Peel St reviews
87Very friendly staff with exceptionally tasty food. Fusion of flavours popped in your mouth! Had a great night.
One of the best meals I have ever had. This little hole in the wall is a sea Saturn on its own. The service was on point - best I have received in a while. The atmosphere was a hive of activity. If you like a quiet relaxing place then this is not for you. The food was brilliant, such an exquisite combination of flavours that exploded with every mouthful. I wish I could eat more so I could try more dishes - I will just have to keep coming back.
So very good, ordered grilled market fish it was a stunning meal. I had char grilled whiting with a side of grilled lemon, served with hummus dip covered in salmon roe, baked kipfler potatoes. For me the salty combination of the roe and dip with the juice from the lemon on the fresh fish was awesome. It had salsa verdi a blend of basil, parsley coriander and other fresh herbs. The marriage of flavour works, peppercorns popping in your mouth and it’s superb crunch on fish and baked potato was impressive. Added touches of informed staff and cloth napkins this venue is a enjoyable place to visit.
Food is delicious. The 'feed me' menu is the way to go. Generous servings and great selection.
Excellent food with signature dishes with great quality and flavor. The street is packed on the weekend, really cool.
Nice ambience with excellent service and delicious food.
Just a bit challenging to find roadside parking.
Parked at Wilson opposite of Peel St.
We had $85 tasting menu. No problems with our ‘no seafood’ preference. Delicious well selected dishes. Quick, professional and friendly service. Good value for money.
Food meal tasty and well presented. Will definitely go back to try more off the menu.
Service so friendly and helpful, especially James.
Thanks to everyone for a lovely evening, food was delicious (as always) and we would have given 10 stars for service if we could. Particular thanks to James and Joe for looking after my mum and I so well. We'll definitely be back when we're next in Adelaide.
Managed to get in for lunch without a reservation, but I’d recommend making one. Tried several dishes and the Banana Blossom Salad with Chicken and the Sashimi were OUTSTANDING! Liked the local winery options, too. If I lived in Adelaide, I’d be eating here on a weekly basis.
My resident bestie brought me here as it's not only her favourite restaurant but she new it would impress me her foodie friend from Melbourne.
The menu is interesting fresh and of high quality. Honestly could not fault the flavours and freshness of this food.
Given I'm travelling nationally right now I have experienced some duds. The wine list is good also and the staff are friendly.
Highly recommend this place
Delicious food and great, prompt service at a reasonable price. My wife tried to resist the desert, but failed dismally
Fantastic food - although they are made for sharing, the portions are large not like tapas style small plates. So be careful not to over order! The wait staff are incredibly helpful and friendly. Special mention to Jess who really made our experience flawless. Helpful and knowledgeable - she was stellar!
Went there tonight and had a wonderful experience! Service was top notch, nothing was too hard and unlike so many other adl restaurants you didn’t need to wave them down! Food was amazing. All around a great restaurant x
Amazingly good food with delicious vegan options. Great vibe, very attentive staff & nice wine list. Every time date night comes around and the Husband & I are deciding where to eat, we always say at exact same time "Peel St". And we can't get there quick enough
If you want to experience the meaning of taste, this is the place. On top of this, the young staff is doing an amazing job.
Incredible food - highly recommend
$85 tasting menu between 2 got us the kingfish sashimi, Burrata, banana blossom salad, swordfish and lamb. All absolutely delicious with favourites being the kingfish and lamb
A very interesting restaurant. Booked because the menu was a bit different to usual Australian big-city food. However, we nearly cancelled as it was not clear exactly what you might get. It turned out to be a really unusual mix of flavours across a range of shared plates, and contrary to what we had been expecting, very good value. Aside the pancetta wrapped around the fish being rather burnt, the meal was excellent.
Bambino for dinner in Peel St. Great pasta and espresso martinis. Service was friendly and very professional. A reasonably quiet Tuesday night but still lots of atmosphere.
Food and service were top notch. Chairs could be a tad more comfortable though as it's a place you'd like to catch up with your mates.
