Pho Khang's reviews
71The best beef pho I've ever had. Delicious we drive a long way just to go here. Combination beef is my favourite.
You Should removed your phone number, because I called that number 10 times for order but nobody answers the phone.
Got our meals, finished eating, and still didn't get our drinks. We were not at all happy
Pho Khang amazing!
I was feeling hungry.wanted somthing to eat. Pizza? Nahhh. Burgers.nahhh, Vietnamese roll, Heck yess take my money.got myself the combo and what can I say. It was Pho Khang good.
Generous portions of meat for Pho
Good broth. Good rice dishes
Service is ok.
Sometimes tables are too dirty
Restaurant always dirty now
They never clean the tables in a timely manner
Even when they are not busy like right now 2 staff are not doing anything and there are 3 dirty tables with dirty dishes everywhere
The service has gone downhill and so has staffs atire
I am a little hesitant on the rating. I am feeling 3.5-4 stars here.
The customer service has always been good.
I think the pricing is quite standard and not too pricey.
The inside spacing is simple and decent.
The cleanliness is not too bad
Some days they are definitely better than the others, hence the rating. I mean I could be craving a pho and then I end up very disappointed and then come back for a quick fix and they meet my expectations and I finish the bowl. So it really depends on the day I feel.
The specialty drinks as well, sometimes no flavour at all to having the perfect amount.
I am judging base on their freshness, how well it has been cooked, flavour, service, portions and presentation too. So yeah really depends on the day (+feedback from others I am with)
I mean this is not always my first choice when it comes to mind of finding a Vietnamese Restaurant, but it is usually the resort by distance at the time or someone wants to come here for something specific and then you just hope that it hits the spot.
The food we ordered taste great. Generous portion too. The menu list seems less than before coz I could not find my usual order.
The whole place needs thorough cleaning. I don’t know if they were short staff but upon entering the restaurant there were 3 tables that have not been cleaned despite not being busy that time. High chairs look filthy & I found 2 dead flies at the window sill. By the looks of the place, I had to make a thorough wipe of our cutleries just to make sure its clean. The server/cashier did not even put any effort to act friendly or acknowledge a response or even a fake smile when we said Thank You. It’s like he hates his job. Such an opposite experience compared to our previous visits coz the servers we had met have always been nice and friendly.
I had given a phone to argue in the beginning of our dinner with the manager that had just left, by the staff. Below standard. Easiest way to discribe our experience is, imagine ordering a banana, and recieved oranges. In all the years of dinning out, I've never had to return a food back to the kitchen. It was a. Cut a long story short, We had to leave the venue, soon after. They've given us $25 refund, on our way out, after arguing. I would've been happier with baked beans on toast.
I gave this place a great review before, but after returning 3 months since my last visit it's gone down hill.
Half the beef in the pho was fat off cuts. The BBQ pork is filled with bones.
They have a minimum spend per person of $13, the staff even made me aware I can not eat here unless that is met, but I already promised my parents we would eat here, so had to up the cost.
They are obviously under new management, using cheaper ingredients and increased prices, no stopping here for a snack.
I'm sad to take this off my list of places I eat at.
I think everyone knows as on a Saturday lunchtime they only have 3 tables of customers, I think they dug their own grave.
Some time when you go into a store and you say hello to the staffs no one pay attention to you.
Wait wait and wait for they come to you to let you order. Poor customer service
Since we were first introduced to this restaurant some 4 yrs ago and for the first 3 yrs it was fantastic not only in food but cost as well. Not sure if its changed hands and to be honest it's is not to the same standard as it was, also the cost of meals have gone up considerably.
Unfortunately driving from the Barossa valley and the food and cost either going up and not to a standard we will be looking for another restaurant to visit.
If you have big cravings for MSG, here is the place to visit! The borth was full of MSG. My whole mouth and throat were so dried up afterwards.
Guy with the glasses taking orders couldn't understand this order "small wonton soup with egg noodle please" and had to call someone over to help him. I sat down and waited and waited and two Vietnamese men walked in and ordered soup which they got before me, almost straight away. My table was full of empty soup bowls and leftovers and empty plates and someone came and refilled all the cutlery and just left it sitting there. I went to ask if they had forgotten my order "oh no. I am making it now. ". My soup came but they didn't clear the table, so I asked them to clear it please, which they weren't too happy about, so in the end I changed tables. You sure know how to make a person feel unwelcome! The soup was good but the service has left a bad taste in my mouth. I usually go and do a fair bit of shopping in the Vietnamese super market next door, but will probably just give the whole thing a miss from now on.
I had a combination rice noodle salad for my dinner tonight and OMG WOW! It would have to be the best noodle salad I have had.
Plenty of everything and the serving was huge!
Great value for money
Good fresh food lived the pork roll with chilli, makes a trades lunch complete.
To the owner can you please stock non alcoholic beer in your fridge.
These will sell
Dearest noodle bowl ever all beansprouts no noodles tiniest bit of chicken. $16.00 for salad. Won't go there again, and very rude girl.
$50 for two bun bowls a spring roll and ice coffee. Takeaway
Waited 45 minutes for the bloody food as I’m writing this I still haven’t got it.and watched the boy with glasses run his hands through his hair and then touch food without washing hands or with gloves. They then gave me my ice coffee that was filled with ice and probably 20mls of coffee
Would’ve given minus star if I was able to. We ordered 3 dishes: pho combination beef noodles, spicy beef noodles and combination rice noodles.
The Pho beef noodles and spicy beef noodles were salty but still edible.
However, the soup came with the combination rice noodles was extremely salty to the point that I thought it was literally SEAWATER.
The rice noodles were pretty hard to chew and not properly cooked so I asked the waitress to put it in microwave to make it a bit softer. When the waitress brought my bowl to the kitchen, the main cook (apparently also the owner) of the shop was yelling: it’s supposed to be that chewy, how can I make it softer!? I’m 100% Vietnamese, born and raised in VN for so many years, been to hundreds Viet restaurants so please don’t teach me how a Vietnamese dish should taste like.
The cook eventually still did something to make it softer, but turned out the rice noodles became just too soggy to eat. I feel like they did it in purpose!
Definitely would never come back nor recommend it to anyone!
It was ok. We're from Melbourne so we know how spoiled we are when it comes to food. A little overpriced and food wasn't spectacular but it was bad either.
