The Lion Hotel reviews
63Highly recommend the tunnels for events as well as the downstairs function room. Amazing backdrop for any event. The food is amazing. The cocktails hit the spot for after work drinks on Fridays and the staff are always so helpful. Any day of the week and the food is amazing. Best Iced Lattes on Melbourne Street. Love The Lion
Giving this one 5 stars for the meals, highly recommend the prwan and angel hair pasta. The venue itself has a great vibe, regular DJs playing and a well stocked wine tasting room that also does takeaway purchases. Seems like a pretty popular place for locals to do lunch/coffee during the day as well
Excellent venue. Clean and beautifully renovated with a grand selection of local beers on tap. In fact, during happy hour you can try a few of these boutique beers for less than you can reasonably find them to buy in a bottle shop. Highly recommended.
Great food, drinks and service. Our hostess was incredibly efficient and VERY understanding, even right down to trying to corralle everyone for a photo shoot.
We met up with other poodle owners pre Christmas. Staff were great, got water for the dogs, we sat outside, had coffee and breakfast. Very nice.
Excellent dinner experience. Good price for good food. Check the wine room if you need advice for wine no matter matching the food or take home.
Dined on a public holiday during restrictions so not a true experience. Overall a good experience. Food was delicious, staff were pleasant enough however got the impression they were there because they HAD to be, not because they wanted too. Decent wine list and atmosphere.
I like this place. Food is good. Got a good vibe. It's loud. Really loud. The 3 stars is for the waiting staff. Low rent type not up to standard of another Adelaide up market restaurant. The service staff are rough and Ned more training on how to service tables. A bit off a put off. Yikes. What you'd expect at gas station diner.
Good coffee. Great snack food. And open over the Christmas holiday period. Lifesaving for a coffee addict. Thankyou.
Thankyou. Thankyou. Ray
Its okay to say wear a mask but dont day " wear ur fkn mask" thanks green shirt. How i know he had gotie i dont know ummmmmm ill take my money else where thanks.
A nice place to hang out, with an outdoor terrace and indoor seating. The portion sizes were large and they offer up a good burger. The Lion Hotel also offer a good variety of beers and ales on tap.
Had a great work function there at Lion Hotel. Friendly staff as always! Good food!
Would recommend Lion Hotel for any functions!
Came for a birthday party. Cocktail food carried out by staff but after a while the plates are just dumped randomly on tables where people are sitting and talking. It would have been better if they placed the food on an allocated table away from socialising people. It's covid.
Excellent customer service staff very lovely.manager needed some maners and experience.try taking orders from customers in a service way. Outside patrons should be looked after.it's called customer service.
Great venue. Mark the duty manager is a legend. Renee the bar manager very professional. Both make a great team.
Slow service. Be good if staff actually served instead of hanging around talking to each other. We come here a lot on Sundays and incredibly disappointed with service. Utterly shocking
Love the renovations, sad the restaurant is more like a pub feed now.nice enough food but the steak just wasn't the same as before
Would not go there again. Food well below expectations. Very poor compared with the previous years. Expensive.
The food was GREAT. The decor is fresh and pleasnt to enjoy. Staff were professional. Couldnt fault it. Even wheel chair access is through front door.
Probably just had the worst Caesar salad ever.
But the most concerning thing is that the staff, eyes glazed, did not want to discuss but keen to defend. Paid in full for a returned main course meal that was most unsatisfactory. Under the current in house hotel complaints system, management, who should be keen to have feedback, would never know.
