Yuki in the Hills reviews
58Fantastic authentic Japanese food. Gluten Free GF options very clearly labelled on menu and many to choose from. Good for takeaway or dine in. A bit cosy if you want to bring the kids inside, I would take the food home with more than 2 kids with you.
A true gem in the hills, Me and my partner came here for a triple date with our friends and had an amazing night. Yuki has a welcoming warm atmosphere with great service. The food is well worth it for what you pay. Traditional, cooked perfectly and delicious food would highly recommend if you're in for something different.
Great range of Japanese food. The karrage chicken and ramen were both drlicious. Helpful staff, with some preparation of food completed in front of you. Liked the atmosphere and artwork too.
So I finally made my way to Yuki in the Hills to try their chicken ramen as it is not as common as pork ramen. Tasted the pork ramen and the broth was really good but the chicken ramen felt a bit flat even though it tasted okay. It needed a bit more if the Japanese flavours to make it more of a chicken ramen than chicken soup noodles. I did like that used bamboos in the ramen as really love it. The ramen though did not include a soft boiled egg which was a bit disappointing. Their chicken karaage, chicken katsu and pork gyozas were good as well. They do carry Japanese beers and sake so it is really good.
Ordered the Spider and salmon rolls in addition to a bowl of tenzaru soba. The rolls were amazing as they were tasty and fresh. Also, you can actually feel every single grain of rice in the roll which indicates the mastery of the sushi maker. One of the best sushi roll I've ever eaten in Australia. Highly recommended to sushi lovers.
I highly recommend this place! Food quality and customer service were the best in Adelaide. I can’t say anything, but just go there to grab some Japanese dishes plz!
I didn't even realise this place existed, but i wish I knew sooner! Great little spot, beautiful sashimi, totally a hidden gem.
I totally love this place and food. The customer service is nice and foods are so fresh and fancy. I have eaten so many Japanese food before, but i reckon this place is the best in my life. I would visit here next time.
Family Favourite.
I love the vibe here. Super chilled, the staff are friendly, kids are welcomed (each doing their best to master chopsticks hahaha) and the food is clean, fresh & delicious!
For those who haven't been may I suggest this culinary combination.
Course 1: Garlic Edamame paired with a cold pint of Asahi is a must have.
Course 2: Tempura Prawns & Tempura Vegetables are awsome.
Course 3: Dumplings, Dumplings and more Dumplings.
Course 4: Finally you can't go to Yuki without exploring their Sashimi platters.
But be sure to book, as this place always seems to be busy.
Sayonara,
I really enjoyed the food which was very authentic the environment is modern and a bit of a funky feel with the Japanese chefs working in the middle of the place. The house saki was good as was the G&T.the wait staff were friendly and knowledgeable. Nothing to not like really
Amazing food, great service, wonderful atmosphere. We had the lunch set and a rainbow roll to share and the flavours and textures were wonderfully balanced. Wish we were in the area longer so we could try more items from the menu.
Excellent, highly recommended. Beautiful food, superb, subtle tastes and great presentation. Nice atmosphere with Japanese chefs.seats are a little low but no real complaints!
In the past I have not enjoyed Japanese food, but in hindsight I realise it was more about the dishes chosen by those I was dining with,
I have been to Yuki twice now because the first time, a friend who knows my taste in food, chose for
me. It was SO fabulous that I went back with different friends and I am dining at Yuki again this week.
Every thing I’ve eaten has been delicious - gyoza, teriyaki fish, tempura prawns, tempura vegetables and katso chicken to name a few.
As well, the male waiter is especially friendly, attentive, pleasant and accommodating.
A gem of a place in the Adelaide Hills and well worth the visit!
Possibly the best Japanese food in Adelaide. Some of the freshest, tastiest Japanese food I have ever had. The menu is all so good it’s hard to choose from. The service is great and the staff are friendly.
The Teas are also worth a try. So tasty?
Great food with a huge selection to choose from.
Sapporo & Asahi on tap.
Sashimi was a delight to have as well.
Overall a great experience.
Deeeeeelicious! The garlic edamame are insanely good. The pork gyoza and yaki soba was also stellar. And with lovely service. Thank you!
Great food and service, thoroughly enjoyed our experience here. The food most definitely fresh and delivered promptly, exactly what we were after. Beautiful setting in the hills, combined with authentic food. We will be sure to return again soon. Thanks for having us.
Very busy on a Wed night shows how popular Yuki is. Down side is a bit of a wait before you receive beautiful fresh food. Prices are not inhibiting. YOU HAVE TO BOOK.
