Port Elliot Bakery reviews
76The doughnut of the month for December was Pavlova. It was excellent. Light and fluffy, delicious and worth the $7.25 price. I wish I could come back to try another flavour next month. The queue wasn't too bad when I was there at 10am, but there were a lot of people outside eating baked goods. The seating options are pretty slim.
Service was quick. There was a queue out the door but it moved quickly. After all the hype we were very disappointed. We spent $84 on pies, pasties, a sausage roll and doughnuts and cakes.
The pie was soggy, the pastie was bland, the sausage roll was fantastic.
The bee sting was terrible and the doughnuts were rubbery. Do not get the chocolate one. It has a terrible after taste.
Definitely not worth the hype or the wait.
Nice bakery. There is a donut of the month. This time was a Wagon Wheel Donut. Looked nice. The service was ok, not very personable but he didn’t really seem to want to be working. I had a finger bun, very delicious. I found the bakery to be a bit pricey. The outside tables were very messy and food scraps all over them. I will come back
It’s excellent the service is great, doubt if the day is always good. It’s worth the 1 and half hour drive.
Love the selection of pies and pasties. They are filled with meat and not to much pastern. Great selection for the sweet tooth.
Very nice coffee and hot chocolate.
If you are nearby stop for a take away.
This Place is unbelievable I always take a trip out to get the donut of the month, everything from this bakery is absolutely amazing, and yes I've tried everything from Port Elliot bakery.
Beautiful paper steak pie! Amazing Vanilla slice! Strongly recommend this bakery. You can see every item is freshly baked.
Amazing donuts of the month, friendly staff, tasty coffee, always a well presented store with display cabinets full of goods
Not a big fan of their standard offerings but their donuts of the month are amazing!
Pictured is the aero with choc hazelnut ganache mousse
Quite a good vegan pasty but unfortunately it was the only savoury vegan item on the menu.would love to see the vegan curry pie again (or just more vegan options in general!)
Port Elliot Bakery. Nuff said. Chunky steak pie and a jam donut. There's a reason there's queues out the door everyday. Excellent service and the food is second to none.
Never had to line up out the door at a bakery, but well worth it. Classic meat pie and the donut of the month. Strawberry Shortcake Donut
Would give 5 stars but the lady wouldn't give me sauce. I asked for sauce and she put one small blob on my sausage roll.like I was yearning for more sauce halfway through for roll and unfortunately it just didn't taste good. Suggest you add two blobs next time so maybe your next customer would be satisfied. Peace and love
This was the bakery in the way back to home I tried the chicken pasties and vegetable pasties were great in taste and the doughnut were great in taste as well the coffee was normal not that good.
Drove all the way from Adelaide to bring my nieces for a surprise birthday donut of the month. Shop wasnt busy and the owner was very rude, We were in the middle of deciding and we were there for not even a minute "can you please move to the side" yet the people before were in the way.was very abrupt and no customer service skills.won't be returning
Port Elliot bakery is okay, but it gets a lot of hype when the food tastes like any other bakery. They only have 1 vegan option, a pasty (surprise surprise) …and it is nothing to write home about. If you’re passing by and hungry, go I guess, but it’s not worth going out of your way for (or waiting in a long line for).
An awesome little bakery with very friendly staff. The donut of the week is enough to warrant a visit but they also have lots of other delicious pastries if you want something savoury.
This bakery is alright but nothing special just like any other bakery, doesn’t live up to the hype.
Lamb and Rosemary pie doesn’t compare to the Coromandel valley bakery!
There wouldn't be a half a kilometre line up if the food was terrible. This place is the Mecca of all bakeries. Do yourself a favour and get the doughnut of the month. Will not disappoint.
Oh lord give me strength not to return for a third day. The best bakery I have been to in a long time
