Platos Greek Chargrill reviews
59First ever yiros! I must say I’ve been living under a rock. Extremely delicious and full with flavour and the homemade sauce is the cherry on top.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing food, the serving sizes are massive and you definitely get your moneys worth, will come back many times!
Food was great. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the chips were the best ones I've ever had. Nice and crunchy. Loukoumades were sweet and crunchy and the Turkish delight was great. Staff were also super friendly and great people.
Unfortunately i had the lamb salad pack with chips and was extremely disappointed. The meat was well over cooked and then reheated with the taste of heavy oil. The salad was literally cabbage with brown onion.no salt, no dressing, just raw. Tzatziki tasted like Greek yoghurt straight out the tub. For $25 it's not acceptable. Wouldn't rush back.
Had lunch with a friend there today. I ordered the salt and pepper squid which was delicious as were the chips (nice and crunchy), as for the village salad it had no olives or capsicum which was disappointing for me. The lamb dish was lovely and tender. I will be back. Lovely little place with a relaxing atmosphere.
BEST Greek food in Adelaide. I do not know what some of these negative reviews are about, not only is Steve a gentleman but the food is the most authentic and delicious greek food in Adelaide. It’s home cooking, like I’m eating at Yia Yia’s. He’s always treated me and my family with RESPECT. Yiasouuuu.
Greek takeaway with an awesome options list, I never get anything from here I haven't enjoyed.
Edit: still amazing in 2023 keep up the awesome work legends
THIS IS THE REAL DEAL
Family business worth supporting.
Plato's is food poetry. Taking a lot to impress me lately in this world & I left totally elated. I enjoyed the magnificent Poseidon. Beautiful warm toasty flat bread encasing whiting & the most delicious chips.
How can simple fare taste that brilliant? The family obviously take great pride in their reputation & are passionate about Greek traditional foods. I wouldn't bother going anywhere else in Adelaide for this style of food.
Never received food.
Called up and told it was not their fault.
Now out of pocket.
What a bunch of precious little snowflakes there are leaving reviews on this fine establishment.
Maybe stay at home and stick to getting gouged by ubereats?
Nice spot
Great food
Came out quick
Haters gonna hate
I'm a regular here and as much as I hate to tell Steve his food is regularly really good. It's not the cheapest place to purchase a yiros but certainly one of the better ones.and for me the most convenient.
My go to item is the plate of lamb with chips and Greek Salad.good drop of Tzasiki and hot chilli.
The lunch special Chicken Yiros is really good, I like it when Steve cooks the chicken just a little extra and you get a smokey flavour. The Pitas are more like pillows than the wafer thin wraps other places dish up. I'm not convinced one way or the other really but if you are used to thin, mix it up and have a taste of Platos.
There are some often overlooked items on the menu the meat free yiros (Green Greek & Haloumi) options in particular deserve a look in - the vegetarian members of my family that have become fans over the years. For a lighter meal I sometimes go for the prawn souvlaki or loukaniko.
Whether its the Greek music playing softly in the background, the delicious food or Steve's philosophical teachings I'm often drawn to this place like a child to the pied piper when lunch time rolls around.definitely worth a visit
The best Greek food I've had in Adelaide! Steve is very hospitable and experienced. The meats are cooked very well. Flavours and aromas took me back to Greece.
Amazing food. All made in house. Best tasting garlic sauce around! The chips are crispy but so soft and fluffy on the inside.
After collecting my Artworks at the Walkerville Artshow I invited my brotherly friend to this little place to dine-in.
OWNERS/STAFF: delivered their service behind and beyond normal! VERY positive experience from entering the premises to leave!
FOOD: we decided for Moussaka. Taste and presentation were excellent, so the service! It
I have to mention that is was the first time that I got my salad change when I forgot to inform of my allergy to raw onions. Thank you so much that I had not to miss out on this beautiful crispy, fresh salad
EXTRAS: I couldn't withstand to buy each their sweets offer and comming home it was to tempting to taste them, many OMG's were to hear as they are tasting so as my mother baked them!
We want be visiting this place again when we are in the Walkerville area!
Absolute garbage service and behaviour. The owner does not know how to speak to people and be nice, extremely rude and condescending.
A. B box tastes below average. The meat was a bit dry. Serving size could improve, considering its around $24!
Very rude called up to order and arrived waited they spoke with me about my order 30 min still waiting customers ordered while I was waiting and they got there food before me when we asked about our order they said we didn’t pay. They never said anything about paying then said he can’t do our order.definitely lost a customer. Then drove around the corner to Sammy’s fish and chippery who were about to close and still took our order. And cheaper! Say NO to Plato’s
I walked into this place today and was warmly welcomed by a friendly and courteous gentleman! He was patient while I perused, and happy to help when I had a question. Took my food home but the dining section looked cosy and I enjoyed reading the hanging quotes while I waited (5mins max).
Delicious food! Loved the fish yiros and spanakopita - hot and fresh! Grab some Turkish delight while you’re there, too. Thank you Plato’s.
Decent portion sizes however $29 for 2 souvlakia, some chips, 1 piece of pita bread and a small salad is too expensive. I don't mind paying a little extra if the food is excellent, however the lamb was quite chewy and not properly cooked, plus the chips were far too salty.
Excellent we ate in and left the menu to Steve and staff.
Great food, too much, doggy bag taken home.
There take out service was very busy with customers who were regular's.
Thank you all
