Willunga Farmers Market reviews
65 We visited the markets on a bleak and rainy winters day, was great to get out of the city and see the local community in action.
The greatest part was the local conversation about the produce and knowing we were supporting local growers. Will definitely visit again! ️
Great market with fresh local produce. It's also good when the quarry market is on across the street. 2nd Saturday in the month.
Lovely place to visit on a Saturday morning. Had freshly shucked KI oysters that tasted amazing for around $20 and tasty brownies at $5. Good spot to chill.
Well worth a visit. A relatively compact market with probably the best atmosphere. Ratio of fresh food is low. Quality varies but generally good. Prices are an issue to the point it's more a boutique market than a farmer's market. Their membership system effectively taxes all non-members. Easy to find. Parking can be difficult at peak times. A lot of nice shops and often other markets nearby.
Found a stall selling alpaca meat. I'm going to try some. Willunga town is quaint, its history preserved well with old style shop signages and shop fronts
Fantastic range of local artisan and organic produce. Wine, cheese, baked goods, honey and more.
Across the road is fruit and veggies sold by the growers.
We were members at the Willunga Farmers Market which is definitely worthwhile as we purchased our fresh produce in bulk.
It is not expensive as I've heard some say.
Good quality food of all kinds.
Love the atmosphere also, with music each Saturday and the aroma of coffee and lots of hot foods to choose from.
Unfortunately due to Covid19 outdoor seating & eating isn't available but regardless of the perks now is the best time to support all our local farmers and sellers.
Beware when visiting the area, $45 to become a "member" or be hit with a "10% non member tax" on everything
Amazing place with mouth watering fresh fruits and green vegetables. Varieties of green leafy salads available. Tried dairy free, sugar free vegan icecream. That was super delicious n yummy. Highly recommended place!
I love the market, the fresh produce is amazing. Mostly organic but regardless everything is so fresh, strawberries that taste like the real deal, fresh organic apples, organic sweet corn and the list goes on. Highly recommend
Love heading to the markets on a Saturday morning. Great stalls, great variety, great atmosphere. Everything you could want at a market
A good selection of fresh fruit n veggies, some organically grown, many coffee options, & food a plenty, with good varied choices. The main street shops we're open, a lot of art & home made goods & many more eating options
I don't go very often, but when I do, it's always the same impression. It's good, certainly not brilliant, it's a small market, rather pricey, but very good quality which comes at a cost. My understanding of a market is that the prices would be competitive considering no middleman, but I didn't find that to be the case here. The market is well patronized, a good, cordial, atmosphere, regulars abound, a good catch-up with a coffee with friends before bidding adieu. Some time ago they blocked off the main street & had the stalls in the said street with easy access to the shops on either side of the sidewalk. It was brilliant, made the market appear more substantial & changed the ambience for the better. Don't know why they didn't maintain this concept, they reverted to the former way of it. In short, all very nice, pleasant way to spend a morning, parking okay, products & produce not cheap. I suggest one gives this market a try & find out for yourself, it is also suggested people come from far & wide to purchase these "gourmet" wares. Good, but not enough to entice me back on a regular basis. Cheers.
This is the place to shop for really fresh food and support local growers. Yes it costs a little more than your supermarket but the food is appreciably better and you know where your money is going. And after you can wander through Willunga and enjoy the town.
A wonderful farmer's market with beautiful fresh produce. The people are lovely and it is definitely worth the trip to experience it all. I cannot go past the lavender brownies and the friendly atmosphere.
Awesome market, we go very often. Only downside is a lot of the vendors don't have eftpos facilities
Such a treat to be able to get there on a Saturday morning when I usually work. Wonderful selection of fresh veggies, flowers, herbs, nuts and much more, simply glorious.
Can't wait to visit again.
Decent number of stalls with good selection of local produces ranging from fruit and vegetables, meat/fish and dairy products, bread, plants, There's also very nice coffee and food options, and occasional live music.
Thought it was a farmer market ooops nothing but over priced not local produce just as same as the Coles or eoolworths or aldi
Good produce and ambience. Family orientated and has the lot. Fresh fruits, vegetables, meats, poultry, dairy and anything food related.
Worth a visit with an empty bag! Full on exit for sure.
