Overrated: over-cooked and over-salted steak. Poorly-cooked, expensive dinner is what you get for your money. Save it for any other Japanese place in Adelaide.

Amazing! We came for a 5th birthday and it was everything we hopes it would be, the beef teppanyaki is so soft juicy and tender and the salmon was top notch. Everything we had was delicious and the service is perfect. The wine list is great, and had a fantastic glass of local merlot and a japanese beer. Can’t recommend this place highly enough, it was fantastic

Our service was great and all requests accommodated. We chose one of the banquets and although two other groups seated to our left and right chose different banquets it all seemed to flow smoothly, thanks to a quiet bet impressive chef "running the show". I'll just add here that we were running 10 minutes late, which is not a good idea fi e this type of dining, but they held back and were not thrown by that.

Food served quite quickly with very minimal waiting time. Staff is attentive and I caught them keeping an eye on me for empty dishes/plates and to usher in the next dish once I’ve finished the previous one. However, as more patrons started piling in, they start handing out all my dishes in quick successive order regardless of whether i’m Done with my food or not.

Shiki is a Teppanyaki style Japanese restaurant which means you all sit around a big hot plate and the chef cooks all your food in front of you. Flames and all! This just adds to an even greater experience and if you can somehow gather a group of 10 book your own table because I bet it would be a lot of fun.

I dined here for my birthday and damn it was an exceptional experience. Staff is fantastic, the fire theatrics are amazing and the food is delicious. I love teppanyaki! I highly recommend a dining experience at Shiki.

WOW! What a cool & unique experience to sit around a table in a semi circle with all of us facing the chef as he cooked right in front of us for those whom had ordered from the Teppanyaki menu. Some of our group had their meals cooked in the kitchen but I’m glad I knew that to have the chef cooking in front of us I had to order from the Teppanyaki menu. At first it was a little confusing trying to understand the menu but then we got the hang of it that you need to order your vegetables separate. For instance if you order the Barramundi- that’s all you will get on your plate so we ordered broccolini to go with it.
The staff were all very lovely and well poised. We were all mesmerised by the chef! Nice, tranquil atmosphere. Great location if going out somewhere else in the city after dinner.

Amazing food, great service. Went here for my sister's birthday, she had an amazing time and loved the food was full by the end of the night. You get to watch them cook the food in front of you.

High class dining, probably one of my favorite Adelaide restaurants and one of my top Japanese place in Australia. Great service and great food.

Great selection of Japanese beverages also, just wish they had more Japanese whiskeys.
