Such a weird and wonderful eclectic place. A must-visit when in McLaren Vale. Small entry fee includes wine tastings and viewing of the downstairs gallery. Make sure you take the stairs on the way down.

Very interesting with unique art and wall designs, We enjoyed a guided tour informing us the meanings behind the designs

Eccentric and interesting visit worth the $15 entry fee on the rainy day of our visit. Lots to look at, good views, friendly staff and great wines make it worthwhile.

Love the uniqness of this place.
A surprise in what's been made with bits and pieces around every corner.
Loved the Salvador Dali exhibition

Waste of time and not worth $15 for entry. Came early for wine tasting and lunch. Wine tasting was slow and limited to whites or reds only (you can only choose one). Got a table at Polly's just before lunch, when I was really to order I was told that we need to wait for a group to or order and eat first.

Very disappointing.

The views and artwork are great.

Been there few times and this place always has something new to offer. This time it was an art exhibition. They took my fav "dead arm" shiraz off the tasting list which is a bit sad but the staff was very kind to open a bottle for us to taste. The new summer additions were also very nice.

We bought tickets to the cube and wine tasting, very affordable at $15 per person. Wine tasting was in the fourth floor, included a wide range of wine of the region. We tried 3 whites and 3 reds. The view is also fantastic allowing you to look at the winery while sipping your wine. Highly recommend!

Not only was the wine tasting opportunity fab but the artistic display was food for the soul. All be it an eclectic display of items that surprise your eye and the possibility of finding any rhyme or reason for aspects witnessed.

Not impressed. You have to pay to get in, even to the cafe. It is a pity because we really wanted to visit but since we came without a wine tour so that we could spend more time looking around we were put off by the fact that you had to pay to get in.

You know that friend that you had in highschool who was always trying to be "random" for the sake of being random? The one who was going for shock laughs but without any real sense of timing, context, or wit behind any of it?

This place is the architectural equivalent.

It's surrounded by a bunch of "Dali" inspired sculptures, with dubious ties to the artist. The remainder of the art outside is much more interesting.

Inside it feels less like a gallery and more like a psychological experiment designed to determine the maximum volume of simultaneous stimuli which a human being can be exposed to, while still reacting with total boredom.

The main building looks like something from the "Call of Cthulhu", trying to worm it's way into our plane of existence for another dimension. But unlike the HP Lovecraft story, it lacks imagination.

The stars are for the wine and the staff. Can't fault them there.

Salvador Dali exhibition was really enjoyable with the unique exhibits. The biggest let down was the wine tasting experience. To start off the staff coordinating the wine tasting started off with the wrong wine on the list. They seemed extremely busy and were rude when asked about the specifics of the wine being tasted. Rather than a single staff managing the tasting there were random staff pouring the tasting. We had a great experience at Molly dooker and Hugh Hamilton.

Would give it 3 stars but pushed down to 1 as an employee rudely pushed us out of the building as we were already walking down the stairs. Was told “we closed ten minutes ago” when it was only 5 past. Also told “you don’t want to be locked in as there are a lot of scary things” what sort of “scary things”, excuse me we are not children? Then asked to just go to the bathrooms and was told “there are bathrooms OUTSIDE” with no instruction or slightest bit of politeness to paying customers as to where they were even located? Subconscious racism, perhaps, since those she spoke to have heavy accents… if it were an old western couple I am certain she would not have acted this way. On top of this, we waited about 30 minutes to be served at the wine tasting while watching other people who came in after us be served first thus making the experience extremely rushed and unenjoyable.

Didn't like. Not my type of place. Wine ok. But paid $15 for wine tasting and used same glass for all the tasting. Tasted $100 bottle wine and it all tasted the same. Need to think about that one, sales!?

Certainly an interesting place to go if you're looking for an experience with your wine tasting. Intriguing selection of art and certainly some quirky choices. View from the top while you have wine tasting is certainly spectacular.

Amazing, quirky building inside and out. The Dali sculptures suit it and it suits them! Polly's cafe lunch was tasty with a range of interesting selections and great service. Wine tasting was professionally delivered by friendly and accommodating staff. The toilets are a treat in store! Whole afternoon appreciated by everyone from age 21 to the 83yr old birthday 'girl'.

You can enjoy this place in different ways
If you are an art lover you are going to find a lot of different perspective of art and exclusive gallery, I really recommend the 360 grades room, the experience is awesome.
If you are wine lover, it is the place that you need to visit because you can can find good wine, good views, and good service in one location.

It was a good experience to tour the building. Building itself is very nice. Love the balconys and view and wine tasting was good. However cafe experience wasn't that good. Food was quite expensive and quantity was not good. I didn't like the taste too. Most interesting part was it's washroom. Definitely recommend to visit it even though you do not need to use it. It is like a puzzle. Well decorated. 360 room was good too. Love the outside and inside both.
