Second time here, second time they've "forgotten" my meals. Won't be a third.

Great little spot right next to the shopping centre and amenities. Nice rooms for a fair price. I liked Whyalla, it's definitely somewhere I will be revisiting.

Staff made customers (we are Asian if thats any relevant to this- i hope its not) feel like we didn't have the money to pay for our meals plus a few drinks when we asked if we could put on tab and pay at the end of the night?
Staff constantly asked direct questions: what room number? Under what name? And said "make sure you pay or they will be charged to your room. ". Make sure you pay - isn't there a better way to deliver this message. Staff could be friendlier if they want better review

Went in here for a lunch feed, the Prawns are huge. Highly recommend. Plenty of seating, looks great and service is too.

Terrible rubbery Calamari on Monday night.
Couldn't eat it.
Rooms & staff were great.

Extremely busy but staff were efficient, friendly and polite. Meals came out in good time despite how busy it was. Delicious food. No complaints about quality or quantity. We'll be back

2 Deluxe Queen Rooms were filthy and furniture was extremely old and daggy.
Carpets had several stains, was ripped and a nail poking out in 1 of the rooms.
Both rooms had not been cleaned properly in a long time, all light switches and door/cupboard handles were black with filth and no one felt safe to use the shower without wearing thongs.
The bed was horrible, had to sleep in the permanent indention from years of use. Only 1 single bed blanket supplied, some lights not working, curtains filthy and dusty. I also have to mention the kettle in the room was really bad, the filter had a dirty sludge over it.
Check all comments for this accommodation before booking! Especially the reply from the hotel.they like to blame the customer for not booking the new rooms. I thought a 'Deluxe' room, would be 'Deluxe'! Or at least be provided clean rooms!

Can’t fault the restaurant or the staff.
Dined here tonight and my 5yo spilt his drink. The wonderful staff were over in no time, insisting on cleaning it up themselves and also replaced my sons drink. Thank you so much. The menu is very substantial, plenty of choice and definitely something for everyone. My steak was cooked to perfection and I barely needed a knife to cut it. Mouthwatering. Large serve of chips and a large delicious Asian inspired side salad.

Stayed for one night last year, was a decent motel, breakfast options were good. Had a steak there and it's pretty good for a country town. Good chat and overall a pretty nice vibe!

Second time I've stayed here. Very comfortable, clean an central. Shopping centre right next door. Darren an staff are fantastic hosts. Pleasure to stay there. Cheers guy's.

Clean and friendly. Definitely needs updating bed bases were very old and worn also torn, not very appealing. Lighting was terrible as well as a light fitting that was broken without a globe in it. There wasn't an information folder in the room, which is always nice to have if you are new to visiting the area. Also had a neighbour who needed to have the TV on quite loud.

Absolutely fantastic pub. Great meals, staff very attentive. Rooms a delight. Highly recommended.

Good feed at a good price. Not really an extensive lunch menu. Beers this time were not that cold (pint glasses not kept In fridge). Nice friendly staff.

Rooms are clean and tidy with a fridge, toaster, microwave and kettle.
Very comfortable beds, nice and fluffy pillows.
Good water pressure in the bathroom.
I didn’t try the included free continental breakfast - great that it’s included with the affordable price of the rooms.

The 2 out of 3 times I have gone there I've gotten food poisoning but other than that it's an amazing place with amazing staff who are very helpful

Okay place I don't drink but only went through drive in bottle shop my friend loves there 2 dollar box of goodies it's funny if it was a 200.00 dollar box of goodies or 2 dollars the excitement is still there wow look at this 2.00 yeehee cheap stuff still taste good

It was ok.a little rough at night near the beer garden and the pokies room area. Ok if you need a place to stay whilst visiting

The reception/check-in for accommodation was found to be disorganised, inaccurate and very confusing, even when I had confirmed paperwork and emails for a number of rooms booked. Very stressful. Rooms are clean and tidy with good beds and bedding. Meals in the restaurant, although on the pricy side, were of good quality. Mixed quality and friendliness of staff.

Staff have always been friendly, the meals are fairly priced and whatever we have had over our visits have been exceptional.we stay in the deluxe rooms and they are lovely.
