Disappointed drove over an hour to check out the Big Specials advertised on tv virtually saw none! Great staff but bad advertising!

Not one staff member acknowledged us. Two staff just inside doorway busy chatting to ea other. Noone upstairs when needed. Won't go there again

All good up until delivery advice said 3 weeks after they had received it. Ordered 11th Nov. 2019 delivery 27th Feb for local manufacture that is appalling. When I complained they couldn't care less.
Unfortunately we have another recliner on order with them late November advised delivery could be in April sometime. We shall see. Based on performance I am being generous with 2 stars.
There would not want to be a thing out of place on delivery!

My wife and I are looking at getting a good quality lounge room recliner chair.
We had already visited 4 other furniture shops before entering Wohlers furnishings, within 5-10minutes of perusing the recliners in store we were assisted by a lovely lady name Virginia Burgess.
We already had an idea of what we wanted then as she helped with some specific features i hadnt thought of, choice of correct size, fabric etc was extremely valuable to us. The experience was relaxed and personal.
Virginia supplied me a comprehensive & honest action plan for recliner.
With writing this to you my experience gave me peace of mind with quality & after sales service.
This is why i am going to return to purchase the recliner. Good service is unfortunately becoming rare & few between.

Lovely atmosphere and great selection of homewares/furniture/leather goods/gifts for the"man cave". Food good at cafe in store and staff very helpful and friendly. Well done Wohlers! Love your work

I went today for a high tea and the staff were so lovely, friendly and accommodating. They were really understanding and flexible over the fact about half the group were running late. High tea itself was delicious and there was more than enough. The endless cups of tea was a great touch. The atmosphere and set up in the cafe was just so pretty and relaxed. We felt really spoilt. It was a lovely way to spend a few hours with friends. I would come back anytime.

The sales lady Annette at the Richmond showroom was amazing with my parents purchase of a lounge and recliners yesterday, 6/2/19. Her patients and knowledge was wonderful. Would definitely recommend her to anyone wanting to visit the showroom.

We've visited a few times to pick up decorative items for around our home. Cudos to the people who curate the collection of items available for purchase, there are some really nice pieces, that aren't necessarily all that expensive.

Awesome service & experience. Fantastic high tea. Treat yourself! A really nice cafe. Fabulous homewares section with so many lovely choices for yourself & gifts. The furniture is 1st class. I guarantee you'll gi back!

Staff here are very helpful. The quality of their goods is generally high though much of the furniture is a little overpriced.

Be very aware before parting with any money with Wohlers that you are purchasing exactly what you want as you'll never see your money again after you hand it over. It's a company policy of Wohlers to never refund any monies paid, even if it's just a deposit. I don't know how they get away with this as I believe this is contrary to Australian trading practices. Anyhow, I make this comment through personal experience. I went to Wohlers in Richmond having seen James Wohler advertising his company on television (Yes, that is really James Wohler doing the add, they are that careful with money they don't even pay an actor to do their advertising) and to enquire about replacing my existing (old) individual leather chairs. A very polite and knowledgeable female sales person showed me a range of La z boy and IMG chairs and after quite a bit of deliberation I selected a pair of La z boy chairs to be supplied in dark blue leather, price $3,600 with a mandatory 25% deposit $900. A few days later, having paid the deposit, I was advised these chairs were not available in the dark blue I requested. I returned to Wohlers and spoke with the same sales person who was extremely apologetic, however, after having a good second look at other styles available I decided nothing was to my liking and I requested a refund of my deposit. I was advised this was against company policy and that I should consider alternative options. I was surprised with this response particularly as it was reconfirmed a number of times. Realising I was not going to get my money back without a fight and that I was looking for replacement chair/s I was persuaded to look at a three seater IMG recliner but it was $8,400 which was far more than I wanted to pay for an item like this so, again, I insisted on a refund of my initial deposit. It was at this point the polite sales person advised she would have to refer this to Management and it was not long after this I was introduced to James Wohler (Mr Wohler to staff members). James Wohler confirmed the no refund policy and effectively coerced me into buying the more expensive IMG product, albeit we had negotiated the price down to $6,200 and I was required to pay a further $900 deposit. I had not planned on spending this amount of money on a lounge replacement. Wohlers now had $1,800 of my money (good bye to this). Surprisingly my new lounge arrived at the shop on exactly the day promised although organising to have it delivered to my home was another challenge, very much "our way or the highway" The Manager of the polite sales person had a different character altogether, again female but very blunt, abrupt and obviously company trained as she was unable to provide anything that resembled customer service whatsoever. My conversation with her was in single syllables and I had to accept everything her way without any consideration to my requirements. It is obvious Wohlers have set their policies to benefit themselves with no real regard for customer service, it's non existent. For example, one idea of customer service that Wohlers offer is to provide a purchaser of an expensive item, which apparently I qualified, with vouchers for so called free items but in reality they turned out to be subliminal sales tactics because there is nothing of worth in Wohlers priced to match the low value vouchers supplied. Furthermore, I was advised I had been awarded "points" to use as discounts on future purchases, another sales gimmick to get me to part with more money, which will not happen, as these will go unused. My overall experience with Wohlers has not been a good one, I feel that I have been cheated and I will never set foot in a Wohlers store again, one experience is more than enough for me. And, as a finale, the IMG chairs I have bought are nowhere near as comfortable as the chairs they have replaced, I think I will be living this nightmare every time I sit down to relax.for the next 10 - 20 years. Yes, I will remember you Wohlers.
