Vino's Indian Dhaba reviews
73If you are craving for an authentic Dosa, then this is the place for you! I have had best dosas in Bangalore so this is the only place which is consistent with the taste no matter when or how many times you visit. Even the chutneys served are yum unlike other dosa places. Otherwise, sometimes dosas are good and chutneys aren't or vice versa. I would have given 5/5 but the customer service needs improvement. Overall, this is definitely the go to place for dosa lovers.
First of all, people need to understand this is a one man show kitchen and one woman show reception, order delivery, order pick up and all together joint venture. Secondly, it runs on Indian Standard Time, they will say 20mins wait time, now it's your duty to calculate it to an hour, its easy 20mins for him, 20 mins for her and 20 mins for you to get there in, to take it or eat it. So around 60 mins all together. Please don't come there and show your attitude they both without any hestiation or sympathy will ask you to Get Lost, so customers please put your act together. I'm giving 1 Star as in front of me they asked a person to leave or wait like a beggar, also got my order on time an hour not 20mins. I was patient so others please be patient and calm. Thank you.
Amazing experience every time
One of must try dishes:
- chilly idly
- mysore/rava dosa
- chettinad
- methi mattar malai
- cheese garlic naan
- kuttu parantha
Owner is the chef ️
Pooooooor customer service and communication skills, very arrogant chef. 1 hour wait for every dish. Not at all recommendable.
Worst experience.
Owners angry at customers as they couldn’t serve. Poor management. Poor service. Should stop wasting time if can’t cope up w the pace.
Phones don't get answered so hard to order in advance. And once there, U have to wait half hour minimum for an order. Food is good but poor service
Best dosas and vadas in Adelaide. Impressed with their lassis and prices as well. Definitely a go to for indian food lovers
It's a great place for fresh food and good service. The only recommendation would be for more natural light and fresh air to circulate. Highly recommend
Awesome place to have a home made cooked dosa and idly. Try it, it's really good. Run by husband wife, no doubt the service is slow, but the food is good and worth the wait.
Really really good food! I was really amazed at the authentic nature of menu. It was perhaps the best I've had. Well done to the cook.
Amazing masala dosa with homemade chutneys. Beautiful vegetable pakoras and idli. This family owned and operated ‘hole-in-the-wall’ restaurant is an absolute delight.
More indian food! Overall, the food at this restaurant was really good. No frills. However, the service was slow, so don't go there when you're super famished. But at least the food was worth the wait!
.
Paper masala dosa: such a nice presentation! Super cool and delicious.
.
Plain dosa: very tasty as well.
.
Chilli chicken dry: the chicken was really tasty! Great dish.
.
Gobi Manchurian: crispy cauliflower florets in a curry sauce. Delicious curry! Loved the cauliflower.
.
Vino's prawn curry: delicious flavours!
.
Naan: just can't go wrong with a good naan.
.
Vada: deep fried urud dal dumplings. Delicious dumplings with tasty sauces!
The food might be good I have not even tried but before that I felt like reviewing as the staffs here is not at all polite and gentle as if we are dining for free. Not coming ever for sure.
Food is amazing and authentic. The chicken chettinad and prata are my favourites! Briyani is simple and delicious too. In my opinion, the owners could be more friendly, but I will definitely frequent this place for south Indian food.
Food is good.
Shocking service.
The staff didn’t even bother to wipe the table or put napkins or even cutlery once they picked up old dishes from the table.
We noticed 7-8 different customers that complained as they were paying their bill because each of them had at least one item that they didn’t receive with their order.
Worst part was the staff didn’t even bother to apologise to any of them.
To top it off the staff member purposely started shouting in the kitchen saying “Customers are not being corporative” and they were complaining about the customers to each other in front of a restaurant full of people and everyone could clearly hear them.
This was really awkward and at this stage we weren’t even sure if we wanted to order anymore.
This could possibly be due to every single customer not receiving their order on time and MISSING items.
This isn’t a once off incident, we have been going there for years and the service keeps getting worse.
You really need to spend more time in training and educating your staff on how to provide good customer service.
You are still a long way from “good” so for now focus on “Proper” service at least.
There are multiple restaurants in Adelaide that have amazing customer service but no customers, but in your case it’s the worst service and the only reason people visit is due to good food however your luck might eventually run out of you don’t improve your customer service.
Best Dosa in Adelaide so far. Both owners are welcoming and nice people.i travel almost 80 kms to eat dosa from here. Worth traveling.
We came from far place to have lunch. The food was nice, but felt dissapointed of the service and hospitality. They were rude when given the feedback.
We have tried several restaurants in South Australia but none of them has bowled us over as this one.
The service was so swift that we just couldn't believe that a nearly packed restaurant too could be that responsive.
They specialize in South Indian cuisine and every dish was superbly delicious.
Get past the decor and you will most definitely enjoy the authentic Indian available. Great food, friendly staff and extremely well priced.
The food was delicious! And its all fresh. The staff were very friendly as well. I recommend this restaurant
