Ruby Red Flamingo

Very disappointed we went there because of the great reviews and colleague recommendations. From the 5 mains none of us enjoyed them.
The risotto was gluggy and very oily, could finish it, the palenta was dry but the sauce was tasty. The only enjoyable dish was the arancini which was delicious.
Wouldn’t recommend or visit again.

Good food and service. Interior is a bit tired but functional. Recommend the banquet option if you are dining in a group. It's very good value for money.

This Restaurant is excellent the food was delicious and beautiful.

Lorenzo who works there has a great personality and is very good with customers and the service is best I have ever seen, I reccomend to have a meal there.

Visited for the first time with a couple of friends and it was an amazing experience. Absolutely stunning space and exceptional food! We started with a round of drinks (Ruby on the Beach, Negroni, Blood Orange Margarita) which were delicious and then went straight into the pasta. We got two pastas, the Duck Ravioli and the Gnocchi Gorgonzola with a side of roasted potatoes and the portions were huge and super delicious. And with the chilli it was next level amazing! We couldn’t leave without having dessert, usually we go for tiramisu at any Italian restaurant but we tried the dessert special which was the Open Cannolo and it was heaven! Absolutely loved everything about this place and will definitely be back to try some of the other amazing dishes. Thank you for a great meal and lovely service. ️️

We had ordered few items on 9/12 from uber eats for dinner. The rest food were fine however. My partner had Fettuccine Ragu. After having it, within half an hour my partner started vomiting and he is very feverish and had many vomiting episodes all night. He still hasn’t fully recovered.
My partner suspects its the turkey minced in it.
It was food poisoning.
We wrote them in social site so they know but didn’t got any reply!
I really am worried how the other people with low immunity is gonna go through it if they had it instead of my partner.
It was our first time ordering from here and it was a really bad experience. Please put time for food quality!

The pasta is absolutely incredible! Hands down the best in Adelaide, my personal favourite were the mezze maniche and the agnolotti the location is very interesting and the staff were helpful and super friendly.

Really disappointed with the mains pastas … too large, stodgy and cafe standard at best.staff were attentive generous and very good, but we expected more from the dishes.cant go back

My partner and I normally LOVE going to this restaurant. It’s such a good feed with great prices.
I had to reduce the stars on the review tonight because of the dining experience. There was a very large group of ladies who dined indoor, and they were RIDICULOUSLY loud. There were maybe 3 other couples sitting closely next to their table as well (because of such a small room) and I could see how annoyed everyone was. It really wasn’t a pleasant experience.
I feel as though the staff at Ruby Red should’ve said something to them or should have arranged the seating better.

Haven’t been here for a little while now, and was overall disappointed in this experience.

All in all a solid, traditional Italian restaurant experience.
There was 18 of us so we had a banquet -style repast consisting of 4 courses (entree, pasta, main and dessert) all chosen by the chef.
The good - The pasta was great. Crab spaghetti and paccheri with eggplant - both excellent. Dessert also good if slightly cliched - tiramisu and a molten chocolate cake of some description that was very rich and very good.
The average - the entree arancini was good and obviously just made. The pancetta with mozzarella was good but not particularly inspiring. The mains were probably the least impressive - the scotch fillet in particular was very ‘well done’.
Having said all that the food was plentiful and most of us were full by the time we got thru the pasta course, and there weren’t any long gaps between courses - which I think is pretty good for a group of that size.

Came here for dinner with 7 people.

The service was on point. Super friendly and helpful staff.

Now the star of the show was the banquet!
3 starters, 2 pastas and 2 mains.
We got to pick and share with everyone.

The octopus carpaccio was divine!
Highly recommend the crab spaghetti.
The steak and barramundi was cooked to perfection!

Can’t wait to come back and try the other items on the menu!

What a great location. (I origionally walked passed. I thought it was a event at the church) Food came quickly - and was scrumptious. Staff were really efficent and friendly.

If I could give this zero stars I would. I made a late booking on a Saturday afternoon (a bit after midday) for 8: 30 that evening. That booking needed to be cancelled but was done so as promptly as possible - more than 3.5hrs before our reservation time. I was charged $20 regardless.
Having worked in hospitality, I completely understand the need to have a policy that protects the establishment from lost revenue due to no-shows, particularly in peak times, and particularly in this COVID era. But the fact I was able to make a reservation at roughly midday for that same evening suggests I wasn't denying anyone a table, and I provided ample opportunity for that table to be refilled. You've lost me as a customer.

Don’t expect to book for 7pm on a Saturday night. Two Sitting, either 530pm or 8pm. Disappointed!

Amazing food and service, food just about flies out of the kitchen so can serve as a great quick bite before heading to the city

I really recommend this place. Food is well served, quick and delicious.
The service there is just amazing! I will definitely be back

Overpriced, terrible service and have no idea how make a cocktail.
And even pay a fourture for table water.
Will not return
