I've been dining at Oh Calcutta for decades. The food is absolutely extraordinary and second to none! Chef Prag is not only a culinary wizard but is extremely personable and very approachable. I'm from Calcutta India and I can testify that the array of Indian dishes are extremely tasty. I highly recommend anyone to dine here.

Open 7 days a week. Been here many times but this time reviewing it. Of all the places that affected on long weekends this place is still open even on public holidays. It is a plus. Parking is easy. Meals are reasonable. Banquet deal is worth the money. A cozy place to enjoy a evening.

Culturally my mum makes an amazing curry and I've never had anyone rival it till now! Cant speak highly enough of the food from Oh Calcutta! The quality and taste is second to none. I've definitely found my new usual takeaway.

Amazing service as always! Food is delicious, never missed a beat! So consistent with all the meals, and the flavour is insane! Must try if you're looking for great indian food.

The meals might take a bit longer to come out, but you know what? You can see them being prepared and they taste amazing, so it really doesn't matter. The staff are friendly and go out of their way to make your dine in experience worth it.

I always love the food but over the last few Uber orders items either have been missing or incorrect. Tonight I didn’t receive ordered rice and my favourite dish Calcutta was missed and instead received Vindaloo. Thankfully the vindaloo was amazing. I really hope the next time I order that it’s correct otherwise it will be my last. If the owners read the reviews my order was #OD940 03 Sep.

Very disappointing visit to oh Calcutta tonight, very poor service, 1hour and 15 mins waiting on the second and third dishes to arrive, the chicken tandoori very dry. The place was freezing cold, will never return, it was a waste of money.

Very cosy atmosphere with Awesome food, spicy and tasty.
Will suit Englishmen looking for a "traditional" English/Indian curry.

Absoulutley dissapointed! Ordered over $70 of food Have been waiting 2 hours for our food and still waiting. Unbelievable!

Update after waiting that long all the food was cold! Could not believe it. Butter was chicken dry naan bread stale. I'm shocked! Especially living 5 mins away I can not understand how they conduct such poor food service. Next time we will take the extra trip to hallet cove barramundi drive for Indian it's delicious there! For other first time buyers I highly suggest you give this place a miss. Disgusted @

Absolutely amazing Indian! Definitely recommend eating here, one of the best I have tasted in the southern suburbs. Samosas are beautiful and the goat curry was out of this world

Normally a great place to eat.
Owner was not there tonight and you could tell, 1hr 40 mins to get our food.
When we got home there was nothing we ordered, all wrong meals and missing a complete dish.
Not sure what’s going on there but if they think they can just cook one meal at a time they are kidding.
Hate to have to write this but seriously a joke tonight.

Great food I have been eating here 10 years and during that time I have noticed that if the owners aren't in the restaurant the service is horrible.

Why there once a few years ago. Possibly the worst curry ever. Hopefully it's changed hands now

Once again the guys and gals smashed it out of the park. Great Food, great value, great service. You won't regret it!

Avoid this restaurant as they are prone to false advertising. They offer a $50 meal deal on the home page of their website which includes "2 x House Curries (no Seafood) " but if you order lamb or beef house curries then they want to charge you an extra $2 per dish. Don't advertise one thing, and then charge more for it. It breeds mistrust.

We booked for 6 and was squeezed onto a table for 5.and I'm unsure if it was the waitresses first night or not but the service was awful. The order had mistakes throughout the meal and food took a long time to come even though there was only one other couple eating in. Entree was average and the samosas we were served looked just like the ones you get out of a packet in the frozen section of Coles. They took an order for onion bhaji's and didn't actually tell us they weren't on the menu and just replaced it with a funny type of pakora and what Indian restaurant doesn't have onion bhaji's? Our mains saved the experience and we're really nice but the painful experience of just getting what you ordered and half doing the waitresses job wasn't worth the $220 bill at the end. This restaurant would have to pick up its game for me to bother going back.

Great food.we came bang on when they opened and the chef was great to deal with and provide fantastic food shortly after.one of the few local places to open for lunchtime most days.

Curry Sauce house.
2nd time in 20 yrs thinking it would be better.
Must have a pan of sauce, chuck the main ingredient in and slop it in take out container.
