Semaphore Foreshore reviews
46Great place for a wander around and out on the jetty. Well kept area plenty of room to play and relax.
Semaphore at late sunset is deserted and quiet like a gentle muse. The white sand turns purple-pink in the twilight. The waves play peacefully with each other.
Walking on the beach, those waves gently whisper into my soul and remind me of a meaningful and worthy living life, a life in which we live empathetically, respect, and love each other instead of being unkind.
Update:
Some photos for a beautiful sunny day this Spring. Swimming while taking photos and seeing everyone relax in the warm spring sunshine is truly relaxing.
The Steam train cafe is excellent takeaway food and eat at tables there, staff are friendly a great atmosphere, Steam Train during weekends and school holidays, play ground right there and walk to the jetty and beach.
Such a calming beach. I love to just sit by the water and look out at the ocean.
Kids love to splash in the water
The water isn't that deep.
Went for a slow walk down to the end of the jetty with my daughter, partner and a friend on New Year's Eve and back.
It is a great place to stay. BUT. They need to do something about the shower in the ensuite we had.
This beach was so beautiful it's the first time our family has been to the beach in adelaide and my son absolutely loved it. We can't wait to go back again it is so clean and the water is so nice.
Such a wonderful family friendly foreshore. Playground, kiosk, the steam train and the carnival in the warmer months.
The little steam train adds 2 stars. It's fantastic
There are sideshows and it's a great spot for a walk.
Can get something to drink.
Go there, you won't be disappointed
Lovely beach and Jetty. Almost everytime I have visited there has been Pelicans sitting on the light pokes of the Jetty which is special
Beautiful! Real people, families, kids, dog walkers. Spoke to real people. Had a great view, fantastic! @

Potty some local boys take beer into sea and leave bottles in the water.
Very attractive area, plenty of shops in the high street. Worth a visit if you've not been there before.
Great place for a walk look in front and around you and you can discover a whole new world in front of your feet.
Great walk along excellent pathways
Cut into beach at multiple points
Jetty great
Sealife at times seals etc

Amazing sunsets
Always a pleasure at Semaphore. Wide clean beach. Great main street with an abundance of eateries.
Limited rides, train running, deli/shop open. 2 playgrounds. Then there is the jetty and beach.
There is plenty to do.
Definitely worth a visit.
Had to see the damage to the foreshore first hand, but I remember the Semaphore foreshore as a child with no sand dunes and a clean beach without the scrub.
Good food kios was open. Pleasant day. Friendly staff. Dog friendly while on leach most people did. Cooler than I suspected needed a jacket.
