Sky Seafoods/Taste with Attitude

No trip to Robe would be complete without a stop for seafood. This place was great.we had a lovely lunch over easter.despite being a very busy weekend, the staff were friendly and service was quick. Who needs salad when the seafood is this good!

Delays expected on Good Friday. But 57mins to cook some fish and chips. Pretty lousy on that service. Everytime a local came by, the travellers food was pushed back in queue.thanks Mick they'd say. And Mick can only cook 1 order at a time, whether it be 4 packs o a single fish pack. It was all over cooked and full of grease and salt. The oysters had massive amounts of broken shell so not shucked very well. Goes to show the care not taken policy. $113 I should've spent elsewhere. Kids didn't enjoy it.
Save your money, time and stomach for 1 of the many places on the main street.
Wouldn't eat there again if it was free.

Was so looking forward to fresh lobster we bought this morning from sky seafood at Robe and so disappointed when we tried it-maybe frozen or cooked incorrectly- either way it was the most bland lobster we have ever had

Recently had fish, scallop, prawn & chip pack as takeaway. Unfortunately the batter on everything was quite thick & therefore stodgy & greasy, quite a shame at $36.00 for 2 packs. We would be hesitant to buy again

Forget all the paper guides and online itinerary suggestions for Robe. Just a visit to this lovely establishment will make your trip to Robe worthwhile. (I mean, make sure you buy or eat their produce as well, but that was a given). Like the other reviewer, if you are not a keen seafood eater, you might change your mind after trying their stuff, as they are guaranteed fresh.

The ladies serving us were also accommodating.

The lobster pie not worth $10, contained frozen veg and not much lobster TBH. Staff live up to their slogan and definitely have attitude.

Amazing lobster prawns oysters however the hot chips were very over cooked and oily. Otherwise an excellent takeaway seafood lunch with good service!

We had cooked lobster, it was fresh and price was resonable. The fish and chips were also very good and served in good quantity.

Thoroughly enjoyed the factory tour. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff who offered to prepare our fresh cooked lobster ready to feast on. First timers to Robe and we are enjoying the wonderful experiences. Thanks Sky Seafoods and Robe, we will be back.

Just had a cooked lunch, fish and chips from this so called fresh fish shop. The Ling fish we had was awful, tasteless and rubbery, and the chips were very average. This is the first time to have a cooked takeaway from here and it will definitely be the last.
I tell it how I see it, and taste it!

The lady at the font counter is very rude. Got greeted with “what do you want, ” and got responses such as “NO, ” quite loudly. Asked if share pack was enough chips for 2 people she replied “depends how much you eat. ” We would of been happy to pay more but so disappointed to open the box and see 12 chips.there are other reviews here suggesting staff are rude, perhaps management should stop replying stating that their staff aren’t, and implement more training.
Flake was nice however.

The freshest and most delicious crayfish I have eaten since I used to dive for them myself! Made for a fabulous dinner at the beach watching the sun set!

A ‘MUST’ to visit while in Robe. We experienced the very informative tour of the live lobsters in tanks and then dined at The Dock. The Seafood basket and the lobster platter we shared were amazing. Thanks to all the staff, you made our experience memorable.

Had a beautiful platter of lobster served with lemon wedges, cocktail sauce and salt and pepper. Ordered some scallops on the side as well which were lovely and sweet.

Fish was awesome, however the chips were non existent and the lady behind the counter was extremely rude. It was like we were bothering her by walking in the door.

Prefer the Pacific and Sydney rock oysters to the Coffin Bay oysters that are sold in Robe.
If purchasing from the fridge make sure you check the dates on the products.
I didn't check the date and the product was out of code which was disappointing considering i wanted to buy one of the fresh ones being tubbed up while i was there but was refused!

*! Fresh Seafood! * this is a factory outlet not a full service cafe. You can buy to take away or you can eat on the no frills tables out the front. The produce on offer all looked great. We had the lobster, which I’ve previously never been that fussed by, but I’ve never had one this fresh before. Now I’m a believer.

Had the freshest & tastiest scallops & oysters I’ve eaten. The lobster too was magnificent. Bought some Barra & had that for dinner the next night tasted great as I expected. We did buy a seafood basket & ate it there for lunch but unfortunately other than the fish & chips everything else was over cooked. The cook did mention it was a little overdone however if you stripped back the batter the seafood was great. Perhaps a small hot plate to cook as an alternative to frying everything to give customers an option?

Well what can I say I was thoroughly impressed by the fresh crayfish and the shop in general. We decided to have some fish n chips x 1 (2 pieces of fish)
And 2 Seafood baskets. We also bought 3 cans of Pepsi Max.
Pepsi Max tasted odd.we found the expiry date was Jan 2020.1 year past due date.
Fish n chips contained approx 12 tiny oil logged chips and the 2 fish were so small and oil logged.
The food had not sat to drain.just plonked into box
The 2 seafood baskets were the same oil logged and extremely small amount of chips.
The boxes were saturated in oil.
Sorry won't be going back $ 58 down the drain.
And we were the only customers so in my opinion no excuse for this.

Thank you for your reply. We did not know about the state of things as we did not open our food till we got to Long Beach.hardly walking distance to come back and complain.
