Looks like a nice restaurant but it stops there

The fish was tasteless, the chips overcooked, and the salad fit for chickens

$28 for fish chips and salad

Can get better for less across the road

Very disappointing

Fantastic fresh seafood, amazing chips and the best tartare sauce. I was recommended to dine here and I was not disappointed.
Thank you

We've been going to Paul's Seafood for over 20 years, never been disappointed! The food is always amazing with great service.

Fabulous service, on-point preparation, banging flavours, and visually appealing presentation of dishes. Ordered lobster tails and it was so fresh. Superbly prepared! I can say the same thing for the desert and salad. The service is spectacular, attentive, and friendly. I’d definitely come back when I’m in a mood for seafood, especially prawns and lobster.

At best it's an average meal with average atmosphere. Service was great and can't fault it.

My friend and I went here for dinner and it was a really good experience. George was very friendly and welcoming and Lou — our server for the night — was very polite and informative.
We ordered Schnitzel and Lobster tails for the main course and Sundaes for dessert — LOVED the presentation of the dessert.
Really enjoyed the music as I'm a huge fan of old school Rock n' Roll.

Definitely very fresh seafood with a large variety of fish and other seafood! You can choose if you want your fish to be crumble grill or battered. You can also pick the amount of fish filets you want. No many salads options or sides options so you pretty much stuck with fries.good fries thou.
The service is great and fast. The place is old and lacks some atmosphere otherwise q great place for dinner or lunch.

The waitress was courteous and attentive. Apart from that, everything else was ugh. I'd rather not elaborate and just leave it at that. There are far better seafood options elsewhere in Adelaide.

Best seafood restaurant in Adelaide its a pity Bradley B has no idea what he's talking about wheres the photos of the meals he actually ate, the chef has been there for many years and takes pride in his work don't take peoples bad reviews as facts go in and try for yourself!

Had a very special 25th wedding anniversary dinner 6-1-23. Entree oysters, soft shell crab and SP calamari were all superb. Mains were plentiful and all cooked to perfection. Best grilled bugs I've ever had. Yummo

Dear me waited 25 minutes for 6 prawns. $18. Wow expensive rubbish.average confused service. Run by either new people or hopeless. Unsure. We won’t be back. 100% sure on that:

Disappointing at best.
Great that this place survived the pandemic period.
However, the food is very basic, especially given their prices.

Was visiting Adelaide from
Tasmania for work and came across this little gem of a restaurant. The decor is ornate and classic, I felt like I had taken a time trip back to when personable service was a thing. The waiters were lovely and welcoming and warm. The chef, and his awesome smile and suggestions has us a remarkable seafood experience. There were 14 of us and so we made it busy for the staff but they did not faulted in their service smiles and etiquette. All in all, it was a delectable, classic gastronomical, foodgasmic experience.

Can’t wait to come back to Adelaide and experiences this again. Each of my colleagues were equally impressed. The mentioned that as locals, it is a favourite amongst favourites.

Thank you again for a splendid, economical and pleasant experience.

Not sure why two stars. Even the grilled fish was greasy. Expensive and unappetising. Fish was bland. Staff were nice, the food, not so much.

I’ve been a patron for 6-7 years and I love it. Teams always nice and they’re not fake. It’s good food and you get good quantities. There’s only one thing I can say as a negative… we want the hand cut chips back please! Give the people what they want.

Ok I'm going to try and start gently. If you've lost the passion to cook? QUIT and STOP destroying beautiful seafood. Please! I believe this ''Seafood restaurant'' is an embarrassment to the restaurant industry. Before I start on the numerous health code violations. We'll talk about the staff. The unapproachable, arrogant and beautiful food destroying chef. Whom looked liked he had clocked out at lunch time so it seemed. The waitress barely spoke any English except for when new people stopped to look at the menu and payment for the little bit of food we could eat. I thought they were joking when she gave me the bill. When you're paying $17: 50 for lettuce with 4 non deveined and frozen prawns. I ordered a dish that any home cook, let alone a Chef could cook not this 1! You don't coat 1 of the oceans best gifts in flower and toss it in the deep fryer. ($46) Hands were not washed and gloves were not worn during food prep. This includes the staff out the back. The bill when walked out of this run down FishFxxckery and chip shop was $145. For 2x prawn cocktails (8) prawns all up, $45 for some deep fried baby Morten Bay bugs with a creamy sauce that you could've used the skin as anti baby making cover and the lettuce. No shortage of that around here, any salad there's just lettuce, lettuce, lettuce and a chunk of really unappealing tomato! No dressing could be seen or tasted! My partner got the lettuce with prawns $42.
Then the venue it's self. Run down, dirty floors, semi dead plant in the corner. (Not the chef) 1 It was packed with early 90's furniture. The seat's had cusions that were stained and disgusting. The kitchen area not a piece of clean glass or stainless steel anywhere. The cooking oil resembled sump from a tractor. From the black mold on the ceiling of the Mens toilet to the algy in the wash basin. Oh and how could I forget the back ally! It's in the posted pictures. I'm extreme dissatisfied with this Restaurant and I personally will never return!

The oysters Kirkpatrick was amazing BUT the seafood platter was very disappointing as friends had one the night before at another location for half the price and it was amazing we will not be going back could have gone to barnacle bills and paid half the price
