Get amonst their pies & pasties and their cakes and the donut of the month enough to make the the mouth water just thinking about it damm, highly recommend A+
Pastry very undercooked, flavour profiles no good. Three of us ate here and none of us enjoyed the pastry or what was within, don't waste your petrol.
This is our favourite bakery we always stop in for a apricot turnover. We have had many of their cakes and they are all fantastic.
Pies are great but completely put off by one of the female staff members. Was rude to my mother simply because she’s looking and trying to pick a dessert pie after making her savoury selections. The shop was not busy at the time, in fact we were the only ones in there. I would understand if the shop is packed or a customer is taking ages making up their mind but even so, it definitely did not warrant such rude behaviour from the staff.
Had a great pie and apple turnover. Place was busy at 1200 but there were plenty of people serving. Went to Port Elliot lookout foil kept pie hot. Observed others at lookout with bakery's bags. Will do this again soon.
Great, old style country bakery with all sorts of wonderful, tasty delights.
Friendly, cheerful staff.
Relaxed atmosphere.
Great coffee.
Highly recommended.
Cheers, Q.
I can't say I understand the craze around this bakery. The pies are good and the deserts are good but nothing extraordinary. Also, the line is always considerably long (at least on the weekend or holidays). If you're keen for some good pastries and don't mind a wait, by all means go here.
I Love it, as do most who are lined up there every weekend for their fresh, delicious baked goods.
Vegies in Pasties cooked to perfection, not have d n crunchy, pastry always crispy & nice to bite into (not hard or soggy) Staff are v friendly, helpful, know their products, patient & I love the 'Coffee Window Service'.
One of the best local businesses
Disappointing, with all the hype and feedback surrounding the Port Elliot Bakery i expected to be blown away with the best tasting pies/pasty/sausage rolls in Australia.
Hmmm, the food was nice (tried the pie, pasty, sausage roll and pastries/cakes), but was it the best I've ever had? No. Did it live up to the hype? No.
Great little bakery, gets absolutely packed on weekends and public holidays. So if you can, try to come here on a weekday, i did and there was no queue!
Amazing bakery, the lines out the door say it all, would be better if there were more seats out side, we often grab our food and head down to the beach and find a bench or patch of grass to sit on.
Spectacular pies, filling was meaty and high quality. The Lamb & Rosemary was particularly good, the Pepper Steak was so rich in flavour we were happy we were sharing. Purchased the Peanut Butter & Jam donut - FABULOUS. Visited on a quiet afternoon, queue wasn’t a problem.
By far the best bakery I've ever been to. Some incredible options. Delicious food. Througherly enjoyed my it must be amazing when I was there for over an hour and the line was out the door and down the street the entire time. Absolutely amazing. Worth a visit 100%
Best tasting pies and bakery delights you can get anywhere. Reasonably priced and just amazing quality with good efficient service.
Excellent customer service, great food for less expenses. But it's too crowded on weekends. Not to mention the beach front nearby to enjoy the food. Definitely a thumbs up from me
Every time we come extremely disappointed. Soggy pies and flavourless pasties. Overpriced for the quality to say the least. Only thing keeping them going is the pathetic donuts they have which again overpriced and disappointing.
Fantastic bakery but the quiche needs to be ready earlier than 10am judging by the number of people including us trying to have one for breakfast. Honey sticks still amazing.
Nice pies and donuts, if a bit pricey. If only they did a chicken and mushroom pie I may consider a 5 star review.
Excellent for pies. A very well known and a busy bakery that was established in 1860 (I guess).
There is a queue but moves pretty fast.
Such a popular bakery, a lot of times there's such a que to get in, never mind getting served. If you are willing to wait, it's well worth it. Great service and great people.
Can't go past the Pt Elliot bakery on a trip down south. Start with a Spinach and Cheese Quiche and finish with a donut:)
