What a fantastic place to visit. So many things to view and buy and if you get thirsty or hungry as well as need a coffee, it's all there. It's absolutely great.

Such a big store, large varieties of so many things, homewares, kitchenware, clothing, bags and gifts. Added bonus is a small cafe. Allow lots of time to check it all out.

I recently had the greatest customer service from Campbell.

I had spoken to him on the phone about bringing my 90 year old Mum in to buy a recliner chair, he said to ask for him when we arrived.

I took my Mum 2 days later and Campbell was amazing was very caring and considerate and went over and above to help Mum get the right chair for her comfort. 21/2 hours later Campbell got a chair that she was very happy with. HOORAY finally.

The worst retail business I’ve ever dealt with, we initially purchased 2 recliners, after having been told they were in Adelaide and were the last ones available, when we paid for them we were told they were on the ship and would be available in 6-8 weeks. No problems we were prepared to wear that. After a few weeks we had a change of plans and wanted to change our order, we were actually spending more money than the original order but we were slugged a $250 admin fee for the privilege. No problems, we wore that too. They told us our furniture would be delivered in 18-22 weeks, from Vietnam.our furniture arrived 33 weeks later and it was made in China! The staff and management had no sympathy each time we rang to inquire about an update on delivery date. Their response; “It’s unfortunate, there’s a pandemic and it’s out of our control “. Well, we know there’s a pandemic, and we were well in to the pandemic when they took our order and would’ve had some idea of the lengthy delays in delivery but didn’t advise us of this. Will never shop there again.

They have pieces of furniture that are timeless. I have purchased a bedroom suite in the past, and a leather lounge suite this time. Prices were good, compared with other stores, and it come with a 10 year warranty. The staff are friendly and very knowledgeable. Will be back for more.

My mother inlaw has purchased and paid for a single recliner back in Nov 2020 due mid March 2021 when checking on delivery today 15th March 2021 no one could confirm when her purchase will be ready or where it was. Very poor and unacceptable, I will be following up on his before taking further action not happy.

WOW for Wohlers! It's like a modern museum of contemporary furniture, furnishings & bric-a-brac. Something for everyone set out in a bright airy space. Highly recommended for a visit. And to finish, they make an excellent coffee in house. Well done

Wohlers have a wide range of gifts, home wears, furniture. You can even drop in for a bite to eat and have a drink.
I like shopping at Wohlers to get the special something for somebody special.
The staff are very friendly and helpful.

Friendly, helpful staff, purchased tv cabinet, coffee table and two lamp tables, which i haven't received yet, everything looks nice, only disappointed at delivery time, I was told by the sales woman that it will be 18- 20 weeks for delivery because all the furniture is made overseas i think she said in Java, don't know if I will shop here again, too long to wait

The staff is always so helpful. Nothing is too much for them.
Every single time I've been there, I have got a good bargain too. Also if you are a member, you get an automatic member's discount. They have some of the loveliest art and homewares there!

STAFF MANIPULATED MY ELDERLY PARENTS INTO A SUITE!

My elderly parents visited Wohlers to purchase a lounge suite. They were looking for and only interested in Australian made ONLY

They proceeded to pick a suite and ask the sales person if it was made in China. The sales person said no and left it at that

Upon receiving the suite it was discovered that it has in fact been manufactured in Thailand

Upon questioning the manager this he said the sales person said the truth and it was not made in China. He said she didn't need to elaborate where it was from because it was not precisely asked. He also took pride in training the staff

He did acknowledge that she possibly mistake on her behalf he also said my parents who are 76 and 82 (one who has English as a second language) should have been more precise with their questioning and it wasn't a salesperson responsibility to divulge information

He admitted that the sales person was a veteran sales person who was also trained by him. (Speaking to various sales people who advised that if asked if an item was from a certain country and if it wasn't they would automatically divulge where it was from. "It's common decency and common sense")

He also admitted that it was highly likely that the salesperson did not know where the product was from then proceeded to mention that parts of the suite were likely manufactured all over the world including China

Wohlers staff don't lie but are trained to with hold information based on the fact they may loose a sale

My parents who are struggling pensioners who saved up over a long period time spent a small fortune to purchase this suite (something they understood was made in Australia). Wohlers more specifically the manager would not help in compensating in any way shape or form. His only form of compensation were a packed of leather wipes (very similar to a packed of wet ones)

Whilst no law was broken the sales techniques used on a couple of pensioners is reprehensible and sneaky at best

Wohlers management is manipulative and they train their staff to be the same

Do not support this company any way shape or form!

Experience at Wohlers is always exceptional, especially today. Spent a lot of time choosing a lazy boy recliner for my 101 year old mother. The staff at Wohlers, Priyanka Manekar and also David Major were so helpful. Did everything to assist with a particular chair. Bought some smaller gifts and girls at counter were as usual lovely and once again helpful. Paid $500 deposit on a lazyboy recliner, went away very happy. But to my horror, phoned my mother to tell her about her new chair. Only to be told my son had gone and bought one and it had already been delivered. Phoned Priyanka straight away, and apologised profusely. And they have refunded my $500. Thank you Wohlers and so sorry for all trouble you went to. Kind regards Maxine Daly.

Very disappointed with the service received from Dianne at Mt Barker store.
My mother purchased a lift chair for my father who was going into a high care facility. Ordered on Wednesday and promised a "new" chair would be delivered to store on Friday ready for us to pick up and have in time for Dad to use. Mum was also offered a $250 travel voucher with the purchase, but Dianne said probably best not to use it now, and that they would remind her in 6 months time, and she had 12 months to use it. Not really the right time to be offering a travel voucher to an 82yo woman, when clearly travel is not an option and won't be for some time.
Upon arriving on Friday we were told that the "new" stock was not delivered as instructed and our only option was to either wait until the next Friday or take the floor stock. We had no choice and had to take the floor stock. Asking for further discount due to floor stock was rejected. We reluctantly accepted the floor stock.the leather care pack was also not available at time of pickup, so we need to return to get that at some stage too. (even though you seemed to have plenty of that available in stock, but we still have to wait for that to come from your warehouse too).
My father passed was rushed to hospital, passed away the following Saturday and we never even got to set up the chair for him, and wasn't even used. I rang the store to ask if they would be compassionate in this situation and accept a return and refund as the chair was no longer required.
Dianne said they don't accept returns, which I now realise that a return policy was not explained to us in anyway. Dianne said we could change it over for another item of Mum's choice. Well I'm sorry Dianne, my father has just passed away and you say Mum can come back and furniture shop for something else, or she can keep the chair for herself. Well Mum doesn't want any other items of furniture, she also doesn't want to keep the chair as a constant reminder that it was meant for her husband! She also doesn't need the chair, it was Dad that needed it! Dianne said she would double check with her manager, who also said NO, they wouldn't accept a return.
In all I think your customer service leaves a lot to be desired, Dianne certainly could have put a smile on her face when dealing with us, she really wasn't a very warming person at all. Considering the circumstances, and your error in not having the original order available when promised, and the fact we still need to return to pick up the leather care pack, we are stuck with a chair that we don't want. Dianne reminded us that it was 11 days past their return policy anyway, even though it was only 8,1 day past. Wow!
We certainly won't be shopping with you again, once bitten twice shy. It's customer service that attracts people back, but unfortunately not in this case.
Thank you for your unwelcoming, unhelpful, apathetic, heartless decision to wipe your hands of a customer who just spent over $2000 with you. At least your happy and got what you wanted.you got your sale, congratulations.
