Bay Hotel Apartments (Formerly Woolmers Apartments)

A convenient hotel that we would use again. Very good for 3 Star.

The Good:

15 min walk to the entertainment area of Hobart

The Meh:
Only get room service over longer stays (though you can go get fresh towels yourself if desired)
Limited Cutlery. We had multiple rooms so it was a pain to BYO between rooms.
The finish in the bathroom.

The Bad:
The rooms generally only have double beds, which means they are not as good for taller people wanting to lie straight.
The bathroom heater is on a timer switch.

The Ugly:
Nothing

Great location, cozy rooms - a little run down, however we do appreciate they are also undergoing some rebranding too! Helpful staff. Complimentary washing powder was lovely, $4 to wash and dry (dryer didn't completely dry clothes in one cycle, depends on what you're drying). Fantastic location - walking distance to the Salamenca Markets!

Incredibly nice staff, accommodation as pictured. It was a nice, warm place to begin my travels. There is enough in the area to get by and the city is only an easy 20 min walk.

The best hotel service I've ever received! Very helpful and friendly. They also let me check in super early and tried very hard to have my room ready for me. The apartment had everything I needed and the bed was super comfortable and cosy.

Good value for money. Nice and clean with kitchen amenities but there are so many restaurant/cafe choices close by in Sandy Bay Battery, Point and Salamanca we didn't actually utilise them. Nicole on reception was very pleasant and helpful. It is walking distance (about 15 mins) to the wharves and Salamanca Markets. A bit of a steep hill on the way back but we are in our 60's and easily handled it.

Nice clean rooms. Ladies in reception are just so helpful, its a pleasant surprise.
Close to many restaurants and shops, makes this a great place to stay.
Short drive or walk to the Hobart waterfront.
You can ask for ground floor apartment if necessary

Great place to stay when arriving/leaving with the ferry from/to Melbourne in the evening/morning. 5mins from the boarding point, clean nice room and good beds.

Great value, has everything you need for a short or long stay. Staff were very accommodating and the location is unbeatable, close (walking distance) to everything!

I always stay in Bay Hotel Apartments when in Hobart. The rooms are clean, comfortable and convenient. The best thing about the place is the staff who have always been so unbelievably helpful and kind to me.

Extremely poor management. Beware before you share your credit card details with them. They don't let you know that if you are locked out of your room by mistake they will deduct $60 without your consent.very disappointed to learn that they came up with all sorts of lies and excuses to convince their rights to take your money.

We were unable to use our chromcast this place needs to update their tvs to smart tvs or so you are able to watch netflix.in this day and age very backward.

Very clean apartment. Has all kitchen utensils to cook while we stayed. Close to many restaurants and helpful staff.

Stayed here overnight in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was so hot in the bedrooms with no aircon upstairs struggled to sleep. The couch was so uncomfortable and only had room for two people when 4 were staying. The apartment smelt musty and we really didn’t enjoy our stay.

Very cute outside and the rooms are actually quite modern. Clean and tidy. Prices are good. Easy parking and access to WiFi.

Great place to stay and we could walk to Salamanca and town. Our room was ready early and it was very tidy and clean - also it was refreshed every day and coffee, tea etc.restocked. Excellent to be able to cook some meals and supermarkets were close. Short walk to some restaurants and bottle shops. Receptionist was extremely helpful regarding places to go. We would stay there again.

Worth noting that not all rooms have air-conditioning. Overall good for off street parking and self catering

It was clean and it was convenient for me to get to where I wanted to go by walking and I could catch public transport near these apartments easily.

Friendly staffs （under new management）the bed room is tidy and clean。But the disvantage is need to bring the luagge through the stairs to 2nd level

Convenient location, friendly staff, clean units, lovely setting/ gardens that are well maintained. Would definitely stay again. Great price for value. Easy to find on the road too when you go out and return.
