Oxenberry Farm Wines reviews
44What a wonderful find. Matteo and the team are very good at what they do.which is provide beautiful food and wine, great service and a lovely setting. Strongly recommend a visit to this lovely property.
I have been to Oxenberry twice in the past year and have not been disappointed! Very generous selection of wine to taste, great staff and the views are fantastic. One of my favourite little gems to visit in McLaren Vale
Dog friendly with great views, great food and great service - the cider is very nice as well!
Ate here for lunch just before Xmas 2023 and was pleasantly surprised by how good the food was here. The outdoor seating was great and also good for our dog, with views overlooking lovely cut grass and the grapevines. The service was good, food came out in a good time and whilst we had a small issue with our meal, it was solved with a smile and without fuss. Which these days is lacking in some restaurants. Would recommend and would eat there again.
Booked here for lunch recently to celebrate our daughter’s birthday. Food was of a really high standard and absolutely delicious. We tried the rose wine and loved it! Staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Thoroughly recommend a visit here and will definitely be back.
Stayed 3 nights in 2 bedroom cottage with friends.nice amenities & comfy bed & breakfast included with amazing, yummy options
Last night electrical storm put on a night show & lost power - no breakfast - very disappointing as only got one cooked breakfast when was hoping for three - Monday was a public holiday & closed …
But still a 5 star rating as Chardonnay & sparkling wines were superb from their cellar door …. Highly recommend the gammay rose too
Booked for lunch 24 April 2023. We had an outside table under the verandah which suited us perfectly. Food, service, outlook just perfect on a 23 degree day blue sky no wind to watch the bike trail riders and kids play on beautifully mown lawn. Pork ribs done to perfection what more could you say its 5*****.
I took 2 friends who hadn't been here before, they loved it! Friendly, welcoming staff. Great variety of food on the lunch menu, all absolutely delicious. Topped off with gorgeous views. A special place!
We stopped for cake and coffee which we thoroughly enjoyed.
Service was very good and staff friendly.
Magnificent and relaxing location. Beautiful food, superb selection of wines and beers, and friendly staff. Pet friendly as well.
We came for lunch & drinks. The place is absolutely beautiful, the scenery outside is gorgeous with tables & chairs on the grassed area overlooking vineyards. The staff are very sweet & lovely & helpful … its just a shame the service is terribly slow and very hit & miss on getting orders right. One complete meal was missed even though it was paid for, we were sharing food & had enough so didnt worry too much and they did happily refund when we explained we did not receive it. There was a glass of red ordered & somehow a white came out. Again they were happy to bring the correct one. Also, I’m not sure why they insist on table service for the extra rounds of drinks we went to the bar to order. We’re already standing right there, surely it is simple to pour a couple of glasses of wine & crack a beer & hand them straight over instead of making us go back to our table & wait a good 10 minutes for them (& then the beer was forgotten!) It just seems a very strange & unnecessary system & quite frustrating for the customer.
But all in all a lovely afternoon spent in the sun with friends & wine & good food
Average location almost on a main road. Tired looking log cabin feel. Friendly staff, overpriced platter with a very small ‘interesting’ not in a good way selection of cheeses and meats. Borderline off pickled cauliflower and some other pickles. Dog friendly and the sparkling wine was good. Sorry guys wouldn’t rate it and won’t be back.
Great wine, beautiful food, perfect for functions, lovely accomodating staff and gorgeous B n B’s
A big thank you to the team at Oxenberry Farm. Yesterday we held a surprise birthday in the function room downstairs. The room looked amazing and the
meals were delicious. The staff were more than helpful with the arrangements and we received excellent service on the day. I would thoroughly recommend this great venue to anyone looking for something special.
Stayed 2 nights in Colton Cottage. Such a quaint, cosy time. A wonderful claw-foot bath, perfect to enjoy the bottle of fizz they put in your fridge. The cottage is situated on the Shiraz Trail, which made it easy to walk to various wineries. We had to leave early on the day of departure, so they arranged some breakfast provisions in the cottage. Perfect!
Very impressed with this unplanned stopover for lunch! I spied a great view of rolling hills, with sheep and horses, grapevines.the food scrumptious.great comprehensive wine list.my muscat was best I've ever tasted.check them out.on a bike oath with a lake and geese.perfect
Only stopped for a coffee but that was great. Definitely want to go back for some food. Such a lovely view sitting outside.
Beautifully situated in the town of Mclaren Vale. This winery, café bistro is easily accessible from the road and a lovely walking/bike trail!
We had a lovely Mothers day lunch and drinks. The meals were superb
Plenty of grassed area for the kids to play too.
A favourite place to eat and share a wine with friends.
Today, I was a little disappointed to discover the regular "all day brunch menu" was discontinued early in the week!
Nevertheless, we stayed and shared a selection of the available grazing platters.
We enjoyed the ambience of the outside dining area, lush grass and vines.
For the adventurous, this venue hires electric bikes only metres from the most attractive bike track! Highly recommended!
Wonderful for coffee. Handy to the Caravan Park, just a short walk across the creek. Very friendly staff and yummy desserts to go with coffee. Dog friendly too, they sell dog biscuits!
