Zambrero Semaphore

This is a regular catch up spot with my friends.

Location is clean. Salads are always fresh. Meat mixes are piping hot. The philanthropic aspect behind Zambrero makes me feel great every time I visit. Every time you buy a burrito, a meal is donated to somebody less fortunate. Can’t say many places would do that!

The Beef Power-bowl is my favourite and my friends always get their usual large burritos.
Guac and Chips are yummy too.

Will continue to come back time and time again due to the short wait times and the great food, plus friendly staff

Always enjoy eating here, food is always fresh and the staff are always friendly and quick. Looking forward to my next visit! The pulled pork is amazing! I do feel some extra jalapenos would be nice though.

The food was cold to start. It was 6: 30 and they were basically cleaning the cabinets so all the cooked items were not on warmers. In peak dinner and holidays this seems the worst possible time to do this and a health risk. I then said I would like to order 5 burritos. The assistant then proceeded to make the first one in entirity, this was going to be a long night. Every other Zambrero makes 5 at once down the line if you say you are ordering 5. Fortunately a more experienced staff took over and made the remaining 4 however she stuffed up and had to waste a couple because she put the wrong items on. The burrito size was also inconsistent. 3 regular size were different and the IQ were no bigger even though they say they have more ingredients. Zembrero again? Yes. This one, probably not.

I love Mexican food but I like it to my own bland tastes. And I like it vegetarian for the simple fact my taste buds severely dislike the taste of meat. But Zambrero's cater to all!
A wide range of not spicy to very spicy and substitution of cauliflower or beans in replacement of meat. I feel the menu is a bit awkward as half the menu is at the pay counter so it feels as if you are cutting the line to view the menu.
I feel they are a bit stingy with the servings of Guac and Sourcream, especially when you opt to not have salsa. I chose to not have salsa as it's more just small chunks of tomato, so no thanks. The pricing is pretty average but the standard expected of a fast food restaurant.
The staff are very friendly. They're a great place to pop by when you've got a real hankering for some nachos, tacos or a burrito

These people filled up my chicken burrito so much it was about half the size of my head. Definitely a good place if you want some fast food, and it's filling so you won't be leave feeling unsatisfied.

Very poor customer service and no understanding of the menu. I asked for a power bowl and instead of 1.5 scoops of beef, I got one scoop of mostly water. Instead of extra fillings, I only got about half the bowl of fillings. I won't be returning.

I have eaten from here a couple of times and the flavours were just not up to scratch. Zambreros in the cbd are much better.

Absolutely dreadful. Sent wrong food (of much less value) and was stone cold, wouldn't feed 1 person let alone 2. Wouldn't answer their phone!

Our burritos and nachos were great. Table was dirty but staff cleaned up when I asked. Overall we had good experience.

One of the few places open so was busy. Friendly staff, clean, tasty food. Only a short wait considering the number of walk in and phone/online orders.

I've eaten here a few times with sometimes 5 star service sometimes 1 star, the food is 4 stars, 5 star taste 3 star amount for $15

The place is good. However at times, they’ve messed up a bit in orders at busy times. That’s a bit concern, otherwise, it’s a good place to go for some Mexican food.

Best staff I have ever encounted, very good with general chit chat, if I was a local I would visit regularly.

25% chance to have your burrito just thrown together without any care in the world.

One time I came here and they were using tortillas that were stuck together, dry and torn at least in one spot, resulting in a burrito with a huge gaping hole in the side, oh that sure was fun to eat. NOT

I wish there was an option for minus rating, bad customer service, worst staff and cheating in quantity of ingredients, not at all professional, burritos were ripped apart and they didn’t care.

It was a warm Sunday evening and I was craving a burrito. I knew there would be a line so I patiently waited. The staff apologised for the wait which I appreciated. This Zambys actually fill the burrito and do not under serve. This was the best Zambys I have had in SA. Good stuff guys I will see u again soon

I went there Monday just gone and we ordered a rice chicken rice bowl. The chicken looked nothing like the chicken on the posters advertising them. It’s soggy and a weird colour. The rice was gluggy, starchy and resembled mashed rice more than anything. When I questioned it to the lady serving she agreed it didn’t look right. For the price you pay for the food it’s really not up to the quality. Very disappointing

Great food but horrible service. The blonde girl that served me tonight (around 7: 30pm) was incredibly unattentive - kept staring out the windows and wispering to her friend. Also didn't bother asking me specific ingredients I wanted on each burrito. Also labelled the chicken burrito as "vegetarian". Also was about to charge me for 2 chicken burritos when only one of them was chicken.

Today we ordered 2 burritos to be delivered by Uber Eats and unfortunately both burritos were dry and tasteless. We paid $42 to not have what we ordered - not enough of chipotle and garlic sauce nor could we taste the salsa, sour cream and guacamole. Very disappointed to have wasted our money on a meal which had no flavour!
Unfortunately for them we won’t be returning.
