I’ve never seen a fried version of mantoo on a menu before - you won’t regret ordering them! Friendly service, cosy atmosphere and great food. We couldn’t get over the size of the kebab plates - absolutely huge! The meat was so tender and tasty - yum!

The staff are very friendly, the chef came out to see how we were enjoying our meal. Great interaction. Food was delicious & appealing to the eye. Big serves of food!
Recently renovated with new interior. Been there twice, will definitely be back.
Offers a BYO service for wine. Family friendly.
Fabulous Afghan food.

Average food but below par service. Ordered a take away meal did not get what we actually asked and paid for. Called them back thrice to raise the concern but no one answered. No covid safe protocols followed in kitchen noticed it while picking up the order

I came here tonight for a meal with my family before going to Masjid. As an Afghan restaurant with a picture of a place of worship on the wall, I was very surprised to see the table next to us drinking wine. And then I look around and there are 3 other tables of people drinking excessive amounts of wine. I overheard the woman behind the counter tell a customer that they do not sell alcohol there, but customers can bring in their own alcohol if they pay $30. This is disgusting. As a Muslim, I thought this would be a comfortable environment to bring my family for a meal, we choose to eat at restaurants run by Afghan's because there is never any alcohol around. This was a shock to see and I am appalled. Do better or take down the picture of the mosque if your target audience is Muslims because it made my Muslim family very uncomfortable being surrounded by alcohol while trying to enjoy a meal. It is such a shame that the food was good because we will never be returning, unless the restaurant owner starts to do better. Remember this dunya is temporary brothers and sisters.

I have been going to The Rumi Palace for a few years now, and so taken with the food I even followed them to Prospect after being in Norwood. The cuisine is authentic, and home cooked. The flavours are fresh and exciting made up of wonderful subtle zesty combinations of lemon, coriander, tomato amd green chilli flavours contrasted against refreshing Persian soup and Afghan, saffron scented rice and lightly spiced meats and vegetarian mantu dumplings laced with a drizzle of yoghurt. This super healthy and delicious food is incorrigibly delicious!

Fantastic flavours! Friendly service. Generous portions. Clean restaurant. We ordered the Ashak (Afghan fried dumplings), Mantoo (Afghan lentils dumplings), Borani Banjan (Afghan eggplant), and the Mixed Kebab. Bread came with the eggplant dish

Food is absolutely delicious.
Prices are excellent, and food portions are big and filling!
Staff is friendly.
Whenever I want to have a “home cooked meal” I definitely have a craving for that place! Will be back again and again:)

If you like afghani food, this is the place to go. The staff are beyond friendly, food was incredible with great range of veggie and meat choices. It’s a really good place for some comfort food.
Definitely worth going and enjoying some afghani food!

Delicious Baghali polo, of course, that dish didn't have much broad bean (based on its name it should have) but the taste was good and friendly staff and good atmosphere. Recommend

We went to Rumi Palace and I have to say it was the worst experience we had at a restaurant till date.

We order 2 x  chicken tikka and mince kebab with kabuli rice, requested warm bread with a soup to share.

The soup came it was medium temperature not that hot flavour was nice though.

After 20 minutes, our mains arrived and we realised there was a mixup with the rice it was plain rice and we ordered kabuli.

We asked the waitress so respectfully and politely and she apologised and took our plates and I asked her for the bread she said she will bring it. After 15 mins she brang back our plates and as I took my first bite the food was so cold like it wasn't fresh at all. My husband was getting too hungry and he didn't want to wait another 15 minutes. However, I explained to the waitress that our dishes are cold she looked at us and eyeballed us. I asked politely she can warm up my plate in the microwave and I didn't ask for a new replacement.

Another 10 minutes later she brang back my plate a little warmer not that much difference between the inital plate. I was just so disappointed so I didn't even bother at this point we were still waiting for a warm bread and my husband by now had finished his meal.

I was half way into finishing my plate and the waitress brings the bread! Like what's the point your meant to bring the bread with the mains not when we nearly done eating. Anyway, didn't say anything cause I was just so disappointed of the service so far. As I work in customer service and reputation and service is apart of any business and especially if a business wants to grow they need to do the right things and respect their customers and deliver good service and food. Anyway, as I went to get the bread that the waitress brang and it was freezing cold!

I was so disappointed again I went up to the counter and I asked the waitress we waited for warm bread and this bread is freezing cold like it just came of the freezer. She looked at me and giggled and said oh sorry we busy that's why we couldn't warm it up!

I was like what well ok but that's terrible customer service. Anyway  like I'm sorry what who says that to customers? This is a business you own don't you care about reputation or customer service.

I was just so shocked on what she said. Instead apologising for all the things that they did wrong with our order. Yet, she says that.

I just cannot believe how a restaurant can serve food this cold and treat customers in this way? Honestly, coming from a customer service background and from experience at other restaurants with great service they have offered. I don't know who the owner or the chefs are but I really do recommend you's lift up your customer service and the quality of your food with how fresh it is before yous serve it to customers.

Like we paid for all the cold food we got served and the bread that we didn't even eat or get as well. When really as a business you should know better. The waitress could have said since the bread you never got we won't charge you or/and apologise for the multiple errors that occurred with our order. Nothing came out of her mouth yet, as a good human being we still said thank you and stacked the plates on the table for her to take when really I bet not all customers would say or do this after such a horrible experience.

And on a positive note, the food would have had so much flavour only if it was hot but because it was cold the flavour was just so limiting.

Definitely not going back to this place after that time.

I really like this place. Lovely people presenting tasty food at great prices. No alcohol list but they're happy to provide wine glasses if you BYO. We've been several times and they have never disappointed.

First time tried Afghan cuisine and its absolutely mind boggling experience. Ambience of the restaurant was amazing. Nicely decorated with great sitting arrangements. Clean and hygienic place. Amongst all of dishes we ordered fried dumplings and palak subji was super delicious.

The service was very poor. We waited for our food for over an hour and when we got the food it was cold and tested as left over. The food was very expensive for the quality. Will never go there again and not recommending it to anyone else.

A fantastic restaurant all round - great staff, fantastic food and nicely decorated. Highly recommend this Afghan restaurant. One of the best in the Adelaide metro area. Two of my favourite dishes (Aash soup and Mantoo dumpllings) were both sensational. We also had their mixed kebabs and salmon dishes and both were equally good.
