The Colonist reviews
73Friendly staff, good food, great beer and wine selection, how can you go wrong? Have been multiple time with the standard always being top notch and friendly service. Will happily come again.
Very impressive, particularly after sampling other drinking venues along the Parade. Decor interesting and appealing, good staff, enjoyable food, great beer - the Prancing Pony stout was superb, one of the best stouts I've had on my travels.
Good old kirky pub. I had rabbit gnocchi which was ok. Traditional pub food looked much better so id prob grab a schnitzel next time. G+t happy hour on Thurs and Fri from 6-7pm is great!
I've dined in the restaurant area and the food is lovely. Some dishes are smaller than expected but if u ask them they are very friendly and will guide you to the best dish to suit. Lovely wines and comfortable seating. The chef has been accommodating if I've needed to tweak anything.
My local, great selection of beers on tap but can't believe how expensive it's become! Bar food is regular fare, restaurant is nice.
A charming pub with a large variety of interesting beer. Good breakfast on the weekends. Otherwise the food is a bit overpriced, but always delicious
Very polite and helpful staff free toasted sandwiches and bread rolls with ham and tomato relish only in pokie rm but yummy
Quirky as place, great selection of local drinks, excellent place to hang out with a group of friends.
The pub has great character and atmosphere, excellent food, and terrific staff. The bar manager, Ali, is a real gem (attractive, personable, and fun). So if you're looking for a 'local' the Colonist should be your one and only destination.
Great atmosphere and fantastic food - and the best part - we both have special dietary requirements and they didn't charge us for the items we deducted from the dish (like chips and sauce) and that is rare - love the Colonist and we will be back.
Great variety of local and craft beers from all over, and a great pub menu to compliment the selection of beers
Old style decor. Chilled out atmosphere. Great little venue to go for a quiet beer after the footy.
Great little pub with fantastic meals and amazing service. Beer list is decent and always changing to include good local and national craft brews. Food is presented well and tastes great. The sit-down menu is pricey but worth it given the quality and added service. Awesome location, too - away from the bustle of central Parade shopping, so lots of close-by parking if the hotel carpark is full.
