SKARA Greek Street Food

It was okay, i dont really like chunks of meat on a yiros though, personal preference.flavour was okay, I had the chicken yiros. I would have preferred to have been asked if I wanted chips on the yiros too because it was a bit mushy.advertised price was 15.00 for chicken yiros and was charged 16.30.maybe because it was a public holiday though. The pita bread was nice though, although a bit thicker than what im used to but I still liked it.

Quick friendly service I only got a coffee today but, will be back for some Greek food. Smells so good!

Food was good and fast! I ordered an open plate with lamb salad, bread and chips for 19 dollars and it was very good portion and very tasty. You could easily share that plate too.
There is seats outside and the ice cream shop next door is part of the same business so you can use the bathroom there.
Tables outside were a little bit dirty and messy but service was very good and friendly.

Better than anything you could eat on Santorini - and ten times cheaper too. A little gem on Semaphore Road.

Delicious food and generous portions. Lost one star because I asked for the order to be tweaked - ie no fries, extra salad and that unfortunately didn't happen.

Payed a visit to Skara. The owner was friendly, offered me a sample of the delicious meat. I ended up ordering a Combination Yiros which was delicious, and filling. Sorry, I was going to take a photo of the Yiros, but I ate it before I could take the photo. Worth a visit if you are in Semaphore!

Always reliably amazing food and service. Even during Covid restrictions this restaurant delivers! Highly recommend the chicken skewers:)

I wasn't very keen on the ice coffee I purchased it was icy and the ice cream wasn't fresh not a fan at all. The atmosphere was lovely.

First timers,
Tried a spread of their menu including.

Halloumi fries
Meat from the spit (pork and lamb)
Calamari
Prawn skewers
Chips
And a couple of beers (Sadly out of stock or corona)
This came in at ~$100

You know you've been to a good place when even the simple things taste good.
The Halloumi fries with a bit of lemon alone was exactly what a starter should be. Delicious leading you wanting more.

The Lamb from the spit was 100% what you would imagine it would taste like.

The prawn skewers had a nice marinade and you could tell they were fresh and cooked well.

The chips alone were better then many other chip shops out there.

The 2 things that in my eyes could have been better.

The Calamari which was similar to a standard salt and pepper squid at a bar was sadly solely let down by the fact it wasn't up to the high standards set by the rest of the courses.

(To be clear if we had have just ordered the Calamari we would have left happy)

The pork I think solely as it may have been end of line wasn't quite as good as the rest but If this was the low point dish then hence the 5 star review for the rest.

Lastly the lady running it (assumedly the owner)
Was just that, The kind of person that treats it like their own business and has that ability to provide service with a smile.

Can't wait to make a return visit

BEST YIRO's EVER.and the staff are super friendly and awesome. This will most surely be our new go-to place for Greek food.

The food here was delicious. I came here for lunch and was so impressed with the food and the fast service. I will be returning.

This place is not very well set out for a pleasant view during dining. They need fans on hot days outside since most of Their seating is outside!
There is no Vegan options.
The Vegetarian option is very unhealthy - haloumi cheese and chips Yiros with salads offered being tomato, lettuce and onion. With lots of sauces even if You don't ask. I left most of mine.
Definitely more of a place for ice cream and drinks.
Lots of families, not a Cafè crowd.
Not the cheapest place.

The best yiros I've found in Adelaide to date! I just can't go back from their big fluffy pita bread.sooo good.

Follow it up (after a breather, you'll be full), with ice cream scoops right next door (rum and raisin is a fave here) and you'll roll home thinking you might never need to eat again!

Whether you "dine-in" at the outdoor tables, or wander the jetty and the main streets, you'll enjoy the food and the local vibe.

Yiros was too bready, the pitta bread was too thick, the yiros was too dry, had chips in it when I hadn't asked for any. Disappointing considering it was a Grekk place. I think that Vasili's Taverna, a short drive away in Port Adelaide is much better.

Love this place. Always friendly staff, great food and affordable. Seating inside and out.
Close to the shoreline. Convenient to everything.

Best Yiros in Adelaide.
Was not happy to see management look after Uber eats
Customers before walk-in customers. 42 minute wait for food, while watching Uber eats orders take priority.
Look after your local's mate, and your walk-in customers before the Uber eats business. You might lose us. Please take this on board.
The best Yiros though, but is it worth a 40 minutes wait.

Rude staffs especially the owner and the cashier. Will never come back again even though the food is superb. Unacceptable attitude.

Interesting how the staff/owners use the closest disable park at their own leisure. One person unloading boxes of stock out of said car.support the ones that have been here since the beginning and don’t charge through the roof and make people sick. I won’t eat here anymore due to the feedback I’ve had. Appalling to see this today though. He might have a permit but this is taking the piss

The yiros is the best absolutely delicious the meat is so tender and juicy. We had combination pork and lamb open plate and we loved so worth the price and staff are so friendly and helpful. Definitely recommend them
