Specsavers Optometrists - Adelaide - Rundle Mall reviews
59Big thank you to Cheyenne for repairing my glasses and giving me a quote for a new pair yesterday. Extremely friendly and professional service!:)
The optometrist I saw was very professional and was very patient with me as it was my first eye test. I was very anxious but she reassured me each step of the way. After the eye test a staff member helped me select some frames. I was very happy with the service I received and would recommend this branch to all my friends and family.
Today I went to the Rundle mall store and was assisted with my sunnnies/glasses selection by 4 staff members. All of them showed care & effort in finding the best suited pair. Rhianna was finalising my order & showed nothing but a great customer service. She definitely went above & beyond in delivering best customer care. Thanks to Rihanna & her 3 colleagues for making my shopping much easier!
My optometrist, Rachel, was excellent - very professional, knowledgeable and friendly. She was one of the best I've seen. Unfortunately, I have grave concerns about the administrative side. I was given someone else's prescription to take away (which includes some personal details of the person, like his address). When I notified them by email, I was sent my own prescription twice (by two different people, which shows a lack of internal admin systems too). Both those emails failed to acknowledge the mistake, nor ask me to destroy or return the other person's prescription. Given the breach of client confidentiality, I would have expected them to jump on the issue to correct it, rather than simply ignore such a serious breach. Mistakes happen. If they'd addressed it, I would not be concerned. The fact that they didn't, worries me greatly about their internal processes and how seriously they treat our medical information.
I was served by a lovely optomotrist who really helped me with my eye condition at the time. I have been a heavy contact lenses wearer for 10+ years and have developed some eye issues as a result, but the cost of glasses is really high as I'm -6.2 which requires thinning and multi-level lenses, all up they cost $1000+. She was understanding that it's a big expense compared to the $25 a month for lenses offering a discount to help with the cost as I was advised I need to stop wearing contacts asap. This was enough to hopefully break my habit of always wearing lenses and start wearing glasses, however when I went to try frames the sales staff quickly approached me to put my mask back on, despite being the only customer in the store store with my mum. I asked how would I know if the glasses suit me if half my face is covered, despite that they said those are the rules. I won't be giving you my money if I don't know how I look with a certain style of frames, I left and went to another store. I understand there are restrictions but the rules need to be reasonable.
Unfortunately, I have been disappointed with the service and advice I received at the specsavers in Adelaide. My initial glasses were frameless and the junior shop assistant did not advice me that for my prescription they were not suitable. After that, one of the two had to be twice repaired during the first few weeks. I had to go several times before having them changed for a new pair. In that occasion once again I was not advised that a frameless glass is not the best option for my prescription despite I clearly said that I did not like the thickness of the lens in the frameless glass. Finally, I went to a specsavers store in Springfield central in QLD where Michele gave me all the advice and information and helped me to choose a better frame for my prescription. When I went back (within my 3 months satisfaction guarantee) to Adelaide again a very rude shop assistant asked me to pay the full amount to have the glasses planned with Michele. I had to complain to the store manager to have the situation rectified. I would not recommend this store in Rundle mall in Adelaide. Ivana
Terrible staff member ever!
Just coming in and a staff come out to serve me. It’s nothing to say if she did her job well. After I am seeing the optometrist, she’s serving me again. It’s ok until I showed her all the glasses I had chose online. She did not even try to looking for it and try to give me some other one which she can easily find in front of her face. I paid $199 for 2 pairs and she charged me $15 more for shipping fee (which is free delivery is more than $79). I am a bit rush so did not noticed to ask. Then, even more than 3 weeks, I had not received anything at all on my glasses and have to call up. They said my glasses already there for a week but they don’t know, can I come to the store to take it? How ridiculous! I lived in countryside that’s why have to pay for their nonsense shipping fee, they did not ask to refund it for me, even call me to come there and pick up.
Highly not recommend this store!
Regarding Rundle Mall, Adelaide:
Having ordered and paid for glasses, including postage to Port Lincoln on September 27th. 2021, I was informed the glasses would be received within two weeks.
Now 21st. October, WHERE ARE THEY?
Beautiful clean and spacious store, friendly staff. Thorough eye testing facilities - explained every step of the way. Would recommend this store to my friends and colleagues.
I was served by a marvellous staff member, James, he directed me to the most suitable frames, took the time I needed, exemplary service. '
Many thanks Rundle Mall
Really great experience here! Needed to get my frames adjusted and they came out feeling brand new.highly recommend:)
The staff are all really friendly, empathetic and eager to help. They have a great customer service system in place. I’ve only ever had really positive experiences over the past 4 years at this store for buying new glasses, maintaining/repairing old ones, and getting health checks.
Work in the CBD and the nose pad came off my specsavers (about 3 years old). Went in to ask for it to be stuck back on. Was served immediately (9am seems a good time to go there ;) and instead of sticking it back on, the assistant put on TWO brand new nosepads! Also tightened the hinges and polished the lenses clean. Winning:)
I got a bad pair of glasses due to my script not working with the frame. Had zero hassle getting it refunded and remade. Great help from the staff.
Very poor service. Served by a very judgmental woman who did not do a thorough check on my prescription which was done in another specsaver. Did not ask the right question and the supervisor was too lazy to help.
I recently went here to do an eye test. The optometrist was very friendly, but because of the Asian female staff, I had to wait more than a month to get my glasses. Because I clearly communicated to the Asian female staff that I would wear tinted glasses. However, two weeks later, I got a text message and went to find the glasses, but it wasn't the tint glasses I wanted, so I asked the staff, and the Asian female staff did not admit her fault and told me this. You said you want to make clear glasses. Then I clearly told the optometrist and the other staff that I would wear tinted glasses, but the asian female staff actions were rude, so I was very disappointed.
Customer service is great, along wi tth the price and great range from normal seeing glasses, sun glasses and safety glasses
Excellent service! From being met at the door to selecting glasses and the thorough optometry testing the experience was terrific! I can highly recommend the team at Rundle mall!
My glases develop manufacturing problem. I took them for warranty however they make up some stories how lens is scratched so becouse they find a mark I can not claim warranty for something completely unrelated! Don't spend your money in this store. Many other cheaper options with better service and warranty
Good, efficient customer service. Staff advised me of specials and helped me choose frames. I had a thorough eye health test and vision test. I waited just a week for them. I have a chronic eye problem and Specsavers have helped me in emergencies. I have not been disappointed by Specsavers.
