A great place for any type of function. The food was excellent. The beer was refreshing and from local Brewers. The wine was good and the staff were attentive and very friendly.

We opted for the 3 course menu and were overwhelmed by the feast that was to follow
The staff were perfect and we were treated so well, they are so efficient and funny, the timing our meals were perfect as were the different courses we all had

We had our Family Christmas lunch at Sidewood Estate today. Communication leading up to our booking was great and today was the perfect way to celebrate the year and Christmas with our loved ones. The food was beautiful and so much of it and the service by Georgia our waiter was exceptional. Thank you so much. 10/10! We will be back.

Lovely experience at Sidewood Estate. The food is consistently great and generous in size, and they have an excellent variety of wines (which are yummy too). This is a great addition to the Adelaide Hills and is a relaxing way to spend a sunny weekend. The service was also top-notch from Remy.
My only suggestion would be to recommend adding more fans on the deck and potentially changing the ceiling/roof material as it was very hot and radiated heat at only about 25 degrees. We will be back!

Beautiful set up. Food mostly great, except the gnocci which was way too dense. Everything else was excellent and highly recommended.

Food is great, service is great, but acoustics are shocking.
Everyone is shouting to be heard over everyone else.

A busy place with a good selection of food & drinks. Service was also polite & friendly. I think however I was overcharged and unfortunately didn't check the bill. I contacted Sidewood the next day but they not surprisingly didn't return my call.

Remy is a great waiter who really helped out my group with our lunch and drink service. Sidewood is a lovely winery and I would definitely recommend it to anyone.

The first place you see before you arrive in Handorf. Big place with plenty of space outside for eating and playing. Great to bring the kids, they have a good playground and a vast green area for running around.
If you want to have lunch in the restaurant you will need to book otherwise the outside bar have plenty of easy plates to share and have lunch and no need to book. The pizza and the dumplings were the best in our order! No much desert options outside but the ice cream is good enough.
Bring your blanket and seat by the grass in a good sunny day is definitely a good option.
Their wine is good and the variety of beers are just fine.

Went here for my sisters hens on a wine tour. Joanna was amazing and so helpful. She knew so much about all of the wines. Can't wait to come back!

Did a wine tasting and lunch here on a Sunday afternoon. Wine was excellent and reasonably priced - as was the food. My only negative (and it’s not even a negative) would be that we were told to come in 30 mins before our lunch and only managed to get half way through the tasting before lunch - the cellar door were happy to accomodate us after lunch to finish our tasting, but if I went again I would allow a bit more time for the wine tasting - it may have just been a busy day though!

The most impressive wines, food, restaurant, staff and facilities we have experienced in South Australia. If you're in the area and you're a food and wine lover. You must give yourself an afternoon here.

Fabulous place well set out. Good wine & food. Service for drinks was a bit slow. Definitely will go back & recommend it to others.

Delicious mother's day menu. The entrees were amazing, and plenty of them! We would have preferred the beef cooked a little more but it was still very tasty and both the desserts were full of flavour. Staff were all smiles and very helpful.

Very disappointing experience.
The cost per head for Dads 75th was something my parents have never entertained in their lives and due to recent health issues this was seen as a very special occasion for them.

Before committing I visited three times including having lunch there and made it very clear we had elderly guests and the absolute priorities were warmth and limited noise.

We had a table picked out next to the pizza oven which was on its own (private & less noise) + had strip heaters all the way along the wall so we settled on this. However When it came time to book we were told that table was actually booked but “not to worry they had another very suitable table with good heating in a quiet area”, this was far from the truth.

We were put out in the corner of the large outdoor patio area with a party of 10 and had one standing outdoor gas heater on one corner of the table that the oldies could argue over. Next to us were a table of young ladies enjoying cocktails that were high pitched and increasing in volume as more drinks flowed out. This made it hard to hear but we did our best. Shortly after arriving a table of approx 20-25 came in and there table boxed us into the corner, the noise was echoing, way too much and made it impossible to talk to anyone other the person right next to you.

This area could have accommodated 10 big tables and despite repeated requests for limited noise all three parties were dumped right on top of each other causing impossible noise and absolutely no social distancing which was incredibly important for health challenged elderly who need it most.

The night was made even worse as we played musical chairs in an attempt to talk to interstate siblings and then the kicker. The table we originally booked was never set, nor used!?

When it came to securing a booking many months before nothing was a problem and we were lied too about heating options being the same. Once the booking was locked we were not given what we agreed on.

It was supposed to be Dads last good experience with his siblings but instead the night was far from enjoyable as we did not get what was promised.

On a positive note, pizza was good food just Ok but the young table waitress was very good, when I confronted her about our original table not being used + the problems with lack of warmth and noise she was proactive moved us to the other table for dessert/coffee and did all she really could.

I believe they never had a booking for that table and just didn’t want us there for some reason. Full disclosure at time of booking is the right thing to do.

I know a $1500 booking it’s just another Saturday night for you but it meant the world to my parents as they splurged out like never before and were taken for a ride.

My wife and I had an incredible experience at Sidewood Estate! We had never done a wine tasting before and Serena was exceptionally knowledgeable, patient and genuinely friendly. We didn't feel rushed at all and were given an excellent list of other cellar doors to explore that was tailored to our interests and individual tastes. I could not recommend it more.
