Banjo's Bakery Cafe reviews
67 Good for a chain bakery café.
Coffee not bad and the hot food, while a bit overly oily, quite tasty.
Being in the city and having various baked goods, I made it a point to visit this place on the last day of our trip. Good service, plenty of options for seating.
Decent coffee, varieties of food, we tried danish, veg roll, croissant, chocolate glazed donut and hash brown. Well prepared and delicious to eat. They are reasonably priced and have a lot of stores around Tassie, which makes it a good stop during the day.
Used to love this place. But repetitive orders cancelled through uber and door dash. As well as missed items each time. Shame
Tested the food in a lab turns out the meat in the party pies is actually dog meat and they buy it from the asian food market
Friendly staff, drinks are okay, blueberry house cake thing was nice. Downside, the store is so dirty. Pastry flakes everywhere on the floor and on a lot of tables, rubbish under tables.just a bit dirty. Otherwise, it’s a relaxing ambience.
Amazing service from a lovely young lady with pink hair. Good and friendly service is rare nowadays so she is an asset to Banjos Hobart.
A little expensive for what it is. The small pie was nice just no where near enough filling. The seeded roll was ok, the shop was filthy needs clean it looks like people are going back to old
Ways since covid has been around for a few years
Best pie I've ever had! The pizza pie is must try, my hubby had a scallop pie and also very impressed.
Great variety of food, not sure I can say how friendly the staff are, I went at 1pm on a weekday, it was probably the busy hour, but I would expect more friendly and respectful customer service. The lady at the counter did not greet and serve in the most polite manner.
Cleaning is also not the best, large size coffee lids ran out at the counter, and the one left had coffee spilled on it, it was disgusting, image picking up a lid and have your hands covered with someone else's coffee.
Connecting to the Cafe's WIFI was also a bewildering and very complicated process, you have to download a software to your laptop which didn't end up opening: (I was hoping to do some exam revision there.
This isn’t the best bakery and there are some lovely local ones which nicer bites to eat locally. I wanted to grab something and sit down but it was not quite the cafe experience I was expecting
Good not great. Opening hours are much better than other places. Staff are helpful. Baked bread and pastries are good. Sandwiches are not stored well though, so pretty sad and dried out by the afternoon.
Wow, the best bakery ever, second day in a row, food and service beyond good.
Told it was good food, but blowen away with the quality.
Beautiful little cafe/bakery. Food was delicious and plenty of choice. Staff were friendly and very accommodating. Brock had the most exceptional customer service. A rare find these days.
All FOH staff are absolutely lovely and make coming to this store every morning such a great experience. All the staff know me and I know them on a first name basis after only a few weeks of coming here. Shoutout to Liv, Ryan, Amber, Zac, Tania and all the other lovely girls there ️
Terrible coffee and very average service.forgot items we had ordered with no apologies and I left the coffee undrunk.
Large range of Pastries, and Tasty Oat Milk Chai Latte.
Fast & Friendly, Service
Loved the little vegetarian tarts for a little snack. Well made with fresh ingredients. Stopped by just about every day while I was on holidays in Hobart.
A wonderful array of tasty bakery treats, sandwiches and pies combined with your staples including bread rolls and loaves, Banjo's Bakery has everything you need.
Maybe not surprisingly (for us mainlanders), bakery items in Tasmania taste so much better. Almost worth a trip to Hobart just for a pie)
Tried their curry scallop pie. Light curry flavour and plenty of scallops that weren't over cooked. Decent pie for the price you pay. Doughnuts are a bit too bready and dry for my liking. Will stick to the pies next time.
