2 times for food.
The first meal I had was amazing. These are by far the best oyster I have ever had So fresh,
For a main I had the whiting, it’s just a fancy fish and chips, the crumbing was supper crunchy but was a little bland in flavour,

Second night I ended up ordering 12 oysters because the night before they where just amazing.
For a the main I had the curry barramundi, the flavour was amazing the only downfall was in the middle of my finish was jelly, raw was not pleasant. However the parts that was cooked where amazing.

Staff are friend polite and very welcoming. I spent a few hours in the gaming room. That was pretty shocking. But after all it is gambling. But when you see people getting features all around you but there only getting $20 dollars. The max I saw was $100 being won. I have played a lot and it was pretty bad. However I will be back for drinks, dinner, and some games of pool. But I’ll avoid that gaming room

Was last there 12 or so months ago and the food was terrible. Guess what it's gone even more backwards. Sorry guys food had no taste. 1 cherry tomato in a measly tiny bowl of mushed salad does not quite cut it. We will not be back.

Always a good solid meal, friendly staff and good service. Even better that they look out for their patrons - took the details of a vehicle that hit my car and drove off! Thanks guys.

Came in. Waited for 15 mins for someone to acknowledge us. Place was almost empty. We sat down at the table which did not have a reserve sign on. A waitress charged at us 20 mins after we came in to tell us the table was reserved and very rudely, almost screaming. Quite humiliating the way she treated us. Did not offer another table. Just told us to get out! Well, definitely not coming back. After she saw I stared getting upset, she did not offer apology and just ignored me!
Worst customer service! Just ruined the whole night for us!

Chips were cold and when ordering 2 lots of salt and pepper squid 1 wasn't even half the size of the other was like the size of an entree but same price and over salted also have to pay for chips separately this place has become over priced for a pub meal

I ordered gummy shark & slaw. The fish was dry and the batter was not crisp. The chips were few and it was a tiny salad not slaw. Made me think it had been sitting in the bain marie for a while. I got a refund but will not be in a hurry to go back!

I was here on Mother's Day in a group of 9 people. 1.30 booking. It had obviously been very busy.
Our lunches came out piping hot,
Plentiful and all very tasty indeed. There was no lack of very prompt and friendly service with a smile. Well done Beach Hotel.

We went for a pre- dinner drink but, in the process, walked through a very busy bistro where food portions were huge and smelt really good. If we ever return to Burnie, we will definitely have dinner here.

Lovely place with great staff, room are huge and breakfast provisions extremely generous. The restaurant downstairs food is lovely, the serves are humongous.

The staff are great, the food was good for my guest. My meal was terrible. $35 for a steak, I asked it to be M/R but it came out well done i honestly think the so called chef should find a new career.

Great bistro with large meals and a fabulous ocean view. Bookings are essential but walk ins are catered for if they are not booked out. The chef's recommendations are slightly cheaper, with my pick being the summer King George Whiting. I selected the seasonal vegetables being roasted potato, pumpkin, whole baby carrots (sweet as), bok choy and brocolinni. Cooked to perfection. The hotel rooms have been recently renovated with a new modern ensuite, although I would not consider it to be 4 star accommodation. Very small rooms with 2 flight of stairs, no lift access. The cost being $150 per night with no discounts for multiple night stays.

We were a ‘Walk-in’ for dinner on Valentines Day. Jenna was awesome. Found us a table even though they were super busy and had been all day. She was such fun. Great staff.
