1830 Restaurant and Bar, Port Arthur reviews
48The food and service were excellent but the evening was slightly spoilt by a very noisy group, not entirely their fault as the acoustics in the restaurants are not good. The view over the historic site is superb.
Beautiful view overlooking the historic sight.
The BEST ravioli i have ever had in my life. Hats off to the chef the food is amazing.
Thoroughly enjoyed my day spent on the historic grounds aswell. Staff are fantastic.
Take away one star for the wait of the food. Everything else is perfect. Food are so good, nice view and environment, staff are friendly.
Below par when it came to variety and price. Glad parking was free. The quality of the food was about average.
We were excited to have dinner here.the surroundings are fabulous and the restaurant is lovely.but that's where any good comments end. I had crumbled chicken which was lovely but had a vile redcabbage accompaniment or should I say mayonnaise with redcabbage. Awful. I ordered a lemon tart.good Lord, the crust was so hard I couldn't cut it and the filling was flavorless and so runny. For what we paid it was very poorly presented and def not a pleasant experience.
Excellent meal after cold and rainy afternoon. Novel combination of flavours. The ravioli are exceptional!
A fine dining with a difference inside Port Arthur Historical site. It has a magnificent view overlooking the foreshore, and the ruins of the old jail buildings. Staff were attentive and friendly. Modern design and decor with a relaxing ambience. Food were amazing to the taste, it dances into your palate, food presentation on the plate was well executed.
Really enjoyable meal, but a bit frustrating when the restaurant was quite empty, with two waiters on the floor - yet had empty plates on our table for 20minutes, and then waited a further 15min to get dessert menus. Completely understandable if it was busy, but it was slow enough to become a frustration.
Otherwise good food and good location.
