Haven't been in the Popeye since I was a kid. Took my kids on today!

I learnt more information about the history of Adelaide in 30 minutes than I have in 40 years of living here! Kids loved it and was worth the price.

A must do for tourist's and locals.

Great commentary during the cruise although it was a bit loud so it was sometimes difficult to hear. Nice day for a cruise which offered complimentary coffee and tea. Very stable boat, surprisingly. No one got sea sick.

Hosts were very friendly and funny. I love the stories and some of the history mentioned.

It was a full boat - 20 people on board due to COVID restrictions. Would be nice if they had another boat going as it was booked out on the day and some my friends weren’t able to get on.

Cruise felt a bit short but will do it again and maybe try some of the themed cruises:)

It was the best cruise for us! Mark was great and Tony was awesome. Each of us had a unforgettable time especially when we were made captain for a minute! Highly recommended!

Great cruise. Tony was humorous and very knowledgeable about the area and history.
Here's hoping he gets the handbrake fixed (inside joke) go on the cruise to discover the pun. Cheers guys.

A very pleasant cruise along the River Torrens. The Captain and crew have a great knowledge of the river, and the history of early Adelaide. Lots of lovely water-birds and beautiful scenery.
Very much enjoyed the local Pikes Pale Ale and the Adelaide Hills Side-Wood Wine. Definitely the 'Jewel in the Crown of Adelaide'

This 45mins cruise, was informative. A relaxing ride, with no crowd due to covid restrictions. If you are into architecture of historical buildings, this will be for you. Otherwise the occasional ducks, birds, pelicans. I personally don’t think that kids or youngsters will be too keen on this cruise. The boat was clean and spacious. Noticed that the paddle boats were wipe down immediately after the passengers left. Thanks for keeping us safe. Booking online is easy and don’t forget your seniors concession if you have one.

You have to sit on the boat perimeter to be able to see anything, and only on your side, as the ceiling of the boat is quite low. The guide was a pleasant friendly man who has a sort of mumbling style of talking into the mic so it was a bit hard to understand what he was saying sometimes. I think this sort of cruise needs an open deck to see 360 degrees

We went on the 90 min gin cruise, and no where in the booking does it mention the fact that there are no toilets on board. We had to ask the driver to stop for one member of our
party and to be honest i didn't appreciate the driver broadcasting the need to stop to the whole cruise. Insensitive i felt. We did enjoy the scenery and the trip though, although slighty spoilt for us.

Had a awesome start to our family day on the popeye! The captain was fun and informative, had a “spot-it” game planed for the kids, plenty of photo opportunities and even let the kids have a turn in the captain seat! Can’t wait to go on the gin tasting tour in the popeye! Big thanks to the popeye crew!

What a lovely trip and a great way to see Adelaide from a different angle. Mark and Dave were excellent - friendly and informative. Lots of local knowledge. I was amazed most at the amount of bird life seen on the river. There were wonderful varieties on show and we even saw a couple of large turtles too. Definitely recommended to do this when you're in Adelaide. For the price, it's money well spent and you'll have a lovely 45 minutes cruising along The Torrens.

This was a fantastic experience, had a great time and at an affordable price. The ride is relaxing and the boat itself very nice. The hosts were courteous and knowledgeable, and the food and drink delicious; the scones are a must try

Nice little outing and interesting commentary for us poms who want to know about the surroundings and it’s history. We opted for the Devonshire scones and hot drink and although it wasn’t ideal to eat them on the trip we enjoyed them off shore and they were delicious!
