The Coffee Barn Gelateria

Went here today for the first time and the ambiance was welcoming and customers, both adults and kids are in good mood.must be the delicious gelato!

We tried coffee and strawberry flavoured ones with our pancake and it was an absolute divine! Can compete with the gelato sold in Venice for exorbitant xx euros! What’s surprising is the cost, it’s only $4! A good deal. The lady at the cashier was really friendly and accommodating. Too bad waffles were out, we would have tried that as well. Maybe next time

This place is awesome I love the pancakes and same as my family this is a little secret place but we’ll did up the only thing is there are no savoury items on the menu it's a 30 minute drive for me and it’s worth it it’s a good place and definitely will be coming back here

Absolutely recommended, away from the beaten path for great coffee, homemade ice cream or even a "cream tea" like in Cornwall. Well staffed, friendly team

Very unique experience! We visited several times during our week-long stay in the area, and it was great to see a fantastic range of different flavours every time we visited! Baba had his first Gelato experience and it was a huge hit! You don't always see this little gem unless you're told about it, but well worth the visit! We will definitely be back and recommend highly to others!

A great place to visit, in a quaint nostalgic country setting, just a kilometre orctwo south of Moonta. Superb pancakes were enjoyed there.

Spoke to staff who refused to help and did not listen were quite rude and dismissive

Tonight we got pizzas from a caterer going through the barn, SA wood oven pizzas. I wouldn't recommend, family ordered 5 pizzas tonight, 9" at $15 each.has no flavour and minimal toppings.really disappointing and won't be going back.

Been to Moonta few times and didn't know about this place. Thankfully locals took us here. A hidden secret that needs to shared. Just a few minutes drive out of town. Short dirt driveway.but well worth it. Fantastic indoor and outdoor dining area. Great variety of toppings for pancakes and amazing gelato flavours. Sooo delicious and very filling. Will be making this a go to stop whenever we're in Moonta.

They are changing far to much is supposed to be a 10 percent surcharge but are changing way more and the new owner is very rood can't even be bothered to even talk to you must be to high and mighty for the pesance

As an Italian, I take my gelato seriously.
I could not be happier of the quality and creaminess of their gelato (and pancakes).
It became our daily routine to sit down in the well kept and ornated garden, tasting one of their delicious treats. It felt a bit like being in Sicily. Definitely worth a visit.

Don’t order coffee!
For $5.00 I got a cup of warm "superior quality, industry best", UHT Milk.
Gelato was great, coffee was left on the table after 1 sip.

Sharing my experience by "taking to my Keyboard" to let others know MY experience with coffee here. I PERSONALLY hate the taste of long life and UHT milk and wouldn't think for $5.00 I would be served long life milk in my coffee.

Don't let the curb appeal fool you. This place has beautifully made sweets and drinks. Highly recommend you go try for yourself.

What a find, heard about it, did a recon, sampled the gelato and back the next day! Just minutes out of the Moonta CBD, this place has so many deliciously sweet options, all made on-site. Do yourself a favour and check this place out!

Not bad for a pit stop and an ice cream. Personally would come for much else.

Staff used UHT Milk rather than fresh milk for shakes. Not a great sign.
