Floor staff were friendly but the qualifications of the optometrist was highly questionable. Prior to the appointment I had checked to see if it was possible to get a pair of contacts after the appointment as I had left my glasses at home and the staff had agreed to give me one to wear out for free. But when the time actually came around the optometrist, who by the way had given me a new higher prescription I didn’t need (had a second opinion), gave me a pair that had a way higher prescription then both my original and the prescription he had newly obtained and just told me to take it out as soon as possible.

I recently had an eye test as my vision had deteriorated slightly. I was very happy with the optometrist, as she listened to my concerns in relation to floaters, retinal detachment and glaucoma (due to family history), and I feel she did a thorough eye examination. She also explained things in a way that I could understand.

James was super helpful in assisting me with selecting new frames as I could not see very well.

I recently had a contact lens fitting here too and I was impressed with how quickly and easily I was able to put them in/take them out. The man was friendly and patient. Seeing him demonstrate in front of me really helped.

The staffs are very very kind and helpful. They have the best service and all of them are so nice! They helped me to sort things out and they are genuinely nice to their customers. Very grateful for their help.

I went in for an eye test as advised my my specialist. The young female optometrist was quite condescending and questioned the symptoms I had been experiencing. Went to my GP and another optometrist and received thorough, considerate and informed advice. Turns out there is an issue and thankfully I detected it early. Please provide staff with training on how to treat people.

I was a loyal customer of this store for past few years. Last year I had a hunch that there was something wrong with the store optometrist’s prescription but this year that hunch was confirmed. The optometrist advised me that I need bifocals and this sounded a bit strange as I had similar vision issues a few years ago and single vision prescription fixed it. So due to benefit of doubt I went to another optometrist in a a different shop and the prescription fixed my near vision issues as well. And guess what - the new prescription was totally different to the one that optometrist at Specsavers Rundle Mall prescribed. By the way Specsavers Rundle Mall optometrist advised me to get bifocals. Within a span of one week a good experienced optometrist’s prescription form a different store was totally different than Specsavers Rundle Mall’s optometrist. I am sorry to state that either the Specsavers Rundle Mall optometrists are inexperienced, or they have been given the agenda by franchise owner to maximise profits by suggesting expensive options such as bifocals to unsuspecting customers.

The people working here were so nice and so helpful. While visiting here from the US, my son's glasses broke and we were lost as what to do. Our hotel sent us here to see if they could help. Shona greeted me with a huge smile and immediately took to helping solve the problem. I would come back here in a heartbeat to shop if we weren't leaving tomorrow. Thank you a million times over for your great service!

The optometrist agreed to give me a free pair of contacts during a checkup as I didn’t bring my glasses. He proceeded to give me a pair that was the wrong prescription and just said not to wear them for too long. Highly unprofessional

I have been into this store a few times now just browsing and they have always been super friendly and so I thought I'd go in and get some glasses. I needed to renew my script so I was given an appointment and glasses were all sorted. The staff as I said are friendly and very helpful. The store is VERY busy and there can be some wait times so I suggest you make appointments in advance etc.

We were there last sunday at last hour if we could replace my wife’s glass’s broken frame. Op manager came to us and helped in finding right frame that would fit right for old glass, and yes we were more than happy, as we could just buy frames, It was a great help as we saved time, money in getting new glasses.
He was very friendly, helpful and explained us every bits. Thanks guys!

Pathetic customer service experience. Purchasing glasses for the first time, was given no guidance. Assistant wasn't interested in earning a sale whatsoever. Was told that he was "good at pricing", so to let him know once a pair had been found, rather than doing his job and assisting me find a pair of glasses.

Do yourself a favour and go to an independent optical store like Bailey Nelson or The Pinhole Effect (in Adelaide Arcade), and have an enjoyable experience.

It is now April and you have not contacted me. What went wrong since you had said everything would be ready within two weeks? I am really devastated and don't even know how to rate your services.

End result: Having to go to another Spec Savers to get the glasses fixed

Very Very happy.
I recently bought 2 pairs of glasses, and wasn't happy with one of them, team in Rundle mall are so friendly and helpful, Hinson, Dominie and especially Linda were so patient with me in selecting a new pair.
I will always come back and recommend them to my friends.
