Union Hotel reviews
59Nice venue. Good service. Good drinks. Meal burnt and only luke warm and served with minimal I mean like 15 chips. Big plate, small meal.
The lamb rump was a little on the tough side and the main dining room could use some sound dampening.
Always a great place to relax. Staff are friendly food is satisfying. Can recommend this place.
Came here on 28/9/22 for a work lunch of 5. The menu was varied enough that someone on a strict diet found something to eat. Food was really good with good size serves and nicely presented for pub meals. Reasonably priced. Everyone was served in a timely manner. Kitchen were good enough to advise of a change in an accompanying salad for a dish. Can recommend.
Walked in.some solid tunes were playing. Chose to stay and get some good vibes flowing on an otherwise dull day. Ordered fish and salad. Seemed the oil used for frying tasted a little off. So it ruined the fish flavor.large area for grabbing a drink and siting or just chilling at the bar.also a nice atrium at the back which could be used for company events or large group dinners.small gambling room as an adjacent room.overall I would try it again, mainly for the music but I might even have a stab at another meal just to see if the oil was the issue. Mangia!
Great good, friendly staff and an excellent atmosphere.enjoyed a few cold ones as well.definitely returning.
Amazing food the kitchen deserves praise room for improvement for THE FOH but that's Adelaide
If you are looking for a pub where you hear your own voice, then the Union is for you. Right in the middle of Adelaide CBD. Very cozy place. Super clean. Staff are friendly and the chicken parmi was excellent.
Love this pub.
If you like steak. They do good ones.
Lots of veggie options too.
Good beer and wine selection.
Called in late at night.
Good vibes, 80s music, cold drinks, friendly atmosphere and bar staff.
Wasn't overly busy, but it was after midnight
Had my husbands wake here and the staff were so friendly and obliging. Can't recommend enough.
Served me a dish with a stone that I nearly broke my tooth on, refused to replace it and was rude about to top it off. Cheap scumbags don't know anything about customer service.
Been there the last couple weeks in the bar. Fairly quiet there. Terrible service waiting for a drink. Won't be back.
Very impressed with this place.
We came here for a work dinner and it was a fair walk from our hotel.
The Team were very professional and helpful. They accommodated our requests to changes in the menu and very helpful with the drinks selection.
The menu and the food we ordered (5 adults) was amazing! I was really impressed by the food and quantity.
Highly recommended and I look forward to going back next time I am in Adelaide.
Also if you like sports - they put the sport channel on for us.
We had a party of 6.
Everyone enjoyed the meal and atmosphere.
We will catch up again soon at the same place, same time.
Recommend a visit.
We recently held a birthday party for our son in the Bar Cuba Room. At all times the function staff were brilliant to work with. Helpful and friendly - nothing was ever too much trouble. The room itself has a great ambience for a party. We didn't need to bring in any extra decorations and a great night was had by all of our guests. Moreover, the prices were incredibly reasonable and the packages very flexible. Highly recommended and thanks to Liberty to making it a great night.
Ordered the salt and pepper squid. Absolutely lousy on the chips, salad was mostly onions, hardly any lettuce and no tomatoes or a touch of capsicum at all and I counted 8 squid rings of which I prefer to be a golden yellow colour but instead its white. The plate was not fully overflowing to wow you and satisfy your hunger and also not hot like it just came out of the pan. My friend got the chicken schnitzel and the size was not fulfilling at all too. It was too rubbery with fat. Not going back.
If you like the slow food movement, this place is perfect. Waited nearly two hours for the entree to be served.
Great menu and choice on tap. Cosy little place, nice way to wind down at the end of the day.
I had the porterhouse steak, medium rare and cooked to perfection.
