The Manor Estate reviews
73We attended the secret garden Sunday session. Sparkling brut was fantastic ️ live music a bonus. Peter & staff very welcoming and friendly. Lunch available all afternoon and cheese platter lovely.
Peter made us most welcome on a very relaxing Sunday afternoon. Special place with some amazing. Sparklings went done very easily especially on warm day. The secret garden has plenty of life and character to compliment the fine wines. Really appreciate the hospitality of Peter who did it all. Look forward to visiting again.
Absolutely astonishing service! We were blown away by a very hospitable team of staff, catering to all of our requests, exceeding our expectations!
What a fabulous stay in the gorgeous Manor Estate. Our host, Peter went out of his way to make our time here memorable from the out of hours cheese platter and wine tasting in the Secret Garden to the exceptional continental breakfast and an extra little for morning tea to go. Bonuses were the wildlife visitor and the devine figs straight from the tree.the tree
We had a wonderful overnight stay here at Easter. Peter the host was incredibly welcoming and up for a chat, suggesting plenty of great places to see and things to do while we visited Adelaide. The grand fireplace suite was amazing.high ceiling, big four poster bed and fireplace (we almost wish it was cold so we had an excuse to use it). It's incredibly peaceful and relaxing, but only 25 minutes from the beach and the city. We had champagne in the room and purchased an amazing bottle of his estate wine, highly recommended!
The estate is the best hidden gem you can find in the McLaren Vale region! Tucked away from the main road, the grounds are simply incredible, so much scenery and gorgeous wildlife, you will be blown away. Peter’s service and personal touch are as stunning as the suite’s, grounds and the Secret Wine Garden that welcomes people for afternoon drinks in the sunshine just a stones throw from your suite. Highly recommend!
With personable service, a breathtaking location and exceptional accomodation the Manor Estate is somewhere we cannot wait to return to. A hidden gem that deserves to be found!
I attended the wedding of my friend. It was just excellent. I am impressed. Fantastic service, fantastic ambience. Delicious wine.
Lovely Winery, good to bring a group of firends. Nice scenery and heaps of space. Peter is attentive and intersting.
Loved it! Amazing venue, staff and most importantly - wines are delicious! Great atmosphere and Peter & staff made us feel very welcome! Can’t wait to come back ️
"The Manor", if wine tasting could be a horror movie this would be it. The $29 Groupon we paid for was not worth it and false advertising when you can get a tasting for much less or free elsewhere. Awkward ultra slow service (wanted us to stay for 4 hours!) with tiny nibbles and drinks which seemed designed so that you stay longer so you're more likely to purchase from their VERY expensive menu. 1 star for the scenery, and the Shiraz which was nice, the rest of the wines are fine not memorable. Guitarist was an old ball and gave us weird vibes. Should stick to just the music, less chit chat and go back to 6 strings as the 12 stringer was out of tune. It was an awkward experience. I wish they would rethink their delivery as this place does have a lot of potential.
Fabulous stay with Peter and a lovely experience in the Secret Wine Garden. I loved the wines and the knowledge and attention from the host was lovely. A much more personal experience than a stuffy cellar door pushing numbers in and out. Canapes were unique but familiar flavours, think: fancy aussie bbq morsels. They went well with the chill atmosphere - you will spend more than an hour here.
An unassuming spot radiating Peter's passion and hard work. Not your average place for sure.
Stayed at the Manor for 5 nights, I wish I read the reviews beforehand. The place claims to be a luxury accomodation, that's what we came for, it didn't take long to realise that my understanding of luxury differs by a mile from the one who named it luxury.
Your luxury experience will begin with a shower that has no screen splashing water everywhere (my advice - do not try to use the toilet afterwards). Don't forget to bring your toiletries as you usually do when you stay at the luxury hotels, this place will only provide one small shower gel for 2 people for 5 days. May be next time you staying at a 3 star hotel trying to figure out what to do with all those small shampoo bottles that got replenished every day - send them to this place to help them run the business.
On a positive note your breakfast hamper will arrive as promised - once. Who needs a brekky every day?
If you are still hesitating maybe the odour from the sewage in the bathroom may convince you. Or perhaps the aircon they switch off at night will make you feel luxuries. Not enough - read the other reviews - they have a bit of insight too.
In case if the above doesn't sound like luxury to you, you may need to consider other options.
Such a great vibe. New years Day 2022. Ticks all the boxes.
Great food. Amazing hospitality. Delicious wine.
We booked the Secret Garden event as an alternative to the NYE party scene. Perfect way to spend an afternoon with good friends. Peter was the perfect host while John played awesome music all afternoon. Highly recommended
We had a group of 12 stay at the Manor for a birthday and absolutely loved the whole experience. Peter is a great character and an excellent host. We enjoyed a generous tasting of his selection of lovely wines before we set out to lunch and Peter looked after us on our return setting up some evening drinks on the lawn area. The grounds and surrounds are beautiful and what a treat to stay in an old Manor house! Peter even included a breakfast spread the next morning which was a great touch too. Highly recommend this location for any group style function. And if you haven't tried the wines - give them a go!
It is the perfect place for quality wines and great atmosphere. I have been to a few wine tastings but this one is by far one of my favourite. Peter is An amazing host and together with beautiful food, wines music and friendly atmosphere is one not to miss. I highly recommend it ️️
Peter with his fine wines and food and John with his music and conversation made it a most enjoyable afternoon.
Absolutely fantastic place to visit one of our favourite places to visit, the wine is out of this world and our host Peter was very accommodating with excellent food served throughout
John playing tunes all afternoon on guitar which was brilliant
We will certainly be back again
Thank you So much
The secret garden is such a special event. Beautiful food, amazing music, family friendly vibe. Would 100% recommend to anyone and everyone. Beautiful Sunday day out!?
Excellent setting. Secret garden was good, with wine tasting. Loved their 2013 shiraz. My wife loved the sparkling Rose'. Not bad, when she drink only a few selected white wines. Staying a the chalet spar suite. Fantastic accommodation.
