Utopia @ Waterfall Gully reviews
71Amazing food, customer service and a beautiful ambiance. The staff are lovely. I would highly recommend for a cute date or a high tea.
We arrived early for a high tea today and this was not an issue for staff member David who looked after us quite well while we were there. Most of the items we were served were only ok when compared to high teas we've consumed at other venues. For example, the macarons were chewy and the scones were doughy rather than light and airy. On balance I feel we didn't receive good value for money. This was disappointing as the venue is quiet and relaxing and the staff quite friendly.
What a lovely lunch we had at Utopia (with friends). The beef cheeks were amazing, as was the pork belly. & not to forget the rosemary potatoes! The desserts (especially the apple/cinnamon pudding) were mouth wateringly good. Fantastic service by Dave.what a lovely fella.in fact all the wait staff were so friendly and helpful. Just a beautiful place to have lunch.we all felt very pampered & t'was very reasonably priced. Oh yes.the wine list was terrific!
It takes a lot for me to rate somewhere 5 stars.outstanding place.so peaceful. Ideal for kids too. The walking is great and the scenes are beautiful. Will be coming back here for sure.
We went here for the first time a few weeks back and it was great. I had booked online but it ended up being a booking site not linked to the cafe so they were fully booked and didn't have our booking. They so nicely accommodated our family of 4 by giving us one of their tables set aside for high Tea. Breakfast was delicious and well priced and food was delivered promptly especially for how busy they were. Highly recommend. Great start to the day before we headed off on our hike.
The food was a bit of a wait but Dev and the other ladies were very polite and asked us if we needed anything everytime they passed by us.loved our all day breakfast, coffee and gnocchi. Thank you guys!
The restaurant is nice and I visit the kiosk regularly after my hike. Please address staff members speeding in the carpark. I have noticed several times a silver Ford Falcon S918 ABX and a white Subaru - driving erratically through the carpark and sometimes the wrong way with members of the public and children present.
Had a wonderful time, made to feel totally welcome, food was the best and there was plenty of it.the staff were attentive to our needs and it was worth the travel.check it out
This really beautiful restaurant gives you feel of sitting right in nature’s lap.here you enjoy your healthy and fresh food in fresh air sunshine.

Today we went for a family lunch here, and as usual left happy because the service, food, surroundings, atmosphere is one of the best around.thank you to utopia for keeping your business as good as ever! Always happy to visit again and again:)
Had a wonderful lunch today with friends. Food was great. Bernie, who was our main waitress, was fantastic. Friendly and fun, caring without being intrusive and all in all an impressive ambassador for this lovely establishment. A thoroughly enjoyable experience. Thanks.
Have been there many times for afternoon tea. Such a great spot with super friendly staff and pleasant view!
Relaxing, natural location with exceptional produce made with love from scratch to ensure a delicious home style meal. YUM to the MAX
What a serene and beautiful atmosphere, with the sound of the waterfall in the distance, greenery all around, you can't but settle in for brunch in high spirits. Eggs Bene was perfectly done, the coffee a delight, wait staff pleasant and amenable, the cost a positive surprise. All in all, perfect.
This wonderful old heritage building and the best Egg Benny I have had makes for a great experience. The service is good and the people are great.
It was my daughters baby shower, we had a afternoon tea, food was nice the attention to service was good, had a lovely day thank you
What a great venue for a modest size wedding. Perfect setting for the ceremony, then great venue for recrption afterwards. Could not fault the food or service. Great vibe overall. No room for dinner tonight though.
Parking is a bit chaotic at the weekends, but a coffee after a walk up to the waterfalls is an easy must do on a weekend.
29/11/19 Food was magnificent. The carrots + goat cheese side dish and the pear + blue cheese that went with the pork were definitely swoon-worthy. Would have liked to see more chicken and/or vegetarian options.
Service was friendly and obliging, surroundings gorgeous. Blue wrens hopping about on the verandah. Tables for two don't have as clear a view of the gully, so would aim at taking a larger group next time, but the ambience of the place is pleasant enough even without. Nice walk afterwards.
The good: Poached eggs were fresh and cooked well. The scenery and ambience is beautiful.the bad: Could be hard to get a park. Kids pancakes were dry, not freshly made. French toast had too many flavours. The eggs benny came with "cake like" bread. The mushrooms were not made fresh, not seasoned, no garlic.would I go back: I think there is a reason the car park is full yet they are almost empty. They don't need to do much, just have a bit more respect for their clientele. I would go back if I heard they had improved things, it is a great spot.
