Vino's Indian Dhaba reviews
73Recommend their butter chicken, absolutely fabulous. Mango chicken and vandaloo was also pretty nice. Waitress was friendly and food came out pretty quick. No complaints so far.
Simple, authentic southern Indian food, at a ridiculous price. Home cooked, fresh and light. A true treat, not to be missed.
We have birthday party there it was bad experience no good customer said food not on time staff and owner have attitude problem we got hair in our curry not good service at all after food we order sweet they said we don’t have but we already order one day before I recommend to everyone please dont go there hate this place.
Don't go with run down interiors of this place. Food here packs an awesome punch. We had the masala dosa, idli and also the lunch thali, by all accounts I have not tasted a tastier masala dosa, mouth watering sambhar, chutney and coconut chutney.
They do take long to get food on the table however you're well advised that food this great takes time to make.
A must try for the awesome food.
Excellent place for south indian food. My favorites are super soft hot idlis, onion uttappam, masala dosa, lamb nilagiri gravy, chicken nilagiri gravy, kerala parrota and steamed rice. My no. 1 choice in adelaide. Chef uncle shanmugam is so inviting and humble. Aunty's reception is also good. Best to try no. 1 spot.

Amazing dosa and sambar. The South indian options are amazing. The pricing is also very good. I would definitely recommend to try it out
5 Star rating doesn't mean I got a gauranteed quality every time I visited. I got decent quality 9 out of 10 times. The gentleman and the lady, who runs the shop, told me they do not understand a thing about "internet" when asked about delivery through Ubereats or menulog. Even the online take-away menu on zomato was not updated in ages. From my past experience, I felt they come from a rural Indian village background where most people aren't bothered to be "polished" or even give you a smile when approached. I dont bother as long as they make good "Butter Chicken" and other curries. 5 Star rating for their honesty and hard-work but I never forget that "Chicken Chettinad" which tasted almost like a "Spicy Vindaloo" and went straight to bin. So be prepared.
Having grown up eating Idly, ‘roti canai’, fried Vadai and ‘thosai’ in Malaysia, it appears that Vino’s is the only place in Adelaide that does South Indian cuisine very well. They also do North Indian but I go there just for the above mentioned. If they do banana leaf rice for lunch - I think they will be really popular and busy.
The cook there doesn't understand "mild. " I asked for Chicken Korma: "mild" and it was way too hot. Dish was dark red and over spiced, set my mouth on fire. Ate a little and the rest went in the bin! Wouldn't recommend.
There are lots of Indian takeaways but its hard to find a good one as most are not trained Chefs. Also, if a cook is smoker, he can not proof taste to please the pallete of a non-smoker.
Humble decor but really delicious food. The Dosas are crispy, light and full of flavour. We loved the chilli idli in particular. Does justice to the chilli!
Best south Indian food in Adelaide.and their chilli idli are a must try! We have tried their masala dosa, idli, chilli idli and gulab jamun on various occasions and have never been disappointed.
Superb dosas! Maybe the best in Adelaide? Decor needs update but the price and the food quality is on point. New fav dosa place for sure.
Most pathetic service never going back AC wasn’t working and leaking in kitchen.literally ignoring staff.
We ordered a mix of south and north Indian dishes. Where dosas were nice and crispy, north Indian food failed to impress. The cheese was chewy. The lady at the counter paid half attention and gave wrong order. I asked to replace and she agreed after a polite argument. But while paying, very adamantly she asked me to pay for the whole order including the wrong naan bread. Asked for child meal but for that too had to pay full price of dish, for the condiments we did not consume. Not going back again.
If you need authentic South Indian Paratta dont look anywhere else. Same goes with the chilli chicken
If you don't care about the ambience and if you love food. This is the place to be. We visited Adelaide and found this gem suggested by a local friend. The food was made fresh, non frozen and tasty and a great service with a smile.
Amazingly good food. Every dish was hot and satisfying. Great meal and staff were very friendly.
Very authentic Indian food, family run, really good value, their English is not great but their good manners make up for it
I have a real affinity with this dhaba, particularly for the super authentic south indian fare. North India food is excellent too. It is a simple little restaurant however it is all about the delicious curries. I keep coming back!
Our local and favourite place to eat. Service is quick and friendly. Food is authentic as Indian/South Indian food can get in ADL. We love coming to place weekly and will always be giving our business here!
