Port Elliot Bakery reviews
76The Port Elliot bakery is nestled in the heart of the beautiful seaside town. Take a stroll along horseshoe bay after enjoying a pie and cake from the bakery. The quality is fabulous and the service, great.
Has to be one of the best bakeries I have been to anywhere in Australia. Great food, lovely staff and location. Lunch here is a perfect end to a morning of surfing at Middleton.
Absolutely phenomenal, the donut of the month the Snickers was sensational a great use of caramel cream with nuts and chocolate. I would also recommend the pie of the month the chili mince pie which is a tasty filling and a great texture to the pastry. Would definitely return to discover the next bakery goods of the month in the future.
Dont think there is anything negative to say. Such amazing food, no matter what you like. They cater for the vegans and gluten free as well. The wait is definitely worth it.
A wide range of cakes, pastries, and a huge range of baked savory pies, pasties and specialist goods available. Have a food or dietary requirements, many products are egg free, vegetarian and vegan. This bakery hardly needs my recommendation, the volume of lunch time customers speak for itself.
There is undercover tables and chairs available, plus a large picnic bench area right next to the store under shady trees. Hot tea and coffee plus the usual wide range of cold drinks is also served
Only drive past didn't have time to call in. As usual a very long line. Have been before and products great
Awesome food. Great pies
Great policy
Good coffee
Good view
Good service
Good cakes and pastries
We ate the pie of the month and it lived up to its name
U can't go to Goolwa / McLaren Vale / port Elliott and not Goto this bakery
Best small business in town
Drove from the northern suburbs of Adelaide for a pie and a donut. Worth it. Also discovered horseshoe bay because of this journey. Pretty happy with the trip.
The overall experience is good but isnt a good bakery to sit down at. There are a lot of people. The lineup is long on weekends but staff get through it pretty quick. Store is clean and the prices are similiar to other bakeries. The food is always fresh and tasty.
I've been coming here forever for the world's best chocolate donuts. Today I got a flat white that could compete with the best. Love this icon of the south coast.
This bakery gets a 5 star rating for doughnuts alone. They do a donut of the month special flavour. Always amazing and always indulging. Great selection of the usual bakery fair with fresh sandwiches and rolls availible. Pretty decent cup of coffee but are very busy at peak times so get in early to avoid crowds. The busy vibe of the place is a testament to how good it is!
Especially in summer you *will* queue for service. But it's so popular for a good reason. And the staff and super fast and friendly.
Very tasty mushroom pie with some chunky meat. No need for delicious sweet red sauce on this one, it was full of lovely gravy and good to go.
One of my favourite places when visiting Port Elliot. I do love their Steak Pie but it does need a little more salt/ pepper in at as it can be bland. Love the donuts and other pastries. They always try something new. The Black Forest donut was to die for. -note they did not burn the pie. I picked it up early morning and put in oven later in the day. Theirs are always cooked perfectly
I was recommended to go here, does not disappoint. Be prepared for the queue, everyone has heard about this place!
This is a seriously good Bakery. Positioned on North Terrace, it gets a huge flow of passing traffic, which they seem to manage with calm efficiency.
A big range of goods baked fresh every day.
There has been a Bakery operating from this site for over 100 years. They seem to know what they are doing.
I recommend stopping and enjoying one of lifes little pleasures - a pie.
