The Maylands Hotel reviews
64Delightful, welcoming place. Had lunch with friends there yesterday - the food really is fantastic & the wine list is great too. Every meal we had was exceptional & it's such good value. The bistro is light & breezy - a real summer holiday feel & their staff were just lovely, providing great (but not in your face) service.
It's a nice place to have a birthday celebration or just to catch up with family and friends. Great atmosphere and friendly staff.
$54 for an overcooked tough gnarly scotch fillet steak when asked for rare-medium. I DONT THINK SO!
My interstate visitors really enjoyed their lunch, and the general ambience.
Thank you Lily for looking after us.
Love any excuse to go to the Maylands. The food and staff are brilliant. I can recommend all the classic dishes and with the changeover to the summer menu I now have a lot of new options to try out.
Another excellent meal. We really appreciate the option of the library or booths for a quieter atmosphere.
We happily travel from Campbelltown as there is nowhere we have discovered locally that can compare.
Only hotel that has ever charged me when I run out of sauce for my schnitzel and need extra. Was also the smallest amount of sauce I've ever seen.
We held my 50th Birthday celebration and it was a great day. We booked the Library and Onyx Bar space which suited us perfectly, the food was outstanding, and the service for our group was second to none. I would highly recommend the Maylands Hotel to anyone who wants an affordable, but high quality experience.
$15 for spicy pepper dip, $3 for extra bread. Dip was barely 1/4 of the dish (1 tablespoon) and the thin sliced bread was burnt. When I complained to waitress, she smiled and said she would tell the chef. That was it, no apology, replacement and still had to pay for it
Great food and service. The place gets a bit noisy when many dinners are present. A games room for children would be welcomed.
Great service. Very accommodating with a large group. Didn't get 5 stars because waited over 45 mins for food but within about 8-10 mins. 24 of us got our meals which were delicious!
The burger was the best I have eaten by far. The service was top notch and the atmosphere warming and comfy. The owners have done a fantastic job.
Worth the effort to eat and be merry.
Food was so salty and unacceptable for the money they charge and I never complain won’t be back sorry
Fantastic suburban pub. Freshly renovated and inviting. Great food but a touch on the expensive side.
Beautiful setting and ambiance. The staff were attentive and friendly. The food was delicious with a good selection to suit all tastes. We really enjoyed our experience.
Two of the best breakfast dishes my group of friends have ever tasted - the stracchiatella cheese and asparagus with poached eggs, and the crab omelette. The plain omelette was a bit dry and bland, but overall, we were highly satisfied with our Sunday morning outing. The waitress was charming and efficient, and despite there being quite a crowd spread over several tables, she managed to look after us all. The dining area is beautifully set up with comfortable furniture, including " lounging" space. The view over the park is delightful. We will be making this our "go to" venue for our regular breakfast get-togethers.
We have enjoyed the many meals at the Maylands Hotel (in the Library).
Two weeks ago, we booked for dinner for four, and with request for a table in the Library. The receptionist confirmed our booking and with a table in the Library.
We arrived on Sat, 1 Apr @ 6.50pm (booking for 7pm), and were told to sit 'very near the entrance'. We were told 'there were no tables available in the library'. We requested the waitress to re-check our booking.not a great response either!
We left, and disappointed two international visitors to Adelaide.
Best wishes
Dining at The Maylands is, as always, a wonderful experience. With beautiful decor, attentive staff, a variety of delicious food, a welcoming ambience with delightful pockets of dining areas to complete the enjoyable experience.
Table of 8 and we all really enjoyed our meals. Porterhouse Steak and the Spicy Chicken were exceptional. Lily our waitress was a delight. Definitely dine here again
I feel I’d like to express my gratitude ️ We had a lovely meal last Tuesday evening. The ambience of the Library room we dined in was beautiful. The waiting staff, in particular Lottie, were friendly, informative, fun and engaging. The food was delicious. I’d like to congratulate the staff on providing exceptional service and amazing food. We shall return!?
